Hey I never bought new but I bought a wrecked 19 titan with the cummins in it and was wondering if it's worth doing a delete on it? Has 4100 miles on it and it still warrantied for some reason. Although I never take my vehicles to the dealer i figured if I ever wanted to sell it having an actual service record rather than keeping all the receipts. Although my 7.3 has all the emissions shit off of it and it runs fine with 500k miles on it.
I'm waiting to delete my 18 2500 RAM til the bumper to bumper runs out, then off with all this garbage... A bit of advice for those of you who have to use DEF fluid still-- its only a little over $2 a gallon at the pump, I've NEVER bought one of those gay overpriced DEF boxes at a store- I've always gone to the DEF pumps at any Semi Island at a gas station- way cheaper.
The thing that sucks about going long bed with a mega cab is you often end up with a two piece drive line, to get the geometry right. Which in my experience to fail at the center bearing. Between the two shafts. We had received several defective two pieces at once point. They barely last 5,000 miles before the center bearing failed. You also generally have to purchase the entire drive line assembly so its quite expensive. Not to mention the limited front steering angle with 4 wheel drive. The extra length can be annoying at times.
You idle too much. I never seen clogs like that before Unless you run fuel with high sulfur which you can't even get anymore so easily. Even the red stuff is ULSF. You should always use you engine brake. Blow that crap out the turbo.
Myles Swann they have a internal egr lol I'm the cam once the cylinders are open the cam lets exhaust gas back into the cylinders until you install a aftermarket cam
You know this is one of my favorite channels and i figured out why, you just get shit done no fucking around its a lot of fun to watch. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Gotta love those emission controls. Biggest waste of money you'll ever have. Makes the truck last half of what they can normally go. Great job man keep up the good work!
I deleted mine at 55K and never looked back... it was in the shop every other week. The variable geometry turbo is why it's so quiet. Thanks for the video
The 99.5 to 2003 VW diesels are the same way, mine had 200,000 miles on it and it looked exactly like that intake! My EGR was completely clogged with the same stuff!!
for your crank vent, you should consider a oil catch can that should prevent all that mess... Then you don't need relocate the hose that goes to the turbo to remove crank case pressure.
Awesome Video, I'm sure that fuel economy will now increase dramatically, which to me, equates to simple common sense - less fuel burned (including post injections) = less emissions ! I really need to do a full delete. I did the ccv delete because I was having problems with the VGT. In this video you mentioned a pressure sensor on the ccv- I have a 2007.5, and I hope that the early models did not have the sensor, so far no problems. You have a Great Channel - Thanks !
I have reverse engineered several ECUs, I burn chips and have done VW TDI Tuning. How are you making adjustments on the cummins engines? I know you are flashloading them, but given what you are doing with the emissions stuff it doesn't sound like you are just checking some boxes in software. Are you actually disassembling the code and changing values to skip certain subroutines? Could you possibly point me in the direction of a page that covers what flashloader you are using and details about the ECU? I would love to do some reading up on this. I have been looking at swapping a cummins motor and haven't explored the tuning aspect of it yet. I thoroughly enjoy your videos, been subscribed for about a year now. Thanks for sharing! Thanks, Doogie
Just found your channel and subbed. 2001 Dodge 3500 Flatbed 5.9l 24v P-Pump here. That truck will run much better now with that garbage removed. I'm all for the environment, sure. But I'm more interested in how my truck is running on a daily ( minute to minute!) basis. It's a workaholic. I often think about my truck in the same way gun owners feel about their firearms. If some had their way, we'd be shit out of our trucks and left on our rear ends with under-powered electric piles of garbage. Green New Deal My Ass!
Not sure what you ever figured for backpressure on the ccv filter, but the one on the 2011 i drive plugged off after about 90000K without being gutted and it was pushing oil out of the front cover and into the exhaust through the turbo, so id recommend gutting it. also dig the alice in chains, and the xbox plasma controller lol
Better fuel mileage, longer oil life (it stays clean), more power and cleaner engine internals. Seems like a better alternative than forcing an engine to inhale some of its exhaust and then trying to burn up the waste products of inefficient combustion by adding another chemical (DEF) from a bottle that can't be recycled and super heating them with extra fuel (DPF) adding extra heat to the environment. Maybe the EPA engineers should test a breathing mask with a hose connected to their "exhaust port" and see if the net effect is lower emissions.
Now I gotta take my intake manifold apart, that is caked! Did you end up logging crank case pressures then do the CCV delete / empty out the filter? Thanks for the video!
Switch out that down pipe. You’ll be amazed. It’s a night and day difference. I couldn’t believe how much better it sounded on my 08. Makes it sound like a beast.
In the states we have an oven cleaner called EZ-OFF (yellow can) or carbon-off (industrial grade) that will, without a doubt, clean out all the little shit you had left in the intake. And dissolve your skin if not careful.
Running better than my 2010 with 350k deleted no tunes still have to do my ccv delete but don’t want oil on my driveway and heard somewhere it needs a small amount of vacuum from turbo.
Awesome video man. Sounds like the valves need to be adjusted. Definitely sounds a whole lot better than it did though. Is that electrical tape for a steering wheel cover.
Man you should look at shortening the delays on the table. It takes forever to start a cut and before it moves to the next pierce. You could speed up production by probably 20% on these flanges. And it would reduce the man hours to build your own delete plates. On that note we may need to have a conversation about my brand new 2019 mega HO that I’m picking up....
