Reason he is unique - He reads snap and burst out fast, D-Line didnt even move and he's one step out - He knows how to get out of contact and tackle outside run. - He's FAST for an EDGE. with tall and long arms 5:33 He tackled tackler and then tackled RB behind. what a monster
He's had some awful games too - check the Stanford game - he was lost... yes, he showed he's lightning at times, but he's also been manhandled and lost on many plays that aren't run right at him. Hutchinson at #1 overall makes sense; he's probably the safest pick for #1 and has an incredibly high floor and good leadership ability. But the fact that KT is being rumored to drop, even out of the top 10, for "character concerns" is ridiculous. Teams that pass on him will likely regret it, as he has all the physical tools and drive, despite what people say, to be great. Happy with this pick if someone can get through to him to improve his work ethic and drive to finish plays where he doesn’t win a matchup immediately. He has so much raw talent. If he’s properly coached up and is patient with his own development, he could be unstoppable. His speed and snap count anticipation are very impressive.
KT reminds me of Stingley Jr. after his freshman year; they got BORED! Wouldn’t be surprised if Thibs goes #1, but if not I hope the Detroit Lions get him at 2.
He reminds me of Josh Allen from the Jags which puts him near the very top of the league as far as his first step and ability to rip past offensive tackles. I see some comps to Mules Garrett too which I think is a decent comp but KT has less bend and isn't quite as big. He should be a really good player as long as he stays focused and healthy.
He's more of von Miller type just a bit bigger and more explosive .. only difference von Miller technique was almost flawless for some his age coming out of college

Kayvon Thibodeaux is a pass rusher who is also great in run defense. This is the one of the main reasons why Michael Strahan is in the hall of fame and Simeon Rice is not. Strahan got to the QB and got his hands dirty in the running game. Simeon Rice just rushed the passer and was nowhere near the run defender that Strahan was.
@@trustoryj6476 Rice was a very good pass rusher off the edge. He's hall of fame worthy of that. He was average in the run game when you compare him to his peers though. That is what I believe is currently keeping him out of the hall. Sapp can criticize Rice over Strahan as much as he wants. The fact remains that Strahan was a better all around defensive lineman.
His read and react time is mind blowing, but he takes too many plays off, especially in games where Oregon is kicking ass. Might not be a big deal in college, but in the pro's it will get u in the doghouse.
Without a doubt the best player in the draft as he can play with his hand in the ground and 4 to 9 technique with speed but also bull-rushing power. However, rumor is he didn't interview well seemingly having some kind of Kyler Murray/Ben Simmons personality funk and there are some fairly serious questions about his motor. But be that as it may if he slips past 10 it will be a great draft for anyone who selects him.

He has the power to split B gap, shrug off TE chip blocks, beat double teams, and still move like some of the best OLB in space. Plus, you know what position he is going to be playing unlike Cross who probable will move to G, Hamilton who doesn't really fit any position to a tee. Also, guys like Stingley who peaked too soon in his development then got injured and Gardner who played against relatively weak competition in the American football conference.

To me he plays to upright and in the nfl everyone is strong and fast. He will need to refine he technique
