That "It's useful!" on Humpty cracked me up Lawrie 😂
It is! So happy with it.
Hello @@lmm
"Im concerned by the lack of oil"...OH GOD!!
Wasn't expecting that to happen like that. 😂
Humpty is now basically the shunter of the shed now. LOL
Pretty much. It's great!
Best mates dad had a T20 on the back garden, Was out front but when he decided to move it he took it apart piece by piece, And because there is no access to back garden from the front, went through the house with it and assembled it on back garden, Unfortunately a few years ago mates dad passed away and mate decided to sell the T20 and the guy who brought it had to hire a crane to lift it off the back garden, over the house and onto a waiting trailer. A sad sight but also a brilliant sight at same time.
Keep it up LMM 😁
They're not meant to be in the sky! Quite the accomplishment to move it piece by piece!
They're lovely little tractors.
We'll try our hardest!
might need another £1000 crowd-funding to fix Viking the JCB's hydraulics ... and humpty might be the best £20 ?? you've ever spent
Humpty is the best money I've ever spent! Sorting Viking will take a little more time and money 😂
humpty is by far the most useful and cost effective vehicle you own. you have gotten far more than 25 pounds worth of use from it, with little cost to you other than fuel. did you think that would be the case the day you loaded it into your work van? because i can truly say i didn't. that thing is a champ! it needs a place of honor, or a medal, or at least an attaboy, good show!
Honestly I had no idea it would be this good. It was just sad abandoned in a garden.
Always got to have lots of big boys toys to play with. Since I am stuck at home I have been messing with bicycles, motor bikes, lawn mower, aircraft heaters, homemade kites and rockets
Oh that's enough to keep you busy!
The way the shadows moved some didn't start easy!
might be 2:30am, but here i am watching this
Glad to provide you with your early morning viewing!
Looks like Ash is now a full member of the team!!
He's very useful, he's welcome to come back.
Hi Lawrie, great vid, it's true that anything that is started with a Lucas key, can be started with a screwdriver, the key off a Spam tin also works, in fact, I remember starting a mini-paver at work with my garden shed key, stay safe, all the best from Scotland, Stephen.
That's brilliant! Just like the old Ford key - you could lock any other Ford!
While it'd be a lot of work, I'd consider taking the digger attachment off completely so that you can give it a proper repair job in terms of replacing bolts, stripping paint, sanding and repainting it. That would also give you good access to the back of Viking to fix the rust issues there (because let's be honest, there's going to be rust issues back there ;) )
That's actually not a bad idea.
Something that would also be worth checking on the Minor is that it has the right carb on it. Some people did like to try shoving bigger SUs on Minors with stock engines to try and get more power which would just chronically over-fuel them, just like yours is doing. Otherwise, it could just be knackered and need a rebuild and a new needle and seat...
That's actually a good thought. I'll have a gander at it when we're next there.
I'm thinking rebuild.
I'm looking at an MF40 tomorrow :) The back end of Viking has done an insane amount of work, that bucket has had a busy life and the sloppiness is very impressive!
Great video cheered me up love watching your vids
Great to hear it cheered you up! Really super to hear you're enjoying what we do!
Great video really enjoyable watch, humpty rocks 😂👍
Glad you enjoyed it, I think it's a great bit of kit too!
I love seeing these progress updates along with Lawrie Goes Loco are my favourite videos. I hope you had enough time to do a review on the Digger because I think that'd be really cool to see.
That's great to hear you're enjoying what we do!
We will be doing stuff with it when it's done!
I do enjoy's Ash's expressions, always has that look of "hey ho another load of shit!" 😂. A good busy month with some achievements made, fun had and space freed up. I so want to own Artie, it's a class looking car.
I think he really does despair over the state of some of the vehicles! It's been a very good month, lot of progress. Artie is great. Can't wait to get it sorted.
@@lmm I'd put a 1275 engine and gearbox in Artie with a 3.7 diff (to lower the revs at speed) and update the brakes and leave the look and interior as is. Do you think Ash would ever throw the towel in and walk away? 😂
I am playing with the ideas of changing a few bits, different carb and manifold maybe.
I certainly hope not! He's very useful
Credit to Ash he absolutely does not mess about I've worked with so many mechanics that fanny about and diver instead of getting the job done properly.
The man is a blessing 😂
Epic Guys - you've now qualified for the Krypton Factor. I'd love to see the video of you putting the tent together ;-) Glad it has helped you move things forward. Keep safe and remember to keep your distance!
Hahahah! We had a lot going on over that weekend, so sadly we didn't film much of the tent.
You keep safe too!
Garage tents are great! Dad restored a Morris quad in one! Now houses a dodge weapons carrier!
Great video!
Indeed! My bikes happily live in garden tents.
It's very useful. Given us alot more space to work with. Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent all round! Bit of scavenging, plus 'that'll be alroight'. Cracking.
R/e Morry - maybe just a 1/4 turn on the mixture screw?
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's what I'm hoping the case will be.
So, there's space in the shed. For God's sake, keep Lawrie off the internet or there won't be any space soon...
I've found so much stuff!
@@lmm Oh dear, this could be bad...
