- Well here it is. The once v6 drift mustang has grown to a v8. I kinda did the same thing myself. I took a break to clear my head and get in a better mental space after a lot of big life changing events occurred in my life. Meanwhile I have been filming the process of LS swapping my Mustang Drift car I built in tribute for my father. I lost my mentor, best friend, anchor to this shitty world. And worst of all, I had to watch her last breath come and go while screaming and praying for paramedics to get there. Now I’m almost 800 miles away from home with no family left. I had some very dark thoughts over it if I’m being completely honest. Hell, I’m not completely over it yet.

Wow…. Dude I’ve been very very depressed also. Divorced after 18 years. Had to quit my job where I made 19.20 an hour. No kids at 47 very alone. Got a new job at Kuntz Power building engines and cylinder heads though. But it’s been very hard. Being alone after having the love of my life leave me for another guy. My girlfriend before was killed in a accident. A year after that my grandmother, dad passed. My best friend was murdered all in same year. Almost died after a hernia surgery. Lost all my blood but two pints. Life has had some bad moments. But I’m still here and trying. Guys it can be done. Just keep trying. You can never give up.

Hey Poe, I haven't watched any videos for nearly 2 years now, just wanna say your looking really good man, wishing you the best. I know how hard is to get through life with depression, all I can say is you just gotta push and fight your way through the fortis of demons, having people by your side is a very powerful weapon when slicing through the chains holding the door shut too the bright side. I know it's hard too speak up and get help but trust me giving it a shot is an amazing thing to do, it might take a bit to realise any effect but if you work through it with the help that's needed over time it helps you work around the depression...it won't go away for quite a while but with help you can find ways to distract you and not let it get too bad, with a few people it goes away over time but sadly with others it's not so easy to overcome.

Good to see you back. My Dad died a year ago last month due to cancer at the young age of 53. I feel you when you say you lost your best friend. The thought of him not being around will never get easier, it will always be hard to accept that he's gone. With time, we can hope that we can accept that fact and move on the way we were supposed to with or without him. I wish you luck and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. TTYL bud

I lost my dad when I was 18 I’m about to be 22 on October 14 this year and I got a lot of questions. He always loved mustangs and his favorite color was blue soo I go one and I go visit his site and just talk to him.
It feels weird but it helps me in some way.
We all gonna get through this pain someday just as long as we keep pushing and not giving up Ik we’re making them proud.

I just lost my dad Feb 11 last month...there's so much I wish I could have said or done at times I want to explode but the moment anger starts I get weak .. one thing I wish I would have done for my dad was get the cooling issue fixed with his 66 Chevelle ... He had vintage air installed like 6months ago but after install car would run hot if you got stuck at a red light or 2. . . He bought a 4core aluminum rad n a stronger electric slim fan for it .. after having the car 15 years and finally got a/c didn't even get to use it.

Absolutely and I know he will always be that guardian voice in his ear telling him to, "tuck n roll", "throttle it" , "no brake punch it" those split second calls he always taught about when teaching to ride. He won't see his dad but he will hear his voice of wisdom in hairy situations on wheels. I know he can because I grew up riding with his dad and I hear his voice in my head when I'm getting stupid on a bike or quad. His was legendary on two or four wheels and especially in the air flying top of the line fighter jets. He pushed the limits because he understood exactly how to become one with the machine. So I've been watching you since the first red new edge mustang! I've been strarting to try and go down the road to having a legit race team and crew, but im only 22yrs old. My first car was a manual 99 new edge v6 mustang(sadly v6), but ive had several e46 325ci bmw. My dream is to actually build a 900hp racecar. my dream car has actually changed from e46 m3 to a 2007 335i with the twin turbos but high horsepower. So I guess what im trying to get at is the dream doesnt work till you do and right now im trying to make bigger better connections with hopefully like minded people. So Im shooting my shot to actually get to meet you and hopefully become a poeboy

I have an 80.000 mile 04 GTO LS6 rotating assembly... Stalk 241 heads still... T56 transmission.... car ways 3800 from the factory... And the GTO goes really well... I have an 02GT 4.6 2 valve 5 speed... Ways about 3200 pounds... The 4.6 has Shorty BBK equal length header's X pipe catless exhaust.. After market elbow and throttle body as well.... No tune...The GTO has long tubes on it... Is straight back exhaust set up... high flow cats... In that 3800 pound gto kills.... my 02GT.... 4.6 2v..5 speed... So I started thinking about pulling the GTO setup out and putting it into the new edge 02GT... And putting a big block in the GTO.... With A TH 400... I wonder what I would need .... minimal....to put the LS1 GTO motor into the 02GT.. This has already answered some questions but I still have more lol.....