This video right here is one I wish I could share with EVERYONE, the entire diesel and non diesel community. I've never seen a worse case video or should say best case for deleting modern Diesels. And I've watched hundreds of hours of video, spent countless hours working on trucks and just being a diesel lover. This is all the proof anyone should ever need. Like who the fuck likes to eat their own farts and poo until it doesn't stink anymore.
Are you going to be making tunes for the forth gens now that you've got one? I'm hoping to get my hands on a 4th gen soon and would love to have one of your tunes. You are my favorite truck channel, you definitely know your shit.
Absolutely the exact reason why folks delete their diesel trucks... That poor truck couldn't breath with all that crud in the intake..... First gasp of clean air in a long time...
Theres a diaphragm and spring under the ccv cover that should come out too since the turbo is no longer pulling it open. I think its 3 tamper proof screws. Mine leaked oil from the cover until I took them out
If I buy a brand new Ram 2500 or whatever, can I do what you're doing and as long as it passes inspection it's not illegal or anything? I don't want to buy a truck that pumps sludge and crap into it. I want to do what you're doing, but do it on day 1. If I delete the EGR and bypass or reroute the CCV, will it pass inspection? Was there a turbo, I didn't see one. Have you ever heard of a product called PedalMax? Love your channel, freaking awesome.
My truck had 165k miles when I took it apart to clean everything out. There was just a light coating of soot on everything. Nothing like that! I wonder if you have alot of blowby?
It's kinda weird, my 2012 F350 has more miles than that truck with all stock emissions and I took it apart to clean the throttle plate and do a egr service, the egr was quite dirty but it basically washed out with purple power and dawn...the throttle plate wasn't that bad...Cummins/FCA have handled emissions calibrations poorly...very very poorly.
I did delete tunes at 7k miles on my truck and did the full egr delete at 21k I was surprised how much crap was already in there I’ll never have a non deleted truck again
Dude, the filter is connected via WiFi. That’s why it kept reading it full. Just joking man. Great video. Just saw one of your builds, went to your channel and like your content. I’m subscribed.
not even bad, opened one volvo D5 engine with 570 000km and the intakemanifold had easily a 2cm coating all around of oil and exhaust shit, the runners were like finger tight. egr shit sucks. atleast it is super easy to block on the D5 volvos, just one plate between the manifold inlet and egr valve, no tuning needed most times.
I seen a 6.7l that wouldnt run because it was block solid at the grid heater. It's crazy. I have a 2012 6.7l I bought new at 1000miles I took everthing off of it
Fuck yeah man. I've got an '08. Looking at going with HP tuners really would like to learn to tune it myself. What's a good way to start? DL stock an it's that for a base?
Do you stand firm on the CCV system not needing a vacuum? I’ve read so much on the 2 ways to remedy the oil going into your turbo (catch can, or simple CCV delete kit or hose to the frame). I’m so on the fence about what to do. I have an 18, which I heard will throw a code if it doesn’t see a vacuum. I’m not so worried about the electrical side of things as I am for whether or not it needs vacuum to pull the pressure out.
I have a 2018 ram Limited with 342 in gears completely stock 23,000 miles on it don’t want to delete it would you have a custom tune for it so it runs a little better give it a little more pep how much would something like that cost
Better for the air quality my ass more like guaranteed money for the manufacturer when shit goes bad because alot of people are to scared to go anywhere but the dealership.
Stupid question, are you capable in tune revising off a module bought from a different company? I’m having no luck getting ahold of where I bought my tunes from, and I added some gofast parts... lol
i saw this was a welding channel and i thought he was gonna cut the cab and delete the mega cab part of the truck not delete the emissions . 😂
Oh Spaniards......
Juan Hernandez stick around. This channel is awesome and his welding and fabrication work is amazing
A long bed conversion and deck build for that thing would be cool that bed is so short it looks ridiculous in my opinion
I know Im quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to stream new movies online?
@Shane Azariah I watch on FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
Hahaha great example as to why we delete..... don’t get me started on DEF fluid. Saving the environment one non reusable plastic jug at a time!!!!!
I agree and I am a tree hugger. That is why I own an 05 without any of that crap. I will never own anything newer than an 07.
Hey I never bought new but I bought a wrecked 19 titan with the cummins in it and was wondering if it's worth doing a delete on it? Has 4100 miles on it and it still warrantied for some reason. Although my 7.3 has all the emissions shit off of it and it runs fine with 500k miles on it.
Pat what emissions stuff does a 7.3 have? It shouldn’t be much. But yes always worth it to delete any diesel but you loose warranty
@@jacknimble1 facts lmao
I'm waiting to delete my 18 2500 RAM til the bumper to bumper runs out, then off with all this garbage... Go crazy build with it. Long bed-mega cab conversion with wielding flatbed.
Garrett cooke exactly what I was thinking plus I know this guy could easily do it
The thing that sucks about going long bed with a mega cab is you often end up with a two piece drive line, to get the geometry right. Which in my experience to fail at the center bearing. You should always use you engine brake. Blow that crap out the turbo.
I feel blessed to own an 03 5.9 after seeing how those emissions systems clog the intake. Keep the content coming.
I hope they did some sort of recall on that gunk buildup, that's wild.
You da man. 3rd gen squad
Myles Swann they have a internal egr lol I'm the cam once the cylinders are open the cam lets exhaust gas back into the cylinders until you install a aftermarket cam

