Go Gamecocks, we barely lost to Bama, and destroyed two teams that beat them. I think we should jump them with this latest ranked win, but I doubt the committee will do it. Still proud of what this team has done after a rocky start.
Ridiculous you only drop Ohio st a few spots after a horrific loss where everyone is considering blowing up that program. Every other team drops 6 spots when they lose to an unranked opponent. B1G glazer and bias.
SC in ahead of Bama is ridiculous! Bama has the head to head and a win over UGA. Not saying Bama deserves to get in, but they damn sure deserve to be ahead of SC.
I am so, so sick of people mentioning the 1 point win like that had anything to do with Lil Bro State that they were in that position. They were gifted 7 points at the beginning of the game by the refs somehow calling an interception a catch. The holder messed up the snap on an extra point, leading to a panicked 2 point attempt, which led to trying another to make up for it. Then Traeshon Holden lost his damn mind and took us out of position to score a touchdown. Thats a 16 point difference all told. Lil Bro State was lucky to be in position to win that game and they choked it because they didn't realize that. That wasn't a close loss to hang your hat on, and they're even more banged up on the offensive line than in that game.
I don’t think beating USC is something that should move the needle AT ALL. They’re an absolute train wreck and I don’t think their coach is going to be around much longer.
Huh?! If Oregon wins. The get the bye and #1 seed. South Carolina, if they won their first round game, would have to travel across the country to play in Eugene. Autzen is one of the toughest environments in college football. That's a lot for SC to overcome.
What happens if Georgia just gets schlacked by Texas next week? Is it a guarantee that they’re still in? I know the committee is supposed to not punish teams for losing in the championship game, but some of these teams must be dreading playing this extra game.
They said they wouldn’t punish the loser of a conference championship game. I honestly don’t believe a word they say but, Georgia has the name, the money and the brand. They will be in regardless
Just in case anyone was still laboring under the delusion that expanding the playoff was going to somehow magically inspire the committee to be fair rather than show ratings bias, I call into evidence Ohio State at #5 after losing to unranked Michigan at home. Spoiler alert, I’m a Michigan fan and wish our offense were competent; we’re not. Ohio State should be at #11 or 12.
They are already punished not having a bye because of a no conference championship. You do realize that automatically puts them at #5 or #6 with the at large.
Everybody's saying it so my comment is redundant but still has to be said. Putting Ohio State at #5, and over Georgia and Tennessee, is absurd and demonstrates a possibly incurable bias. That's even worse than the committee's bias, hopefully, but I wouldn't put it past those Big 10 homers. I do congratulate you on putting in SC over Bama.
This is my top 15: 1.Oregon 2.Texas 3.Penn State 4.Notre Dame 5.Georgia 6.Ohio State 7.Tennessee 8.SMU 9.Indiana 10.Boise State 11.Alabama 12.Miami 13.Ole Miss 14. Carolina 15.Arizona State Yall can agree or disagree idgaf. OSU is in the perfect spot and are still my pick for the natty. Day's gonna be desperate now and they have the best roster in America. Carolina is the underdog an and everyone wants them in over big bad bama. Unfortunately 27-25 are the only numbers than matter. Yes i think right now they are better than bama. But when it came down to it on the field bama won and thats how the committee will see it. This will likely be the cfp rankings with the only possible changes being osu at 7 and tenessee at 6 (unlikely) or miami at 14 and carolina at 12, however usc is out either way.

Bama has a better resume. More ranked wins, the head to head win, and a win over GA. This is pure cope lol Only way you'd have an argument is if SC had beat bama head to head. But they didn't.
