@@dantewitty3790 this is the reason why HEXACO and the Big Five are better than MBTI - they oppose categorising people by types and instead look at personality as continuous traits with so much variability between people.
The ocean is literally my soul. I feel as if I am soulbound with water. This might explain why… Edit: this has nothing to do with the ocean but was still interesting
Conscientiousness: I'm a little of both. Very organized, but don't see the point of goals. I tend to procrastinate, too. I don't see the point of planning for the future. I'm trying to focus on BEING and less on DOING because I know that that's where I'll find my answers.
To be honest...I'm confused. XD Everything is high up with me, except the neuroticism. But I more consider myself as an introvert. Lately I think I'm more an ambivert, because I have traits of an introvert, but I love to spend time with people I love, like family or friends. I get a enegergy boost with them. But in this video I was a bit confused, because the traits of an extrovert asign to me. XD The title immedeately catched my eye, because I love the ocean. Especially the more north oriented like from scottland and denmark. I was blown away that it really is a paychological term. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
On the self assessment I took, with the input of family and friends, I have 48 out of 100 in openness, 78 out of 100 in conscientiousness, 34 out of 100 in extroversion, 38 out of 100 in agreeableness, and 89 out of 100 in neuroticism. So... I guess that tells a lot about my general personality

0:34 O: Openness. Signs of high openness: You prefer and embrace abstract concepts and thinking. You enjoy creative endeavors and innovation. You enjoy new activities and hobbies. Signs of low openness: You're a concrete thinker that prefers solid facts over more freeform ideas. You prefer tradition and keeping things the same. You're rigid in routine and practices. 1:30 C: Conscientiousness. Signs of high conscientiousness: You're schedule-oriented and goal-focused. You have an eye for detail and take care of the small stuff. You plan for your future and are ready to take on challenges. Signs of low conscientiousness. You're disorganized and cluttered. You're careless and impulsive. You leave things until the last minute. 2:23 E: Extroversion. Signs of high extroversion: You enjoy being the center of attention. You're people-oriented in almost every situation. You speak before thinking. Signs of low extroversion: You prefer solitude. You're drained by socialization. And you're careful with words and think before speaking. 3:13 A: Agreeableness. Signs of high agreeableness: You enjoy creating connections with others. You're empathetic and compassionate to other people's needs. You contribute to the community. Signs of low agreeableness: You're callous towards others. You're bitter and antisocial. You manipulate others to meet your own needs. 4:01 N: Neuroticism. Signs of high neuroticism: You're moody and emotional. You have low tolerance to stress. You're always on high alert. Signs of low neuroticism: You're calm and collected, even under stress. You're easygoing. You're mentally and emotionally stable.
Here's how I come out . . . Openness - Medium at best, but working on it. Conscientiousness - High, but with some flaws (AD/HD causes organization and executive-function problems, but I don't WANT to be like that) Extraversion - NO. Agreeableness - Medium, maybe higher: trying to work on it. Neuroticism - WOW!!!😖
I am about 99.99% sure that, as of right now, I am an Ambivert. Some introvert things, I agree with completely. For others, I don't think I've ever really related to at all. It's the exact same thing for extrovert things. I don't like being the center of attention, and depending on the environment I'm in I could be talkative or relatively quiet (sometimes even in environments I'm talkative in, if I feel that people don't care about what I'm saying and can clearly tell they aren't listening, I may get quieter for a bit). I love going out to school, seeing my friends, and honestly wish I could spend more time with my friends outside of school. However, I also love being alone at the right times. I wouldn't say people drain me, but if I'm at school and around people I don't like, it'll drain my tolerance. While I can be talkative, I'm relatively reserved and get extremely uncomfortable when I have to answer more personal questions (like religion, culture, etc.) rather than just stuff like test/quiz questions. If it's not an either kinda vague or school related question, I get very evasive and try to avoid it. Sometimes my Advanced Studies teacher (who is also my soccer coach and was my track coach last year) asks me religion and culture questions, and I force myself to answer for the sake of it being from an adult. If it's from another student, you most likely won't get a direct answer from me. Unrelated to my original ramble, but about openness, does anyone else often switch between concrete and abstract ideas? I think about facts, of course, we can't live without them, but I also often think about the future, the past, what could be, and what could've been.
I'm on mobile which makes it a bit harder to get the spelling so I'll just use the first letter of each O - Very high C - Not really high or low E - Pretty low A - A little bit high N - Very high