Awesome video again ! When I deleted my 6.7 I could not believe how much crap was in my engine....🙈
That filter setup is what was on 3rd gens here in the states. Downpipe doesnt have the catalyst in it anymore just a flex pipe.
"This stuff, Garbage" Love it. It was crazy how mucked up the system was.
You’re an absolute genius! You need to open up your own shop!
"Garbage"... couldn't have said it better myself, lol. Great vids, bro! Really enjoy watching your channel and the work you do with your trucks.
The 99.5 to 2003 VW diesels are the same way, mine had 200,000 miles on it and it looked exactly like that intake! My EGR was completely clogged with the same stuff!!

Set you exhaust valves, they set them way loose with egr and once you get rid you can set then to normal .020
love the frequent content lately! As bad as it sounds, im really looking forward to when you blow and engine and we get another engine build video.
Well said again...."that's garbage...."
Just found your channel and subbed. 2001 Dodge 3500 Flatbed 5.9l 24v P-Pump here. That truck will run much better now with that garbage removed. I'm all for the environment, sure. LULZ the 360 controller 4 the plazma had me dyin!!!
This video is unbelievable! I cannot believe all the crap you pulled out of there. Also, I love your choice of music today!! STP ftw!
As soon as that plasma cutter finished the flange and he test fit it, I pressed the like button

Just got your deletes for mine today! Can’t wait to get it all setup, wish me luck on trying to figure out how to operate this auto cal jobby
The shit a modern diesel has to ingest to meet emissions is why there no longer the longest lasting truck engine on the road today. 🤨
07 & under 3rd gen 2nd gen & 1st gen 😍
The most efficient, powerful, cheapest to maintain and long lasting engines that can run on peanut oil have been murdered by big government.
Good music and awesome delete. Keep the vids coming.
Awesome video that's probably the worst inlet/grid heater I've seen did the truck run around town just a grocery getter ? 🙋♂️
I dig the Alice in Chains
Thanks for the vids I have a 2014 3/4 tone and this helps lots I'd like to build my 68rfe
I've been waiting for a new video man. Keep posting you're awesome videos man. Always epic