What ls did you go with and did the mounts all work or did you end up swaping the k member. Also with the holly means there would be no wireing harnis conversion right? Just curious thinking about doing one myself
This reminds me so much of my mach 1 swapped v6. I got my 98 v6 the same time I got my dog. He passed away during the swap and I went through a very depressing time. When my car started up for the first time I had the same reaction maybe even started crying lol. This Video hit me so hard and I'm glad to hear you are in a better position and your dad is in a better place I'm sorry for your loss and congratulations on a new journey!

how you ls swap a mustang isnt how you ls swap every other car. the same things you did hear will only work for mustangs. not every car

This was interesting! I have an older model (89 fox body) with the fuel injector engine! (EFI 5.0) My original engine finally locked up. My friend had a spare identical engine! We decided to tear it down & rebuild! I kept same injectors but placed E303 & bigger exhaust valves! Kept it simple to not drink too much gas! Mission accomplished! Nice work these guys are doing on this engine 😅😮

This is the 1st video I've seen. 1st off your garage floored me. SOOO much room for activities it kills me. I have one available to me about that size with a 100k property. It's just 500 miles from work and where I live now. Kills me it isn't here. 2nd the video quality is awesome. Your editing and time-lapse speed are awesome. Keeps the video going and never gets dull like some watching 30 min taking out head bolts. When I bought my silveraydo I traded in a pretty nice 98 cobra. Tekskid block and all I didn't know was worth $$$. I have a mint 85 regal now to throw my turbo ls into but always thought that cobra would have put me way ahead. Didn't want to rip up a real cobra so I basically gave it away trading it in for 3500 like a moron but I wanted that loaded truck pretty bad lol Will be cool to have a sorta t type turbo with 1275hp instead of 275 lol

A fuel line just emptied into my eyes but I just had to make this video before washing out my eyes. All because your view is more important than my eyesight. So don't be like me "WEAR SAFETY GLASSES" they will allow you to keep your eyesight when doing stupid $h!+.
The 2000 Corvette Fuel Filter has a built in Regulator that will go from the Stock GM 2lines to the single line. The newer intakes don't have a fuel return system as the pump pressure is regulated by the computer. If you wish to install a newer motor, intake or just the fuel rail into a slightly older GM with a Feed and Return line setup, use the 2000 Corvette fuel filter. It regulates the fuel pressure and will send the rest back to the tank.
Not exactly for this application, but useful info for a ton of LS swaps. Maybe gen3 to gen4 swap. Or whatever. I'm putting a 2006 6.0L in my 2000silverado 1500. I have the dual lines and want to run the newer intake. Thus don't have the vacuum controlled fuel pressure regulator. This is where the corvette filter comes in.
I appreciate you uploading this. Definitely is a project im currently going to do with my son as i have a 2001 ford mustang that is planned to have this same setup.
I know you weren't tightening up those head studs before you dropped the heads on. Hand tight fellers, hand tight. Just a good rule of thumb cause with some engines, if you tighten em a fuzz too much you can bust through the water jacket. Block = scrap. Also, call me an old geezer, but since when do manual transmissions take atf? Wtf?! Pour a buncha atf into an old Muncie and see how long she lasts!
Let me get this straight! You are a car guy or a mechanic or you wouldn’t watch this great video of a young man chasing a dream of making something better than what he had! A 9”ford rear end in a Chevy is an upgrade a ls swap in a new edge GT is an upgrade in power and have owned and built a lot of 2v 4.6! Pulling a 460 out of your 3/4 ton truck and swapping a 12v Cummins is an upgrade so run what is your preference and don’t rip on anybody making shit happen in their shop or driveway!
I bought A set of long tubes for our LS swap new edge from modus performance. Ran into the same issue. Supposedly they were for my car but they literally hit everything. Steering, strut tower, firewall.... Literally no chance of ever coming close to fitting

@PoeBoys i just came across an ls4 with a auto transmission which i was looking for. My buddy's uncle says it came out of an 03 mustang why they took it out i don't know but it has all the mods like brackets and mounts to go into my 02 mustang. From what i was told it is a build engine pushing about 500 hp but considering im not some mechanic or very knowledgeable of swapping things,i was wanting a few pointers on what i might need to do to my car before it goes in. Like i said it came out of a mustang and as far as i know ill be able to drop it into mine. I know nothing else about the engine and trans other then they said the transmission was a powerglide 2 speed.. They want 1500 for it so im not sure if thats a good price or if i should skip out on it.

How did you do the oem wiring? My brake lights don't work, we deleted the abs so idk if that's why, also I'm not getting power from the stock wire to the starter from the key switch, the holley was easy but the oem wiring is killing me, the car is a 2002 gt with anti theft maybe that's it idk

I got a free 2000 Silverado with a V8 from a friend , the truck itself is trash but it still runs great. Is the engine worth saving or is it not the right kind of ls engine?
Doesn't it piss you off on the T56, just like my cobra had a Tremec in it. They put those bell housing to trans bolts in from the front just to be a dick!!! Could have done them like a T5 and still had 6 instead of 4 bolts from the rear. Then you could take the gearbox on and off super easy as a 1 man job. There is NO! reason to bolt them from the inside like that. Might as well go ahead and throw a -6 flex fuel sensor in that return line and make it e85 machine. Tuner is gonna want more pipe on that exhaust too Im sure lol. O2 like a little more pipe around them to not read outside air. Sure its all fixed by now
Bro please protect your investment and put an airfilter on your car before dust drifting at the shop. Also use distilled water mixing 50/50 with full concentrate antifreeze to keep the corrosion down. Besides that. Great video bro I watched it all the way through. (My prayers to you and your family dude).