Neuroticism is hard to know. Sometimes if think that this type of quiz don't work how it could with me bcoz' I feel like I am narcissist or something like this, but it's not this that describe if I am or not. My "humble" is more about doubt myself
Any other extroverted HSP’s who relate to being extremely extroverted and hating being Al one while also hating peoples sometimes with no middle ground? Either I’m currently in a large social situation or I’m coming off the sensory imput high from a social situation. No in between. But o mean I think it’s fair that after a social situation I need downtime considering this is what I get from a social situation of just 5 people other than myself Extra loud sounds that are easily overwhelming Lots of sights that are new and need processing more so then most people SO MANY GOD DAMN SMELLS NOBODY NOTICES The complex texture of each surface i wind up touching The flavor of each thing I eat that’s new. (HSP’s have higher levels of sensitivity to input from your 5 senses as well as emotional) After I’ve absorbed sudden shock of entering a new building and experiencing all the new input from that I start feeling whatever feeling is appropriate for the situation *very strongly* then I look over at my friends and the empathy kicks in and I start feeling all five emotions of theirs. So basically I’m feeling all input from my 5 senses on steroids and the emotions of 6 different people. So yes I’m fucking tired after a social event and can be mistaken as introverted in those moments.
Not sure what to think though people tend drive me crazy in good/ bad thing because I care to see things done but at same time it might come off rude or something but I’m just me guess where I’m getting at applied for 5 jobs roughly I’m happy now we’ll see one interview in 2 days wish me luck😃

Open, Conscientious, Reserved, Agreeable, calm
Also to note... the OCEAN Traits are TRULY called The Big 5, although overshadowed by the MBTI Test.
I have a problem with people aways thinking im lying.
Damn near everyone.
I am one of the most honest people you will meet.
I have looked on UA-cam to try to understand, but I’m not finding anything to help.
I do have PTSD, childhood trauma, and anxiety. Probably ADHD as well.
Is there any info I could research about what I do that makes people think I am a lier?
I am very self aware in many aspects, but not so much on how I come off to others.
I am 45 male veteran.
This has been a lifelong issue for me.
Thank you.
Thank you for your services people shouldn’t lie about serving your country nothing wrong with that but people think I’m liar or dead so it’s nothing really new to me I can relate online PTSD if there is such a thing, not sure if there isn’t there should be of rumors false accusations to this very day is more depressing then traumatic but it can haunt my past because no one I know would want to sound like that at all through their 20s to early 30s is most tragic thing about it so overall I can relate in so many ways thank you you’re true inspiration to me and everyone I’m sure people think I’m bad person way I speak or talk I’m really fast speaker and rather get out scenarios asap staying in something that I could be doing something else is most important to me alone time really helps me but trying to get out of that zone because you can imagine not knowing what work like for 30 years first time worker all because my parents wouldn’t allow me to work is saddest part and frustrating at same time
Maybe body language? Or maybe it’s the way you say or type things?
@@LocalGooberGoobs I don’t have much body language, the military beat that out of me. Flat and grey rock most of the time.
I generally just stand still.
I stand more upright than most, that usually gets translated into being told I think I’m better than everyone, or think I’m a tough guy or something when neither is the case.
But it goes back to even before the military.
@asasial1977 Sure, there is a too obvious reason why people think you are lying, they catch you in lies. Boom!
Someone liked my comment here nonetheless people of military no joke to laugh at
I like this video
I prefer this framework over MBTI 🥰 great to see you make a video on this!
I prefer HEXACO over OCEAN. Honesty is so huge in life.
Based. You're not chocolate, don't let them put you in a boxes
@@dantewitty3790 this is the reason why HEXACO and the Big Five are better than MBTI - they oppose categorising people by types and instead look at personality as continuous traits with so much variability between people.
Thank you! I now know myself better ^v^
I hope everyone reading this has a great day and a great tomorrow. Also great Omori reference at 4:10
the animation is incredible
The ocean is literally my soul. I feel as if I am soulbound with water. This might explain why…
Edit: this has nothing to do with the ocean but was still interesting
High openness
High agreeableness
Low to Mid extroversion
Mid Neurocistic
Mid to high conscience
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
thumbnail: "ocean, what's your personality?"
me, whose name is ocean: *good question*
lol
On the self assessment I took, with the input of family and friends, I have 48 out of 100 in openness, 78 out of 100 in conscientiousness, 34 out of 100 in extroversion, 38 out of 100 in agreeableness, and 89 out of 100 in neuroticism. So... I guess that tells a lot about my general personality
I'm always somewhere in between. I like to balanced things out.
can you do a video on like either weather and how it effects mood like rain snd thunderstorms and stuff, or space and psychology or something, (space as in like the moon and stuff)
idk if there is something with space (if there is that would be so cool) *but i know there is something going on with weather cause for me specifically I get super happy on days with lots of storms; or even super foggy days, but whenever there’s no storm and it’s all sunny and boring i get really depressed. idk if anyone else is like that cause I know a lot of people like sunny days for some reason, but idk sunny days suck they’re so boring and bland
Thanks for the great content!💖