Its fine to vent under the truck. It don't need any vacuum!
Any updates with the ol twin turbo third gen?!?!?? Miss that beast:(
Awesome video man. Sounds like the valves need to be adjusted. Definitely sounds a whole lot better than it did though. Is that electrical tape for a steering wheel cover.
HOLY SHIT!!! Can't believe that soot.
Good idea to re torque the injector transfer tubes while you got the fuel lines off
I know the length of exhaust pipe also has a big effect on loudness whether it is straight piped or not. I’m sure you know that. Great videos man. 🙃
Love your work man, this megacab is gonna be a fun project.
Aahh.... Yes!!! Another Cummins saved!!
You should fab those block off plates and sell them. They are getting hard af to get ahold of here in the states now. EPA Shit
Wow.. I’m lost for words on how dirty that was
That thing was filthy holy shit.
Very cool. That gunk looks worse than when I clean my wood stove.
Skill, pure skill!!
Nice work! One day I’ll figure out how to get my truck to you !

probably much happier truck now that it doesn't have all the crap choking it down

Wow, like cleaning out a nasty BBQ. Crazy.
my 12 megacab needs this terribly. let me/us know when ur tuning is ready to roll
Unbelievable how much crap was in the intake hard to believe it was still running.
Prime example why to delete
I deleted my 2016 just so I didnt have to deal with all the soot. Plus it runs much nicer and sounds better 😁.
Theres a diaphragm and spring under the ccv cover that should come out too since the turbo is no longer pulling it open. I think its 3 tamper proof screws. Mine leaked oil from the cover until I took them out

Truck definitely sounds good need to get that down pipe piece give her some growl💪🏻
Best delete video out there 🤙🏻
Looks like we are in similar areas. Sweet. Should get together sometime.
My truck had 165k miles when I took it apart to clean everything out. There was just a light coating of soot on everything. Nothing like that! I wonder if you have alot of blowby?
Short trips and a lot of idle time will soot it up. Its Canada they don't shut shit off all winter. If u run them hard and hot they don't get that bad
Wow a steering wheel cover for inspection? That’s ridiculous, you must have taken it to Pep boys for an inspection
Bud what happen to you please come back
It's kinda weird, my 2012 F350 has more miles than that truck with all stock emissions and I took it apart to clean the throttle plate and do a egr service, the egr was quite dirty but it basically washed out with purple power and dawn...the throttle plate wasn't that bad...Cummins/FCA have handled emissions calibrations poorly...very very poorly.
Tristan Wolff this probably has a million hours idling
Hey I really like your work if you had 02 dodge 3500 flatbed build that Is like that pipeline bed and I’d totally buy it
why does the looks of the steering wheel affect whether or not it passes inspection
Money thing....
Bro where you been??
What kit did you purchase? Interested in a good value kit for CDN market.
You ought to build and sell those pipes online
Good job man now U can call it a truck
not even bad, opened one volvo D5 engine with 570 000km and the intakemanifold had easily a 2cm coating all around of oil and exhaust shit, the runners were like finger tight. egr shit sucks. atleast it is super easy to block on the D5 volvos, just one plate between the manifold inlet and egr valve, no tuning needed most times.
Wow,, makes those pre-emissions trucks worth more money
I seen a 6.7l that wouldnt run because it was block solid at the grid heater. It's crazy. I have a 2012 6.7l I bought new at 1000miles I took everthing off of it

that intake bro omfg !!!
I deleted mine at 40K... got tired of bringing it to the shop for DPF issues... fuck Dodge warranty... i wanted my truck to run:)
Awsome job. Keep up the great videos.
Good work man
i just wait for your new projects awsome
You can do all by yourself with these machines!
I have a 2018 ram Limited with 342 in gears completely stock 23,000 miles on it don’t want to delete it would you have a custom tune for it so it runs a little better give it a little more pep how much would something like that cost
Can I ask how you got into tuning? It's something that I would like to start getting into as well.
How long is the inspection good for? I live in New Jersey and it's every 2 years
Wont need to be inspected ever again unless cop gives me inspection ticket.
ccv, doesnt that help with block pressure, saving seals?
Better for the air quality my ass more like guaranteed money for the manufacturer when shit goes bad because alot of people are to scared to go anywhere but the dealership.
I’ve been told a million things about deleting.. one being does it affect exhaust brakes
Is that some type of "initial inspection" when it's registered or do they pick on strait bullshit (seat and steering wheel?!!?) annually ?
Only needs an inspection if importing from another province or if cop gives you inspection ticket.
Always things to do 👨🔧
Hell yeah!!
Stupid question, are you capable in tune revising off a module bought from a different company? I’m having no luck getting ahold of where I bought my tunes from, and I added some gofast parts... lol
Most likely wont be able to access your old tuning to edit. Will just have to start fresh with new calibration
