Have you not been in a new Vehicle for the past 5 years or so?? Most leave the lights on Auto anyway so it’s not a big deal at all with them being on the infotainment center now!!
It’s a seriously annoying feature for anyone that’s ever worked at a secure facility like a military base. The first thing you do when pulling up to show your ID to security is to dim the headlights. Now the driver of a Canyon has to mess with some touch screen for the lights instead of flipping a switch on the stalk or the dash.
As I sometimes have to manually activate my lights to make sure the attached trailer lights are working, I'd much rather look for a dial or stalk than mess around with a touchscreen.
@@svpracer98 to be fair on that last point, I think most modern vehicles automatically check electrical continuity when hooking up the 7-pin. My ‘15 F-150 doesn’t need any input and can tell me if one of my trailer lights is out through the dash screen.
@@svpracer98 I don't care for it. But its literally on the same spot on the screen at all times. After you've used this a couple times its going to take absolutely no one time use.
One of the best "party tricks" that Toyota has is the rear window, the entire thing, will go down, electronically. If you have a surfboard, cargo, and don't want it in the bed, or you want to keep the engine on while the A/C is running, and you are wanting to cool down the truck bed, it will cool the bed down much better with that whole window coming down than a tiny window. Many people nowadays are "minimalists", meaning they are trying to maximize everything in a small space, and at the same time trying to use as little gasoline as possible. No Airstreams. No campers. Just the truck bed. You are not going 4-wheeling with an Airstream or camper unless you drop it off somewhere. Then, you have to waste tons of time on the camper. There are peeps who will drive 6 hours/day driving out and then coming back home to their camper, and those that drive out for 30 days. just in their 4 door truck. I guess we all need 2 different trucks! LOL
Man GM, Ford really hit it out the park with their trucks, that being said their way too expensive, mid-size seems the best way to go unless your heavy hauling or really need more cabin space, cant wait to see what the new Tacoma will bring

Can the new 2023 Canyon be flat towed? I’ve looked in the owners manual in a new one and there was nothing about flat towing. I know the previous generation could be flat towed but I can’t find any information on the 2023’s.
Andre do you sleep 😴? You are everywhere it seems. From Auto Shows, to first drive events to test drives, etc… I actually like that the GMC has the better off road front bumper instead of the air dam like your Trail Boss does. Would I love an AT4 yes, but not at the cost of a mid trim full size truck from a couple years ago.
Just depends on model and trim. I just checked Fords website and a 4wd Powerboost is still in that price range, which is about 10 grand more than the Elevation with 4wd.
Hoping lease deals on this are good, looking to get out of my 2019 Grand Cherokee. I live in the northeast where many city roads are almost off roading, any of these canyons seem like theyd be perfect option. Maybe one day they will reintroduce an suv on the same platform
A Denali with a manual rear slider window? WTH. I had an old Mazda B3000 that had a rear slider window and someone broke into it by pushing in the lever with a screwdriver! Inexcusable in 2024 GM!
I was on board until Andre mentioned the AT4X “starts” at $57k….in other words it’s over $60k. No thanks. I will just roll my own. I priced out an Elevation and it came to $43k reasonably equipped. That gives me at least $17k to add a long travel kit, wheels, and tires with some King reservoir shocks. The only issue would be the lockers. Last I heard ARB was working on at least a rear locker for the previous Colorado. Hopefully that locker will work on the new Colorado/Canyon as well.
Still a hugely expensive rig. If I were serious about wheeling, I'd get something from the 90's like a Tacoma or TJ and modify that so I'm not upset when it smacks into a rock or tree or three.
True. Very few people are going to beat on a $60k truck and actually use it to its full capabilities blasting across the desert where you’re only one wrong turn away from wrecking your truck which insurance won’t cover. But I was just illustrating another way to skin a cat and build a better truck for likely similar money to the AT4X.

How does interior space compare to the outgoing generation?
Which trim has the V6 engine
Do the rear seats fold up? If so, how much floor space is there? I have two dogs that I'd like to load in the cab, not the truck bed like some fools.
You didn't show the payload of the AT4 or Denali. I want to know how more optional equipment impacts the payload.
That AT4X interior reminds me of a mid 90’s civic owned by a 19yr old who just discover Plasti dip.
I wish GMC and Chevy offered more exterior color options on these trucks.
Want to see where they placed the auxilliy switches for the winch and light bar I guess , know body showed that as of yet as far as i know, when you order one it says auxiliary switch panel i believe its only 3 switches , would be nice to see where it is on the atx4 ,overhead , eye level or knee level
From the Colorado forums, they showed a picture of it installed right underneath the trailer brake controller, so just under knee level.
@@ALMX5DP thanks
What is a "lifestyle" vehicle?
Can the new 2023 Canyon be flat towed? I’ve looked in the owners manual in a new one and there was nothing about flat towing. I know the previous generation could be flat towed but I can’t find any information on the 2023’s.
Damn where are those rims as shown on screen 16:30
Andre do you sleep 😴? You are everywhere it seems. From Auto Shows, to first drive events to test drives, etc…
I actually like that the GMC has the better off road front bumper instead of the air dam like your Trail Boss does.
Would I love an AT4 yes, but not at the cost of a mid trim full size truck from a couple years ago.
Andre putting in the work for sure 💪
I sleep a little sometimes... Thank you for the kind words.
Why does the at4x already have heavy amounts of rust??? also the control arm looks horrible from manufacturing
Yeah I noticed that.
The rust gives bad vibes right off the bat. Lower control arms are forged steel on the at4x so they are probably unbreakable
Hopefully, the interior halogen lights get swapped out for led on the production model.
Andre didnt you buy your base xl f150 hybrid crew fx4 for like 51k when it first came out? Now these trucks cost that much
Just depends on model and trim. I just checked Fords website and a 4wd Powerboost is still in that price range, which is about 10 grand more than the Elevation with 4wd.
You're comparing a loaded truck to a base level truck. Also not to mention, post covid crazy pricing
Hoping lease deals on this are good, looking to get out of my 2019 Grand Cherokee. I live in the northeast where many city roads are almost off roading, any of these canyons seem like theyd be perfect option. Maybe one day they will reintroduce an suv on the same platform
The new blazer should have been an SUV based on this platform.
Doesn't MT stand for Mud Terrain? Not maximum traction
A Denali with a manual rear slider window? WTH. I had an old Mazda B3000 that had a rear slider window and someone broke into it by pushing in the lever with a screwdriver! Inexcusable in 2024 GM!
For the extra price take. I think the ZR2 is a better value than the AT4x. However I agree on lower models maybe go GMC
Are the shocks the same on the AT4x??
@@ALMX5DP I think I would just buy a side by side or ATV. I have all that already and don't ride them enough couldn't imagine buying a new truck just to take offroad. I have had a couple old turd trucks I did that with years ago. A tree fell on the roof of the one old Ranger and I took out the sawzall and chopped it off. Who cares lol. Little truck got around pretty good for what it was.
Heads up, it looks like from GMC spec site that Elevation only has 1 speed transfer case (no 4 lo).
@@holdenc3082 they cover it if you have a loan on it and it was truly accidental.