I definitely need someone who is conscientious. Absolutely a deal breaker. The more you know!
Thank you, a great video highlighting what we all exude and what we gravitate towards, as in dominant trait.
Here's how I come out . . .
Openness - Medium at best, but working on it.
Conscientiousness - High, but with some flaws (AD/HD causes organization and executive-function problems, but I don't WANT to be like that)
Extraversion - NO.
I'm an INTJ with moderate openness , high conscientiousness , low extraversion , low - moderate agreeableness , moderate neuroticisim
I just said no to conscientiousness only .. I guess I’m doing good .. I need to work more on myself more than anything else ❤️
I'm on mobile which makes it a bit harder to get the spelling so I'll just use the first letter of each
O - Very high
C - Not really high or low
E - Pretty low
A - A little bit high
N - Very high
Was So excited to see the Video always Makes My Day
I'm addicted to your videos and your voice
You sound so sweet❤️❤️🤗😍😍
Okay, the amount of these where I basically went "Uh, I'm not really either." Good grief...
Low O, High C, High E, High A, High N.
No matter what your answer is, your beautiful! And know I love you all!
Here before 24 hours!!😭♥️
Thank you
i rank high in openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness and neuroticism. i rank low in extroversion :))
Definitely high in openness, low in conscientiousness introverted, disagreeable, and neurotic, not the best combo but I live lol
I have medium neuroticism
Tomorrow is a mystery
Yesterday is history

I am giving my hair dresser a free video :)
Edit: Psych2go, I went to Roses video who animated the last one and commented on her video. She is really sweet :)
Some facts about my "openess" contradict each other. I'm surprised that scientists recommend this over MBTI.
I think I'm low in all of these traits :< except the last one- can you do a video on how to improve please? but thanks for making this video♡ I'll try my best to be better!
Isn't improvement going to be different for different personalities? But I'd say, start by not doing bad things. Do you know good from bad?
@@m2pozad yea I know..I'm just trying to be more positive in life but it's just hard for me to be that since I'll always find something negative to think about everything even though it's not on purpose. it's just that little voice in my head that keeps making every negative thought worse. but thanks for asking♡ I feel more appreciated because of you. so, thanks for making my day a little better i guess ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ
@@BASS.GUlTAR Those negative thoughts are called ANTs, automatic negative thoughts. They are very common. So there is plenty of info about dealing with them. Many of us want the best for each other. You belong in the club, sweetie. Happy days will be yours!
@@m2pozad thank you so much for sharing this with mee!! you don't know how much it means for me to know that I'm not alone! you made my day, really. even though I'm tearing up rn, thank you so much! I really mean it. really hope you have a wonderful day!!

I HATE BEING NEUROTIC. I WISH I COULD CHABGE THAT ABOUT MYSELF SO BADLY.
I took this test during a psych class and my openness was soo high haha
I guess the best way people would describe me is I'm a middle type of person. I'm not attractive, but not ugly, not moral but far from immoral, I'm not muscular, but I'm not weak, not smart but not uneducated, etc. etc.
Traits? Ocean? Personalities? Okey, i got what you talking about.
I feel like i am indeed is a storm, that probably approaching, possibly provoking, so-called black clouds what could be in isolation.
Wow this is great... I miss my baseline self but I'm more empathetic now. Unfortunately I'm more disorganized and yet more neurotic... They don't match but that's the shipwreck that I'm in
4:13
Something plush 👀
I'm low in everything but agreeable and nueroticism
I think I'm NACOE according to your illustration.
Both sides of "c" fit me really well, and neither side of "a" fit for me.
But o mean I think it’s fair that after a social situation I need downtime considering this is what I get from a social situation of just 5 people other than myself
Extra loud sounds that are easily overwhelming
Lots of sights that are new and need processing more so then most people
SO MANY GOD DAMN SMELLS NOBODY NOTICES
The complex texture of each surface i wind up touching
The flavor of each thing I eat that’s new.
(HSP’s have higher levels of sensitivity to input from your 5 senses as well as emotional)
After I’ve absorbed sudden shock of entering a new building and experiencing all the new input from that I start feeling whatever feeling is appropriate for the situation *very strongly* then I look over at my friends and the empathy kicks in and I start feeling all five emotions of theirs. So basically I’m feeling all input from my 5 senses on steroids and the emotions of 6 different people.
So yes I’m fucking tired after a social event and can be mistaken as introverted in those moments.
I'm O - high, C - low, E - low, A - high, N - somewhere in the middle
High on neuroticism
yes YES YYYEESS
sometime like this sometimes like that.. but music always in my mind.. anyword sound like music...
I fit into O,E,A
Not sure what to think though people tend drive me crazy in good/ bad thing because I care to see things done but at same time it might come off rude or something but I’m just me guess where I’m getting at applied for 5 jobs roughly I’m happy now we’ll see one interview in 2 days wish me luck😃
I have high neuroticism + i’m introverted and easily annoyed/offended. How can I fix this? 🥺
15 second gang yessir
I think I'm high O, mid to high C, low E, mid A, high N 😁
What if you relate to bothe sides of the spectrums
i saw this video when it came out and i was researching typology
What's the name of the song in the beginning?
I should have watched this before I paid for the test, literally gave m the same information HAHA
We have physical education and physchology all together in one subject and also of biomechanics ,so we Indians have adequate knowledge about all these 3 😅
