The best helmet i have ever owned mine is super comfortable , i use ear protection and the Sena audio is very good the helmet is very light and a 3 hour ride compared to other helmets i have zero discomfort love it .
yes, I've got the Sena Impulse lid, which uses the same mic/audio unit (Harman/Kardon) and it has a little sock which goes over the mic to stop wind noise. And I've been told there is zero wind noise even up to 80 mph
I just bought one to replace my GT-Air which was damaged in a crash. I'm having difficulty upgrading the firmware of the SRL-3 because the charging cable that came with it doesn't seem to work as a data cable. I ordered a Sena data cable, so let's see if that fixes the problem.
It was a tricky one tried different padding options but it was always a little bit off had to get it custom done for my 'odd shaped head' according to the guys who did it 😂
@@infinitymoto hi , the struggle is with Sena SC2. Initial pairing achieved , but shortly after I could not “open intercom” with SC2 . However SC2 could communicate to me .
Its the Anthracite Colour and yes I would it mostly down to be being relatively clumsy and it's not noticeable to others it's just one of those things you as the owner notices more.
I had the sena in my Neotech 2... didn't last. Now have a Cardo Packtalk (second helmet kit) installed. It's doable. I thought I was going to pull the trigger on a 3 today but the sun visor hit the tip of my nose... anyone know it it would be possible to sand a couple mm of the center indent/curve away without damaging the sun visor? Not being able to use the visor fully down is a deal breaker for me.
I don't have a sena, but talking and music at the same time works on the Cardo, or in my case the LS2 Cardo 4x, because of dual channel bluetooth. If you have it, then it will work, if not then it will switch back and forth because it can only do one thing at a time. For me the LS2 Advant X (carbon) bluetooth is a superior system overall compared to the Shoei. I would recommend people actually go somewhere, try them on, and use them because there is really no comparison. The quality if the LS2 is just superior. Just on the sound alone, if I take a call on the highway, the person on the other end of the call, which I answer by saying Answer, cannot even tell that I am riding.
The pinlock held out really well, the huge test to see whether they worked was when we went across the North of Spain (South of France) where it was mostly foggy and damp, and no issues at all.
I never had a problem with the Neotec 2 pinlock in rain or cold. It's not a dodgy pinlock like Schuebeth used some years back. Maybe yours wasn't sealed correctly.
There's nearly always a workaround. Depending on what helmet. The Neotec has areas where you can install non-native coms it's just going to be at a slightly different angle or position on the lid. Let me know the set up you're thinking and I'll try find a solution
@@laughwithoutsmiling its really noisy worse than my syncrotec and open face ,the sun visor is crap I still have to wear shades under it and the straps are hopeless one side is two short and keeps coming out of its cover and I’ve found the vents are not as good as my ten year old syncrotec, I wish I had bought the c5 or the neotec 2 which was a great lid , it also sits to high on your head so you have to spend more money on a smaller inner ,the only redeeming feature is the intercom Witch is brilliant
Bought one Neotec3 Satori during my holiday trip in Japan. Found a great shop @ricoland. Well Im too exited till I forgotten to add the bluetooth to this helmet 😅. I will have to find a Cardo in Singapore 😂 I like the most about this Neotec3 is the rachet strap. Easy just like my fidlock on my Klim Kurios Pro! No more double D ring for me 😊
Nice work, thanks. Subbed.
thank youuuuu

for windnoise there is supposed to be a little mouche thing over the mic, isn't there?

Great review, thanks!

Use USB 2 port on a pc when updating firmware.
Excellent review, thank you. You need to watch the movie "My Fair Lady", the rain in Spain....
So that's where it's from, will definitely watch that. Thank you!
i have brand new neotec 3 but very dissaponited cause of poor ventilation, any idea to help ?
Great review thanks. 😃👍
Shoei do different sized padding for the helmet so it can be properly fitted.
We're you not able to do that?
It was a tricky one tried different padding options but it was always a little bit off had to get it custom done for my 'odd shaped head' according to the guys who did it 😂
Good review. How good is the voice control for music ? I mainly want a music system and connection to my GPS Google maps on my iPhone !
If you have any suggestions for an alternative intercom, please chime in. I’m not sold on Sena yet (most because I hear their support sucks).
Sod the intercom. Does the chin strap suck?
I’ve struggled maintaining contact Cardo Edge to Sena . Maybe setup incorrect : it would be helpful if you could show how you paired the two units ?
Sure thing will try and get that out for you! Could I know which Sena unit you were trying to pair with? Sena SRL3?

Great review - what colour is your helmet? Would you choose the same colour again bearing in mind it easily obtained scuff marks??

What helmet was your father wearing that you didn’t hear Any wind noise?
You speak well

WHICH COLOR IS THAT?
ANTHRACITE
58mm? Small head 😮
Slip of the tongue Tom meant cm
I thought the same thing, and I’m in the U.S.!
Is the pinlock still as bad as the neotec 2? Literally cant ride it in the rain without fliiping the visor halfway up.

Same hear. My Neotech 2 is six years old and recently retired, but I never had an issue.
Are all modulars issue with mics and cameras, i want to get insta 360 x3 , would it fit? Is tbe schuberit or hjc better option

Great helmet, but too expensive
I guess if I want one, I'll have to visit Europe.
Would consider this helmet but the comms is sena and they are c**p!
Worst helmet I’ve ever had
Care to explain? I’m on the fence between this and a schuberth c5.
