  • Local and Creative Productions videographer Gary Tresize filmed the 2023 Gold Coast Marathon and put together this comprehensive video of the annual event. He captured touching footage of one athlete helping another athlete, as well as the brutal reality of what running a marathon costs athletes as they vomit and collapse in exhaustion at the end of the big race.
    Naoki Koyama from Japan set a new course record of 2.07.40.

    It's an 'easy' marathon, which is probably why people collapse. It's flat and fast with good weather conditions, so people fully send it to score PBs. It also makes it very competitive.
