I put homemade Ranch on a Smash Burger.

  • Someone had to do it. Might as well be a Midwesterner with a hankering for Ranch and for Smash Burgers.
    For the Ranch, dice up some dill, chives, and zest a clove of garlic. Combine these with half a bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch. You can choose how much garlic or how many herbs you want to be in this. The fresh ingredients really amp up the flavor of the Hidden Valley. I also cracked in some black pepper.
    For the burgers, I just make two balls of beef and smash them one at a time. Flip after a minute or so on each side while on a medium high pan. Should hear some aggressive sizzles. I put the cheese on my first patty.
    This burger was the bomb. Very delicious. I served mine on a Brioche bun with only Ranch on top, but you could definitely add other toppings.

    You can just tell that tasted awesome. Love how you pimp up your ranch. Loads of commercial kitchens (Head chefs) do exactly the same thing. Ranch isn’t as popular here in the uk 🇬🇧 as it is in USA 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦 my wife is Canadian so it’s a staple in our house.

      Hey thanks a lot! I could definitely see head chefs doing this, since it saves time by not making every component from scratch. Yeah ranch is very popular around my particular area of the US, and this version was super good. Appreciate the support!

    Yes yes YES! Extra dill and chives is a must for my ranch, also a great alternative to mayo in a burger! Plus, that burger looks really really good, definitely need that American cheese for the smash burger, Yum!

      @@jacobhaseyes-povcooking1219 I don’t know how you can call yourself a Hoosier scrape that cast iron with a metal spatula. My grandma woulda smacked me with that pan and not even worried about the burger.

      @@michaelcraig5295 metal spatulas are safe to use on cast iron. J Kenji Lopez Alt even uses a razor scraper for his smash burgers. Well-seasoned cast iron is the most durable and versatile pan in the business! Sorry grandma, but you can use metal! Just don't cut into the coating
