Sorry about the wind noise! For this video series I've been using Rycote's excellent Windjammer mini fuzzies (link in video description), and they worked so well I got a little overconfident on the upper mountain... :)
To be honest I keep coming back to the original Rustler--it really hits the spot for me. I think the Sender 104 is a good example of the weird sort of rut Rossi got itself into. It's a good and certainly well-balanced ski, but it doesn't quite have the personality or sparkle of some of the other contenders in the category (even those which are in some way flawed). In contrast I think Rossi's new (2024) Sender Free is a very interesting ski, but too wide at 110 underfoot. I also like Atomic's Bent a lot.
@@AndyLewicky 100%. That original Rustler 10 is phenomenal. You look at all the rocker and unconvincing piece of metal in the middle and think not sure how this is going to work. Then you ski it and it’s beyond magic in the soft snow but the thing that blows me away, every time, is how good it is on hard snow, when it has no right too!!!!!
I try to take each ski on exactly the same sequence of runs, for the most direct comparison. And then sometimes I add something else, if I think the ski might be good at it. For the video clips, I try to vary the location to create a little visual variety -- and also to share views of Mammoth's incomparable terrain & beauty :)

Great review again Andy, Vs the old version Rustler 10?

I bought the 2022 Stokli AR. Love it. What do you think?
I did not try a Stockli this year, but spoke to others at the show who thought very highly of them
How are you already on it?
The WWSRA show is an annual industry event that allows retailers and industry professionals to test the upcoming season's gear.
Im a Mammoth transplant to Idaho. It seems like depending where and what you ski depends on the terrain.

What was your favorite ski that you demoed at the WWSRA ??
In this category definitely the 2023 Ranger 102 -- see playlist in the vid description for the link to that review
@@AndyLewicky does this category include the QST 98, blizzard rustler 9, k2 mindbender 99, nordica enforcer 100??
@@ambertudor Yes, and I tried to compare and contrast those skis to help identify what kinds of skiers they might appeal to.
This would be what I consider to be the ideal modern all-mountain widths (~98-102mm)
@@AndyLewicky and out of all that i listed, your favorite was the ranger 102, i saw your vid on the QST and i thought that was your favorite?
