@@StraightLineDelivery Any tips? I'm going straight to this from doing flatbed on a 53' trailer. Haven't gotten any real training for hotshot. Just watching videos.
@@sonoftexasOO I released a video yesterday on my channel detailing why new drivers fail. Hot Shot trucking is a multi piece puzzle on a timer. You must coordinate freight during your prime driving hours. If money is not your main goal, it can work. If not, it can be a daunting, next to impossible task. FYI I have local freight in Ohio if you are looking to lease on.
@@sonoftexasOO I'm not sure what you mean by leave it up too long. If you want to send me anything you do not want public, you can email straightlinedelivery@gmail.com
Manufacturers make G-70 18” chain extenders 3/8” diameter with 3” delta rings for flat hooks and pear shaped rings for wire hooks . These work efficiently when tying down at different angles not crushing or pinching the strap webbing . 10/22
The DOT looks at the weight rating of the strap and how much weight it is holding down. FYI They also decrease the capacity of the strap by 50% for each twist in the strap.
Thankyou! New to hotshot. This was a blessing. 🙏 Be safe driver. God bless.
Glad it helps!

Do not hook on to the rub rail, that is not an anchor point

I have used those. They are great. Good tip!!
I forgot about that loop trick, thanks fella
Glad to help!
Don’t do that because your run rail is not an anchor point. Go through the rail to the frame as intended.
The way you tie up the slack is genius
Thank you sir!
ANOTHER good video!
Does DOT care if they are 2 inch or 4 inch straps?

Best way I e ever see to clean up loose ends
Thanks!