@ nope not more ranked wins check again the resume is better for SC and it’s a 2 point fluke win at home you can factor in at least 3 points of swing for an SEC home game which means SC wins that game on a neutral site. Plus go back and look a few weeks ago they put Bama 5 spots over TN and we won the head to head by a touchdown with the same number of ranked wins and we solidly beat 2 teams that beat yall
@another factor besides that nail biter head to head win are common opponents which SC best Vandy and OK solidly and y’all lost to both. And how exactly is it “cope” it’s not even my team bro 😂 TN is in by a mile we don’t need to cope with nothing 🤡
OSU should be #6, ahead of Tennessee and below Georgia. The Buckeyes schedule is better than TN, it has 2 top5 wins (TN has zero) and better Ls (TN lost to Georgia by 14). Georgia has the #1 SOS so they should be ahead.
Ohio state is trash Miami lost South Carolina beat Clemson Georgia beat Clemson I’m just saying we play better teams you can’t eat cupcakes all year and expect a spot baby girl.
@@ryanangel902 I agree SC is very hot right now but being hot doesn't erase 3 losses. you can't put a 3 loss SEC team ahead of 2 loss teams. Just can't.
@JohnMayernich you can. Would you put in an undefeated NAIA school? Of course not because they aren't playing the same competition. Same thing here. If you've got a team top 20 SOS with 3 losses vs a 2 loss team with 80th SOS, you have no argument for the 80th SOS team unless they literally go undefeated. Because if they played the same 20th SOS schedule, they'd have a lot more than 2 losses.
Does anyone know why Penn State gets in the conference championship instead of Indiana? It seems like they have identical resumes. I’m just curious how that was decided.
S Carolina at #10 is just WRONG!!!!!!!! Sorry J.D. I usually agree with you, but head to head matters. Bama beat them. You spoke about their close losses, but looks at Bama's wins. You're just dead wrong on this one.
Ohio still has as good of a chance as anyone to win the natty. Im a ND fan. I'd rather run into an sec team than ohio State this year. Its just been weird this year. Every team has weird losses. I genuinely belive the best sec team wont even make the playoff.(south Carolina)
tOSU as the "most talented roster in college football"? Do you really look at the production from ALL players at ALL positions if they've seen the field this year. That's a real indictment IMO.
ASU was 16th last week, now 12th for some unknown reason after blowing out a terrible team. How terrible? That team has 8 losses and only 4 wins. The 4 wins were against teams with losing records and one mid FCS team. (Mind you, ASU has a loss to a team that has 8 losses, and one loss to a team with 4 losses, and barely beat an FCS team, and many close wins over teams with losing records.). Then you have South Carolina, [SEC] that was 15th last week, one spot ahead of ASU. They defeat the 12th ranked team this week and get jumped by ASU. OK…but the #6 team loses to a top 25 Syracuse team, and they fall all the way down to right below ASU, and SC, cause they don’t want to make it look as obvious. * *Note that the SEC already has a bye spot, they can’t have 2. This is why they’re letting ASU jump SC, even though it’s 100% wrong. Same reason Miami moved down below them, of course. ***This is not for sure that BSU misses out on the bye, but i think they’re doing everything possible to make it a pathway to happen. BSU would have to have a close win, (which they likely would, if they do win. UNLV is underrated with only losing to Syracuse because of the refs, and BSU...and the teams know each other well, it will likely be close.). and if ASU happens to win by a couple scores.... PS….this will be first time ASU and Iowa St play, in their conf championship game. Iowa is ranked 16th… but has losses to an 8 loss team and 4 loss team, and no ranked wins. And that’s not all…of their 12 games played only 3 had winning D1 records and 2 were FCS teams…..and one of the FCS teams they beat 21-3, has a 5-7 record. (All against FCS teams besides Iowa State game.).
Half of B10 do not have a winning record, but have 3 of top 4 in CFP. Why should SEC stay with CFP when they refuse to use SOS or SOR!! SEC Championship playoff--Tons of NIL $$ Bonus no committee!

