Bob, it's been 3 plus months since your posted this video. I hope you're well!! Here, in Pennsylvania, I'm finally planning my winter January trip to Colorado, where I ski for several weeks in January and return in March, too. Last season I rode the Stokli Stormrider 88 for frontside groomers. Nice ski. Now I want a wider ski for deeper soft snow. Of course, this Rossignol Sender in 164 cm. is a 102 waisted ski and not too heavy (3820 grams). I might purchase this, but am wondering about both the women's Armada Reliance 102 ti in 164 (3432 grams ) with a longer turn radius: 17 or perhaps the DSP Pgoda 106 C2 in 163 cm (3778 grams). I'm an advanced skier, but getting up in years at 75, yet still like speed and popping turns, playing around on the mountain. 145 pounds and fit, I hope. Any direction I might find enjoyment?
We talk about this all the time--nobody has ever been disappointed with an Armada Reliance/Declivity. They are the closest thing that I've found to a Stockli regarding silence and smoothness. They use a lighter caruba wood core so it does make for a fun-loving and energetic feel while the titanal keeps it smooth and quiet. There are merits to the Rossignol, as it's clean and strong, and the DPS, which is stiff and responsive, but overall, the Armada skis are some of the most enjoyable and rewarding ones out there, I'd lean that route. Have a blast!
The 104 is a bit wider, so the surface area will be comparative to that of the Mantra in the 191. If you want longer, you'll have to go to the 106 Ti Plus, which is a burlier build, and you can go 187 or 194 in that ski.
It’s been a year since you posted this, but I have a question. Currently have the 2020 Head Kore 105 and 2021 Head Kore 93, but it’s time for some new 105’s. Can’t decide if I should go with this Rossignol Sender 104 or the 2022 Head Kore 105. What you reckon? I can imagine they are quite similar
The new 105 is smoother, damper, and quieter than the 2020 version so there is an upgrade to be had if you wish. The Sender 104 has a flatter tail but I don't find it works better in softer snow. I'm a huge Kore 105 fan so am somewhat biased here. Nothing wrong with the Rossignol, I just really like the Kore.

Bob, I am 1,90. The ski is 1,86...seems a bit short. My current ski is a Mantra M5 2018/19 in 191 and in generally like it in the length....

I have an opportunity to get a good deal on these with Marker Griffon 13 GW bindings- what do you think of this combo, mainly the binding? Thanks!
No issues with this combo--ski or binding. Great setup!
Were those skis made in China or Spain?
Spain!
