Thank u this takes me back to when I was a young boy living on the farm we didn't have any heat up stairs in winter we had plenty of blankets this is exactly what sounded like when a winter storm would come under my blankets thinking of a innocent time.

I remember that too in the west of Ireland. You're in trouble and you need blankets when the Inside of the window is frozen ....brrrrrrrr.
My Mama used to tell us a similar story. She was reared in 🦊 Fox River, Wisconsin .
My father would cover the windows with heavy plastic and it helped a lot. The heavy quilts kept us warm and cozy.

This reminds me of when me and my sister was younger we lived with our grandpa for a little bit and he has a wood stove,the whole house would stay nice and warm as we could hear and see the wind blowing like crazy sometimes in the middle of the day we'd fall asleep listening to it 😴

Oh my, there is nothing like a good snow storm going on outside, and your inside where its warm with a nice bowl of chili or some kind if soup to warm up your insides, along with a hot cup of tea, wrapped in your favorite blanket with soft music playing and your cat or dog laying along side you. I love to hear winter winds. If I cant get away to sleep in an old cabin I built with my best friend back in the 80's in the worst of winter I will set up a shelter in my back yard on the worst of the winter nights where I live. There is something primeval about howling winter winds.
Ah, the winter winds, nature's way of reminding us to stay indoors and drink hot cocoa! But I totally get the appeal, there's a certain charm to the howling winds that can't be denied.
I'm hoping the little n big birds have migrated somewhere warmer . And all the animals in the trees n forests are safe n this passed quickly . Shiver just to think of them , as I love animals n all of Gods creation .

I often wonder where the little creatures take cover in storms like this. In winter I see the bird's nests in the stark trees withstand the terrible winds and marvel at the world. I pray they all find warmth in the shelter of the earth, tree trunks, and covered places.
I love this noise but hate the thought of animals being cold and struggling to find food in the winter.

@Veronica A. Me too, we are only a few as most people love summer but I love colder weather. The heat gives me migraines and just is irritating when it gets so humid and hot.
Cuddled up with my husband and the kids when the older 2 were little ones in the front room. We'd make a pallet on the floor and watch through the patio doors. Another cherished memory. He recently passed...I miss him so 😢

It was a beautiful sound in the winter. We had an old farm house and the windows were not tight upstairs so it was perfect for sleeping under those warm loving blankets my grandmother hand made for all us kids.....Love those days! So long ago...

This is amazing, one of my favourites. I close my eyes and imagine I am in an attic or mountaintop cave with heavy blankets. I live with someone who wants windows closed all the time and complains of the cold so this is a great way for me to fall asleep. I have my fan going and pretend it's the wind flying through my blanket. I sleep like a baby.

I love being Canadian and having the long cold dark winter nights! These sounds remind me of the extraordinarily cold winters I experienced growing up in the 90s. Especially nights at my grandmothers. I will never forget the morning we woke after a storm to find her dark blue Nissan Sentra completely buried. She made me pea soup that day. Miss you Nonna♥️

I live in the northernmost town of Iceland. This is the most authentic winter storm sounds on YT. The only thing lacking is the snow beating on the windows. Something like drizzling rice on glass .

I grew up in a small up north in an old house with no heat just a couple small heaters downstairs. So cold upstairs with lots of blankets and the windows rattling! I love this sound and the snow....I hate getting dressed for school in the mornings tho!

It's Feb. 2nd, 2023 and NYC is going to get a winter vortex this weekend. It's already 38° but no snow this winter...yet. I can feel the cold air coming in my window (it's slightly open) and I love it! This video makes it even more cozy!

Tonight many will feel the need to sleep but before they do....the Night Train may have something special instore for it's passengers!

So if sleep is all you need then I suggest you close your eyes and by pass the next stop. It's a place that also exists in your dreams....or a Night Train going anywhere....in the twilight zone.

Tried your link for the other video you spoke about. Couldn’t get it to appear. This video is really cool, good job. I lived in Alberta more than 30 years and as a telephone installer / repairman I have seen every kind of winter winds and cold temperatures. Also worked very close to the north pole in 1977 as an 18 year old, and we got plenty of windy nights. Between the buildings there were good solid hand lines built in because sometimes the white out conditions were sever enough you had to hang on or you might get lost.

I remember when I was growing up. We always looked forward to seeing the snow and the blizzard a. In the late 50's and through the 70's. We didn't have a system to announce that there would be no school. My Mom would have to listen to the radio in order to see if we had school or not. For years it was that way until the television had the announcements on the bottom of the news screen to say if school was closed or delayed..

This reminds me of my time as a child.in my country didn't snow but it was almost every day/night windy,but there were some nights where the wind was so strong that I enjoyed its sound on the windows and windows's blinds plus we had three pie trees close to the second floor's window.my God what a sound it was,like this but stronger.

I use it in winter to fix an injury cold irritated.
I really only heard this because my room was so hot. It helped a lot to show me that the atmosphere in the room was more comfortable for me to sleep well despite just listening to the blizzard video.

How I love the winter! It’s still very cold where I am and there is a lot of snow on the ground. I’m chilled and I’ve turned on my electric blanket and I’m snuggling under the covers listening to this. Pure heaven.
