Local and Creative Productions videographer Gary Tresize filmed the 2023 Gold Coast Marathon. Here is some footage of what athletes have to look forward to at the end of the gruelling race, including vomiting, collapsing, being wheeled away in a wheelchair, and receiving a well-deserved massage :)
Naoki Koyama from Japan set a new course record in 2023 of 2.07.40 for the big race.
Sadly, one man lost his life after suffering a fatal heart attack:
