This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
Wow! Your work is simply spectacular! You can see the mastery acquired through years of experience. Seeing your work is mesmerizing. The beauty of the wood grain when discovered with the final finish is glamorous. Congratulations on this beautiful table! Greetings from Argentina, South America!

My very first attempt to learn a trade was woodworking, but it drove me down because I ended up in mass production. I just didnt have the skills and patience. Its great to see someone who loves the trade and has mastered it. What I hated doing I could watch for hours on end :)
A great and beautiful work! Thanks for the great laughs, you got a great sence of humour! Yep - using shelack on wood before applying resin, makes a world of difference when it comes to clean up. Wheter it is a resin table (I use shelack, let it dry completely, and a good tape on the edges before puring. That saves a ton of work when you dont have a plainer, just doing it a hobby basis!), or instead of using glue for table legs etc. Ads a great bond for instance to wood legs or a corner insert.
@@KeithJohnsonCustomWoodworking Great work, and at that, a beautiful work. Thanks, I learned the hard way that using shelack is a lot easier to get resin out of details 😂

Hi Keith. I’ve been following you on Instagram for ages and never even thought about UA-cam. Glad I have now. Beautiful work and nice to see the stages and follow along. All the best from the UK.
I’ve come into some slabs of cedar that are about the same size as what you were working with here. The use of the c-channel to keep it flat is a great idea. I will give that a go. Great build!
First impressions...If you care about such things. Saw the thumbnail and thought this would be one of those snobby Maloof style craftsman, but I was pleasantly surprised with the humor and solid workmanship.
The internal debate of "should I follow another woodworker?" was raging in my head, and then I saw Jerry and Lola. Shop cats AND humor while I watch beautiful furniture being made? SOLD!

Thanks Greg! I was sad to see that one leave the shop!
lovely result, really like this kind of solid wood table, minimalist.. what is the function of C steel under the table?
Thank you!! The c-channel helps keep the table top flat and hopefully prevent it from warping/cupping through seasonal humidity and moisture changes.
The medallion is a great idea. A contrasting wood for the medallion might look cool too. Thanks for the video ! Well done!
