"Should I change my pickups?" "How frets affect the sound?" "Should I go for a different wood for the neck?" "Is mahogany warmer than alder?" "Do bigger strings have warmer attack?" The answer to all of these questions and all the others? Jaco plays a fretted Jaydee and sounds exactly THE SAME as always with his fretless jazz: he sounds 100% like Jaco. @@patrickbuchmann-sdinganuff Vraiment ''quelle classe'' pour l'epoque... C'est toujours d'actualite a ce sujet... so good so far...
You played Woodstock 1994 ? I remember tuning into that on the radio while on holiday in Cornwall England with my ex and our baby daughter. Good days
Yes , that was fun! I'm currently putting a video together with personal backstage footage and the actual concert with Geoffrey Oryema. Keep posted!
those two giants should've played together much more and developed their enormous potential higher and higher 👏
Thank you for the comment!
@@patrickbuchmann-sdinganuff 👍 ❤

Pure brilliance
Thank you for watching Nicky!
So freaking good.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Wha??!! Jaco playing a fretted bass (I think) thru a Peavy amp (for sure)!
Yes, he had no bass with him, a student lent him this Jay Dee and played through the school's Peavey amp. Still sounds like him ! Thanks for watching!
@@patrickbuchmann-sdinganuff Wow shows what a master can do. I don't remember if I played through that Peavey in Performance Rm 3. But I sure hated those LAB series that most rooms had.
@@tonecontro3585 I sure had a hard time playig those drumsets in those rooms! Was a great time anyway though!
Jaco just doesn't miss. So much control.
The king! Thanks for watching!
Jacob is à god of funky and the King of the groove
Agreed.

They opened with that "sly and family stone' groove.
Nice groove to star with! Thank you for watching Jay!
I heard Jaco doing some Hendrix riffs in there on the second jam.
Purple Haze! Thanks for watching!
DID YOU KNOW…? Electric Bass virtuoso Jaco P. was originally a Drummer. (Yes, his first Instrument was the Drums.)
Of course! He's the drummer on Teen Town! Thanks John!
I didn’t know that. A bit like Zappa then. Would have liked to hear them both jam
A sporting injury lead to him switching instruments 👍
Wow this Gold here!
Yes, thank you Randy!
"Should I change my pickups?"
"How frets affect the sound?"
"Should I go for a different wood for the neck?"
"Is mahogany warmer than alder?"
"Do bigger strings have warmer attack?"
The answer to all of these questions and all the others?
Jaco plays a fretted Jaydee and sounds exactly THE SAME as always with his fretless jazz: he sounds 100% like Jaco.
When you're there, at that level of personality in the way you sound, let me know if you still care about the mahogany of the body
So true! Thanks for watching!
Super cher Patrick Buchmann !

A hidden treasure indeed.
Thanks Tim!
Some bass players are so good they just make you want to quit playing bass... Jaco is _so_ good he always makes me want to pick it up again 😂
So true. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
