- Hello fellow Vikings! Happy Val-Halloween to you all! Today we are back in Valheim with a Halloween special - A short film I've put together called the Forbidden Tomb! A lot of work went into the creation of this one so hope you enjoy and let me know your thoughts on this style of content!

Wow! Taking it to the next level! The creativity of the Valheim community never ceases to amaze me. Most of the talk about this game’s potential miss one of the most important factors that will lead to this being a very popular game and that is the incredibly talented community that has embraced the development of this game. The best days of Valheim are still to come!
I totally agree with you here! The devs not only have created a beautiful game to play, but they have created such a strong sandbox to foster creativity, and experiment! I'm having a blast stretching the limits of the game in different ways! Best days are definitely still ahead!

Love the use of the stone chests as coffins, that detail in particular struck me. Super cool little short, Smitty! Amazing set-dressing as always 👌and I nearly lost a mouthful of coffee to the credits 🤣Truly the finishing touch. Looking forward to more of these morsels in the future! Thanks for sharing ☺

This is fantastic. The set, the camera operation, the musical score, the character animations... loved every bit of it! Bit of a cliffhanger at the end
Thanks CJ! Yes, so many different elements go into a project like this, and it can be very challenging, so I'm stoke that you liked it! Cliffhanger for sure. Gotta leave the audience wanting more ;) haha
It makes me happy to know that the Coffee Coordinator still gets some credit for the production of a film. Though, it disappoints me that it isn't the first nor last name that comes up in the credits. I doubt any of it would be possible without coffee.
On a less serious note, I loved the setting and the potential story. It was spooky, capturing the spirit of Halloween. This might be the closest I will come to enjoying Halloween today, so thank you. Someday, I'd like to see people actively enjoy Halloween like we used to when we were kids. I haven't been trick or treating, nor have I received any trick or treaters for many years now... I just bummed myself out.

That's the most important role in the whole production! If not for coffee, I think this world would grind to a halt (no pun intended).

Oh man, this is amazing. Hands down this is the most atmospheric and enjoyable Valheim fan video I have yet seen. I am down with Corona since yesterday, and when im not sleeping or groaning with maladies, im catching up. Although too drousy for building just now, I just doze off mid build and then have to undo the damage of sleep building. A few weeks back something crazy happened to me in Valheim. I must have fallen asleep on the spacebar because when I woke up I was sleep flying and Earth was nowhere to be seen. I mean literally nowhere. Not even Yggdrasil. It took me 2 Game days and 14 game hours to fall back to Earth. But back to your build, I love everything about your presentation, even if you cheated using the ghost mode, but that is irrelevant. I really loved the scope of it and your attention to detail, but also how the undead play dead to lure you into a trap. The end credits were another win, but my fave moment was when your hero grabs the axe and just leaves all that gold behind. A true warrior needs no gold, its just dead weight.

Haha yes! I thought it was a fun way to show off a build. I'll do another video that shows the set in more detail since I think that the build alone deserves some love, but cracks me up that so many people caught the Coffee Coordinator joke! Just slipped that one in there and didn't know if people would notice but cracks me up that yall did! Appreciate the support!

I can see why you haven’t posted in awhile because 1) construction of the set, then 2) production of said set, 3) making sure the lighting was right for the viewers, which by the way I love your use of silhouettes on the gallows. I couldn’t tell how you made it, but with the silhouette it had the perfect effect. Then lastly the editing stage with adding music, sound effects, and rolling credits. It was so well made I feel like you should go into producing movies. 😃
I...... absolutely love this. Holy crap.... And you did it all YOURSELF!? I can't even... I knew at the absolute least you had to have been the designer of the sets but good LORD putting this together must've been a crazy production.
I was actually unsettled by the visuals and music. This is no big budget project but it definitely made me feel things during, and that's an achievement. The combat choreography was very well done, particularly with the wraith fight. The swampland provided the perfect backdrop for this whole thing.
I'm no filmmaker, or anything of the like, but you've clearly got talent at least, well done. Also, thanks for the laugh with the credits, if there's a secret to duplicating yourself, let me know.

Camera work is a bit of a process... but in my case I just needed two computers, really fast hands, and a LOT of patience 😂
