Notre Dame DE Isaiah Foskey
Junior 6’5 265 lbs
At 6’5 260 lbs, Notre Dame DE Isaiah Foskey is a freakish athletic pass rusher. He gave opposing offensive lineman fits all season & became Notre Dame’s all-time leader in sacks. Foskey could’ve declared & heard his name called last year’s draft, but decided to return for his Senior year, which could end up being a great decision. Alabama LB Will Anderson & Texas Tech DE Tyree Wilson are the clear consensus top 2 overall pass rushers, but Isaiah Foskey should be right there with them.

I really like his hand work. He doesn't have elite bend around the edge, but seems to make up for it with good speed, power and excellent handwork.
Absolutely destroyed a couple TEs that tried to block him and you can see his straight line acceleration and speed on the punt blocks.
I'm more excited about Foskey than I am about Bresee.

Foskey has a violent outside rush using those giant hands. He will need to develop a inside swim move for consistency in the NFL. I cannot believe this 6'5" 265 lbs DE ran a 4.58 40 at the combine. That is insane. Cant wait to see him in the Black & Gold

problem is, almost all of these clips are vs scrubs. He's struggled when he's gone up against OT's who actually have a chance of being drafted.
He was going against a lot of non draftable tackles in this video.. I'll give it to him, he's relentless for sure. But it seems he's extremely limited when it comes to pass rush moves. You can get away with it in college, but NFL Tackles eat that shit up all game
Idk if you have watched the nfl there is a lot of bad OT in the nfl like barely should be on a practice squad. What’s funny is everyone is so infatuated with kancey he’s faced nobodies and doesn’t look impressive from the tape I’ve seen
None of those plays were through the defender. He beat every tackle in these clips to the outside with speed only. Didn’t see not 1 move in these clips. But I hope you’re right and I’m wrong!!!

@@thewanderer2020 - I have to agree. I don't see a lot of good technique in this video. He pretty much beat all of these guys based on his speed. Which is great. But that's not going to work in the NFL. Hopefully he learns a lot from daddy Cam though. I'm still pumped all the same

@@kingfish4242 I realized that he’s playing mostly 3-4 OLB but like you said he has played some snaps at 4-3 DE. More importantly he has the size for a 4-3 DE so I believe he’ll adjust to it in the Saints defense with no problem.

Tell me why no production guys like Lukas Van Ness are considered mid 1st round locks and Foskey is being mocked an entire round lower? They have very similar testing, but Foskey is a much more complete player right now and upside is just as high. Both guys are pretty linear, power rushers without a lot of bend. Myles Murphy is another guy in the same mold.
I think Foskey goes round 1 and "surprises" all the analysts.
Foskey and Breese are now teammates, My Saints filled 2 big holes with our two first picks

I’m taking nothing away from Foskey, he looks like a great athlete. He seems 1 dimensional from these highlights. Didn’t see any bull rush, swim move, spin move, just beating the slower man outside. And some of these ot’s weren’t putting any effort to stop him, so I’m on the fence about this pick. It’s got Marcus Davenport written all over it. Hope I’m wrong!!!

I’ve watched a ton of highlights from other DE and came away asking why ppl love them when I see this kids tape I see hassan reddick even if he’s a poor man’s version I’d take that 8-10 sacks a year sign me up. That tomahawk chop will translate to the nfl