The committee needs to go back and watch the South Carolina vs. LSU game before Tuesday. South Carolina should be 10-2 and everyone knows it.
true, and UT woulda beaten Ark without some bad flags so they should watch that one also... in fact I image most teams have a game like that
I’m a TN fan but it’s easy to see SC should be in over the committee’s sweetheart Bama. SC has a much better resume and barely lost to Bama and they were so ready to ignore the TN head to head victory over Bama to the tune of 5 ranking spots a few weeks ago!! It’s insane the Bama Bias is just insane everyone is so sick of this crap
SC would be dangerous
@@Grgfkn3076bama bias is ridiculous.
@@jeffreybonner6895 it’s crazy last year they changed the criteria rules for them and this year they get in with 3 losses 2 of which to unranked opps that SC beat and an average SOS for the sec it’s insane
How does Miami drop from 6 to out of 12. Then they should have never been put at 6 if you would drop them more than any other team all year
Well I think from third to 12 is further than that and that's what happened to Georgia
I still don't think IN has proven they are a Top 12 team. They only played 1 ranked team this year and lost.
The ducks no. 1 is hard to account for, when you have teams like, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson.
In what way? The fact they're undefeated. The fact they beat Lil Bro State? This is just hilariously foolish.
OSU has a great roster but they have to be doubting themselves and their coaches. That’s poison.
Go Gamecocks, we barely lost to Bama, and destroyed two teams that beat them. I think we should jump them with this latest ranked win, but I doubt the committee will do it. Still proud of what this team has done after a rocky start.
SMU at #8 can’t miss the playoffs. The committee said they will NOT take away for a conference championship game loss.
The last thing Orwgon want to do is win Big Ten title and have to see South Carolina in playoffs
Huh?! If Oregon wins. The get the bye and #1 seed. South Carolina, if they won their first round game, would have to travel across the country to play in Eugene. Autzen is one of the toughest environments in college football. That's a lot for SC to overcome.
@@cheaton75The game wouldn't be in Eugene. But yeah the idea that they'd be something to worry about is laughable.
😂 Okay buddy. You keep thinking that.
@kyletucker3811 good point! The game would be in Pasadena for the Rose bowl. Still across country.
This would be Crystal Clear in the bcs Texas as sec champ vs Oregon for whichever bowl was hosting top 2 teams
Just think, after next week we would have just a bunch of crappy bowl games until the semi-finals if we didn't have the 12 team playoffs.
Notre Dame at 3 with no conference championship to play in is why I clicked off
They are already punished not having a bye because of a no conference championship. You do realize that automatically puts them at #5 or #6 with the at large.
With that bad loss to Michigan, the two loss Buckeyes should drop below the Vols. We won all of our home games.
😂😂😂 scared to play in the cold, SEC cant handle big 10 weather . SOFT
Lets go way out of our way to barely mention the best team in college football - Oregon!
Penn State ahead of Notre Dame is ridiculous Penn State took overtime to beat USC
How do you think will Howard and best roster belong in the same sentence?
If the default is always going to be “they are the more talented than ____”, then what is the purpose in even playing the games?
This is my top 15:
1.Oregon
2.Texas
3.Penn State
4.Notre Dame
5.Georgia
6.Ohio State
7.Tennessee
8.SMU
9.Indiana
10.Boise State
11.Alabama
12.Miami
13.Ole Miss
14. Carolina
15.Arizona State
Yall can agree or disagree idgaf.
Penn state, IU, ND, Miami, SMU, and Boise are all jokes. Just weak ass schedules. Be like bama playing mercer and northern alabama all year lol
@@evskii.That is just hilariously foolish.
Dude, Lil Bro State isn't winning anything but a first round exit.
switch miami with arizona state and you got it
@@kyletucker3811 literally close to the same level of competition lol
I'm a TN fan but it's easy to see SC should be in over the committee's sweetheart Bama. SC has a much better resume and barely lost to Bama and they were so ready to ignore the TN head to head victory over Bama to the tune of 5 ranking spots a few weeks ago!! It's insane the Bama Bias is just insane everyone is so sick of this crap except Bama fans. At what point does the committee stop pandering to the giant Bama fanbase snd do the right thing this has to stop
Bama has a better resume. More ranked wins, the head to head win, and a win over GA. This is pure cope lol
Only way you'd have an argument is if SC had beat bama head to head.