Stuff's happening . Cool. I wish I could help you with the Moggie, I love a bit of A series fettling. Anyone with some knowledge of SUs should be able to sort out that bit. They're very simple carbs to work on. I'm sure a bit of Googling will get you all the info you need. Poor ol' Viking. Very wobbly in many places. Sounds like me! Stay safe guys, Best wishes all.
We're hoping it's just a bit of tweaking! When I get a moment I'll have a good look at it.
Viking has had a very hard life.
Love the video 😊
Thank you very much!
Your most welcome 😊
First class operation , other tool needed mig welder and a plasma cutter , can't have old vehicles with out those and a supply of metal scraps for patches and repair
Thank you, really could do with a plasma cutter. They're cool.
@@lmm yes , fast and if used correctly won't cause distortion to thin gauge metal among other pluses
We really could use one.
And good times were had by all ;) lol
Pretty much yeah!
Never noticed the Autobot logo on the 106. Nice
Oh it's had that forever now! I like it.
Thanks, landlord...
Very much so
I had one a tent like that, it was superb but upgraded to one that size for 2 cars...however I hadnt yet nailed it down properly the night a big storm blew up and it blew over :-(
I've just ordered more stakes reading this!
I would like to suggest that the use of a cement block as a support is quite risky since the concrete can fail without warning. Timber is the better choice.
The front rams seem to be pretty good, the thing is resting on the bucket. The concrete is just holding the axle up.
I cant see any ropes holding the tent down. make sure you get it roped down well. We dont want it blowing away
Yeah, it needs more work to finalise it.
Hears a fun time bit for you lawie ... Some were in the uk is a screen used Knight Rider K.I.T.T car ( Pontiac trans am ) would be fun to see you take a spin in it :3
Also for Viking 's back arm may I suggest useing a power wash to get the gunk out of the rail it rolls along
Oh I'd love that! That's awesome!
Yes, it needs a good clean.
Great video , but be careful guys concrete blocks are not good to prop up machines and using spanners like that will get you injured. Keep posting, have fun and stay safe
The front rams are pretty good, the digger is actually resting on the bucket, the concrete is just holding up the axle.
@@lmm Never trust hydraulics, older machines in particular . love your channel . I always use good cut off railway sleepers as packing or axle stands . I have seen a guy crushed by a JCB
I love this video! :-)
Have you contacted Hose Advice and Baz at CarElectrics in Bury St Edmunds? Hose Advice will probably be able to sort your pipes out quickly and inexpensively, and Baz at CarElectrics is immensely knowledgeable, and I think would be able to sort Rustons starter out without problem! :-)
Good work guys, and please stay safe! :-)
Thank you very much for the suggestions. We'll look into them!
A waste oil burner would be nice and warm and cheap. Just sneak it in somewhere in case the tree huggers object. Shhhh
That would be quite good. Friend of mine has one in his workshop. Keeps it nice and toasty.
What goes on become you have one working fire engine working and one that you drive and now it sit and rest in peace because I love your work and how you put it it so I hope you do fine time into this thank your John
Glad you're enjoying what we do!
When will you think the crane will be working again and I love to see the second fire engine working as well as the digger work
The crane, haven't a clue - they've got more projects than me!
Redruth too, it'll happen a bit more when Jupiter is sorted.
The digger is at least in hand.
I'm not a dwarf and i'm digging a hole... diggy diggy hole....diggy diggy hole...
MINERS OF THE MINE REJOICE
I have nothing to add 😂
@@lmm did you at least get the reference
I really suggest using better support than a breeze block! They can break suddenly on you, very dangerous.
The weight is actually on the bucket. Front rams are doing a good job and not leaking by. The breeze block is just keeping the axle up.
glad to hear it!
If you want me to sort out the Peugeot...I'm up for it!!
Oh really? Drop me an email at Lawrie@lawriesmechanicalmarvels.com that would be super!
I have never seen a backhoe move sideways like that usually they are centered
Ones I've come across normally slide one way or another.
How is your 48ds?
Humpy rules
Doesn't it just!
Does your boss know you been borrowing Tools and the Van again
He didn't when I left... He was a little confused when I turned up on Monday with it.
Biggest disappointment here is the fact the Ruston 48 is still dead 😭
I know! It upsets me too.
Please do something with Jeb / international
Once Fergie and Humpty are sorted we will.
Laurie I have an idea where this channel needs to go........ so you have train and automobile but no plane. You are also always needing more storage.......
Solution.......... You need to buy a 747 cargo plane, store the vehicles in it and park the plane at a heritage airfield. That will also give you a test track on quiet days....
Problem solved :)
I think we've got more than you could fit into a 747. As fun as it would be 😂
Also how much money do you think we have 😂 😂 😂
... the Renault Fire Engine?
It's a Dodge Renault.
what happen to rusty ruth the dodge fire engine
It's still sitting there. Hopefully we'll get to crack on with it again soon.
What sort of ‘plant support’ calls a sump plug a nut and doesn’t use a breaker bar on a back actor mounts?
That was the only one you couldn't get a breaker bar on it well not a strong enough one to crack that one off
Probably cause I called it a nut first 😂
Sell the 106, its scrap tbf
The 106 was the last thing my Nan gave me before she died. It's my last link to her, and isn't going anywhere.
Just please don't use the MF for any lifting needs. All your seals, bushes and hoses are f**ked..........
The bushes are totally shagged 😂 Ash said he hadn't seen any as bad, ever.
