"Sticking to the trees" ...As someone who lives in a ski resort, it means Wet, 30-degree, big-flake snow. For the NE, it means "icy roads". For us in the West, it means "Sierra Cement/Slush".
I really like this video. It’s soothing. The heated switch was pretty cool to see. I saw the lighting too and thought it was just light in the video but you mentioned it yourself. It isn’t that rare for lightning to be in a snowstorm. It does happen.
@ 1:50 "flashing green because of trees down on the tracks". A flashing green is an Advanced Clear. The signal would be a flashing red, if the dispatcher was concerned of possible debris on the tracks or the dispatcher would radio the train crew and relay to them to travel at restricted speed from M.P. "X" to M.P. "Y".
@@wnyrailfan9510 Different railroad have different names for their color aspect even though the aspect is the same display. My point, obviously you missed it, is that, if there is known debris to be on the tracks, the dispatcher would give a red aspect; not a green aspect.
Actually for Csx red over flashing green, usually represents limited clear, limited speed through turnouts and switches then resume speed as fast as allowed
This brings back many many memories of growing up near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Snow and trains, rivers and tugboat barges.
Something really serene about this. Nice video man!
Some nice train footage in a snowstorm. For some reason i keep coming back to this every couple of weeks.
Enjoyed watching this. It was relaxing.
This is just what I needed to see! This is just perfect!

It’s a limited clear. Limited speed through turnout, then proceed at authorized speed. Limited speed is 45mph
