@@nickt423 i think debut 2024 but release is in 2025! Either way Im holding onto my cash then!! Love my 1500. Think I would love a daily that saves gas, but has the utility factor still
I don't give a damn what people say that AT4X is still badass in it's class the interior is also the best part. Not all midsized trucks were premium like this before back in the day. So personally yes the new canyons are still my favorite midsize trucks drive a 2009 tacoma RN but this truck would definitely be a good replacement for sure.
Looks great but I know of someone who has already taken theirs back and traded it in. It was ok driving until he towed his boat on a trip. Traded it in as soon as he got back.
I am in love with the 2.7l turbo engine I love how it makes the truck whistle even the gmc Sierra elevation has it and it makes me feel like I’m in a real truck this is amazing raiti
Better to buy? We don’t know yet… Both will be above $55k for sure, only time will tell, the one that will last longer without any major issue will be the one to buy.
I ordered a AT4 pretty much all the tech plus, bose, tow package, black tip exhaust. I had money down on it, waited 3 months. It came in the thursday right before labor day weekend according to the dealer site. I called they assured me it wasn't in yet. They sold it over the labor day weekend from under me. They offered me the AT4X that came in exactly like this truck. I just did not like the white interior, I have a kid and if I was to take this into the mud or to soccer practice and got into the white....I know it would not stay white. I got my money back, they couldn't find a replacement for a dealer trade from the AT4 or even a Denali. I found a 2023 Tundra limited down the street, with all the tech and it is a full size for the exact same price with the tonneau cover . I am really enjoying my Tundra. But, if they would of had more interior color choices for the AT4X, who knows maybe I would be driving it instead.
The Canyon is better in every specification than the Tacoma, yet people still buy those Mexican made Japanese trucks that do not support American workers. Probably have the red white and blue letters on the tailgate too! I don't get it! I've got just over 100,000 miles on my Canyon (took me 10 years to do it) and haven't had to make even one unscheduled visit to the dealership. You guys have really drunk the Toyota Kool-Aid!
Boy o boy, I have never seen you laugh so much so hard for so long. Very contagious 😂😂 Now I'm interested in this bad boy. And those jokes are getting funnier Joe, keep it up!! 🎉
Less than 10 years ago I got a top-end GMC Sierra Z71 Texas Edition for 50k (GM used to run 20% off every year-end). Now a Canyon is 60k! Inflation...errr manufacturer "premium pricing" is a hell of a thing.
The next time you look at a Colorado or Canyon could you look at the sun visor to see if it slides when you put it along the side window and covers the top.
Can we go through all the options for plastic vs ummm aluminum, wood, carbon fiber , iron, ok what can they make inside stuff out of? Leather ? Glass? Rubber? Foam? I’m running out of options instead of plastic.
All gmc Canyons come with the high and wide stance. It has 3 inches over the Colorado in wt,lt and z71 models. Only 1 inch of lift over the canyon. But great shocks and locking differentials.
Nice Rig but the interior will get dirty from off road twinkies and for the $$$ Bulbs no paddles and a washer C'mon GM set yourself apart for XXX sake.
Enjoyed your video and you having fun playing with the ‘23 Canyon. But how is it better than the Tacoma? Specs ARE INFERIOR. Our concerns will always be reliability with GM. Spoken as a former diehard, dedicated GM buyer/builder. At $58K +, I fear for GM trying to compete with Toyota in the mid truck size segment.
Agreed. Time has proven every series of tacomas very reliable . I don't want to be paying 7 years down the line for probable engine/transmission problems. (I mean the average loan payoff terms, nowadays). Sticking with my' 11 Tacoma. Only 155000 miles. Barely broken in and smooth and quiet. No leaks, rattles . Never had an American car/truck do that!
The Midsize truck segment is super competitive now. a pretty nice truck, marred only by the low MPG's. very sturdy, which is why it is 5500 lbs. Hard to believe a midsize is now 58k... ouch. Toyota TRD seems more luxurious
Really nice truck; really nauseating price tag. I'd get myself a brand new Audi S-something for that money, or a Colorado ZR2 if I needed the truck for practical purposes. Should've offered a couple extra AT4X-exclusive colorways beyond the other Canyon trims, being that they're shared for the Colorado as well.
Yeah...... that white arm rest is not gonna age well. I mean could be cool to show how much you take the truck of reading with all the dirt stains. So maybe we'll see with time.
It's a shame that they only make that powertrain available. It's not particularly performant or fuel efficient, especially compared to outgoing and competitor options. Don't get me wrong, it's not *bad* - but it feels like another engine option could have really made this special. They nailed literally everything else.
Idk the engine seems underwhelming honestly. If I was to go the 2.7 HO route I’d go Chevy save some money on the Colorado. But at the end of the day I’m just not seeing the benefits of this 2.7 for anyone who plans on hauling a lot.
I'm getting, on a BAD day, 20 mpg combined. Usually 22 mpg from my 2021 V6 Colorado. Explain to me again the advantage of a turbo 4 cylinder on a truck. Replacing or rebuilding turbos every 60,000 miles? Reduced longevity? Sounding like a Sonata? Oh and don't even think about using it as a real truck and have it loaded or tow near capacity because the gas mileage will be cut in half of the already terrible numbers. The old V6 would lose mpg under load but nowhere near as much as a turbo 4 banger which is why this truck gets terrible mileage. It is almost always under load for that size of engine and therefore, unless you have a feathery foot and just cruising at highway speed, the is ZERO advantage to the 4 banger turbo. In a 2010 VW golf, sure. It's not designed for work. But a 4x4 quad cab off road truck??????????? I'm not buying it. Torque be damned. Not everyone wants a $60k TOY. Some of us want usable vehicles, long term. Cheers. Love the looks though.

Im fine with the hard plastic interior on a truck, but for $58k that should be a V6 or a V8.
I could even get on board with a 4 cyl if it doubled the mpg. But 16 mpg is atrocious and worse than my V8 2000 Dodge Dakota