@Grgfkn3076 the gold medal for mental gymnastics goes to you lol
@@evskii. yea common sense sounds crazy to entitled Bama fans I know
OSU should be #6, ahead of Tennessee and below Georgia. The Buckeyes schedule is better than TN, it has 2 top5 wins (TN has zero) and better Ls (TN lost to Georgia by 14). Georgia has the #1 SOS so they should be ahead.
Nothing screams a top 12 team like 3 losses lol. The SEC bias is hilarious.
Ohio state is trash Miami lost South Carolina beat Clemson Georgia beat Clemson I’m just saying we play better teams you can’t eat cupcakes all year and expect a spot baby girl.
SEC is 13-6 this year against non-SEC opponents. 8-3 ACC, 3-1 against the Big 10 and 2-2 against the Big 12. Who is overrated?
ND beat the doors off of SC, clearly you didn’t watch the game
They controlled the game though.
But yes, prob an overstatement
@ we were driving for the tying touchdown with like 5 minutes left. But whatever, they won we lost.
Does anyone know why Penn State gets in the conference championship instead of Indiana? It seems like they have identical resumes. I’m just curious how that was decided.
It goes by overall record of your conference opponents. Penn State played teams with better records in the B1G.
S Carolina at #10 is just WRONG!!!!!!!! Sorry J.D. I usually agree with you, but head to head matters. Bama beat them. You spoke about their close losses, but looks at Bama's wins. You're just dead wrong on this one.
Completely nixing the ACC is crazy
He has SMU at 9
Ariz St passing BSU? Not happening. They weren't even ranked 2 weeks ago plus lost to a team with not a winning record (Cincy). Not happening
kind of funny here, the likes are space at 18 seconds apart as I am
watching this short. ????
Notre Dame should be at 5 after beating USC in a shootout
Ohio still has as good of a chance as anyone to win the natty. Im a ND fan. I'd rather run into an sec team than ohio State this year. Its just been weird this year. Every team has weird losses. I genuinely belive the best sec team wont even make the playoff.(south Carolina)
10 sacks 16 tfl's .. nuff said.. this is oregons year
tOSU as the "most talented roster in college football"? Do you really look at the production from ALL players at ALL positions if they've seen the field this year. That's a real indictment IMO.
Cmon JD you’re always spot on. But you’re wayyyyyyy off on OSU
Ohio state at 5? Who is trying to give them a easy road to the semifinals
This is terrible. Ohio state at 5 and notre dame at 3 is laughable.
Big 10 homers running the committee apparently. Zero justification for OSU to get a home game after yesterday other than blatant favoritism.
Ohio has an Ohio problem. The other problem is when they lose, you take it with a grain of salt. Wow.
Half of B10 do not have a winning record, but have 3 of top 4 in CFP. Why should SEC stay with CFP when they refuse to use SOS or SOR!! SEC Championship playoff--Tons of NIL $$ Bonus no committee!
Nah y’all slept on ASU. I didn’t I had BYU or ASU to win the Big12
Aren't you tired of picking OSU every year vs Michigan?
OSU won’t finish 5 in the final CFP rankings. Likely somewhere in between #6-9 if I had to guess.
Momentum is part of the criteria
No way O S should be ranked 5 !
Ohio state just lost to Michigan at home
Bama has the most ranked when’s out of anyone you can’t deny that. Yea they have lost but when there on they can’t beat any team on there schedule
crazy that miami is not in here
Why would they be? They have 2 bad losses and no quality wins.
@ ?? You don’t watch football???
Who did they beat to deserve a spot
@@dylanvilla8228do you? They have no quality wins and they have no defense. Most of their wins they got lucky to barely scrape by the end
It would take a miracle for Miami to get the 12 seed. Than again you never know. Just think SEC will get a 3 loss team in front of us.
