I have a really crazy theory as to where the water goes for each of these holes. These holes are probably deep enough to reach magma within the planets crust. This will make the water evaporate and possibly escape into cave systems within the crust. I theorize that this vapor builds and builds till it explodes elsewhere. Sound familiar? I believe these holes are the reason the knockup streams happen.
I’ve been thinking about knock up streams too as a phenomenon. The mother frame could also be heating up the molecules to a state of both solid and gas therefore explaining the existence of sky islands
that's an interesting theory, It's possible that the water from these holes reaches the magma within the planet's crust, causing evaporation and potentially creating knockup streams. It's an intriguing connection to consider.
The heating up of molecules in the mother frame could potentially explain the existence of sky islands and the phenomenon of knockup streams. It's fascinating to think about the possible connections between these elements.@@troillandford7679
i dont think ODA pushing the narrative of forcing audience to like luffy like you said. The scene with makino and her baby simply indicate that luffy face are so frequent on the paper that make even her baby familiar with the face.
I don't think makino's kid liking luffy was one of those "look luffy is likable for anyone" scene cuz it's his village and makino herself cares about luffy a lot so she prolly told stories about him to her kid all the time atleast I would like to think it that way cuz that's very cute lol , and if it was just a random kid from a random island I would agree with you tbh and those "look luffy is likable" are very rare compared to some other similar shows but that's prolly bc the type of character luffy is and how perfect he works for the story like op I don't view him as a character anymore, he is like op itself to me now so idk I can't rank with my fav characters either lol
I agree with the episode. The Hiyori and Orochi scene just doesn't land and messes up the momentum. I found myself almost skipping the scene as i know even during all that, Orochi still survived (I think he got killed later if iirc). So the emotional impact is just screwed, like other times during the arc like Kinimon for instance. Generally the episode reminds me of why i don't follow the anime at all. Too much stalling, but the fight itself was fun to watch!
Oda literally destroyed the supposed gear 5th event. With the hiyori and orochi moment. Like we already don’t like the nigga. Now why drag it literally through the mud as slow as possible.
I personally think the Mother Flame isn't a weapon but a fuel source for Uranus. It would explain why it was a test but also is similar to Enies Lobby. Also explains why the WG haven't been doing this the whole story. Plus imagine York smuggling an island sized weapon off of egghead without 1 of the Satellites or Vegapunk finding out. I also think Enies Lobby is the grave of the Ancient Kingdom, what better way to assert dominance than building your island of justice over your enemies. Imu has probably most likely had Uranus since they overthrew the Ancient Kingdom.

Interestingly, I had the exact opposite opinion about where the Hiyori and Orochi scene was placed in the manga. As hyped as the moment was, I honestly wasn't a fan of Oda changing Luffy's devil fruit power from rubber to mythical god upon its initial reveal. Seeing Hiyori finally get revenge on the man who had caused her so much grief throughout her adulthood was gratifying to read. However, I do understand that the transition from Gear 5 to Hiyori's revenge may disrupt people's immersion when watching it animated.
I can imagine that the earthquake that went off was due to Blackbeard getting angry finding out that Koby has escaped and that his island has been decimated by Garp.
Aside from the long redundancies, the animation opted many funny scenes in the Manga. Those who watched Kaido got grabbed were also affected by the looney tune effects of Nika.

I know they hyped the episode like crazy, but this was always just gonna be a taste of what G5 looks like animated, and I was very pleased with that. Aside from the scene in which he bounced Kaido's blast breath back at him, everything else looked clean and fun. I just hope they keep that consistent all throughout the rest of the series. The rest of the issues had to do more with the direction of the episode, and are just typical Toei crap. As long as Megumi Ishitani doesn't direct the episode, you know that's gonna happen no matter how hyped it was.
Yeah, the animated G5 episode was definitely a taste of what's to come, and it had some great moments like bouncing Kaido's blast breath. Hopefully, they can maintain that consistency throughout the rest of the series. And yeah, sometimes the direction of the episode can affect the overall quality, but let's hope for the best.

I was impressed Toei actually managed to capture the goofiness of Gear 5. The complaint with the Hiyori/Orochi segment was valid although that is kinda of out of Toei's hands since the manga chapter was structured that way. But they could have perhaps combined this episode and the next episode into a 1hr special to fit in more action in one viewing and offset the slower pace at the beginning. I actually like Hiyori, but Orochi really should have been dealt with at most 20 episodes ago. With the chapter, I thought it was cool this is actually the first time the Straw Hats (aside from Robin) are hearing the 5 Elder Stars.

Wild theory about the cover story: Sanji would ask out Nami as soon as the stars were out, so the fact that Nami wrote to him that she already saw him is foreshadowing her special weather/astrology observation Haki that maybe have something to do with lineage. also the fact that Oda changed the reader's request that much is suspicious
Sawyer, I really appreciate how you’re able to breakdown and critique the story of One Piece. Been following you and the series for years. Keep it up 👍🏽
Another possible hint of this theory is in the song: Ocean Guide - commonly sung as requiem for Marines that have died in battle. It's from Film Z but still has the very ominous start: "The ocean sees the beginning of the world, and the ocean knows the end of the world."
My thoughts on why the see level rose, as a physicist, is that the weapon breached the mantle and evaporated the magma causing a decrease in the amount of magma inside the planet. With that, the crust would collapse a little and the sea would rise. That´s just how I would explain what happened based on the assumption that the weapon is that powerful. Also, is Kaido dead? Is Kaido Luffy´s official first kill? Him and Big Mom got put inside magma like a person gets stuck under the ice after falling in. You know what I mean? Unless they were that huge volcanic eruption that happened after the fight.
my theory on the water level increase is simple water replacement. I did some math and assuming it is correct (and I think it is) then---using earth's surface area, not accounting for land masses like the very big red line and assuming the depth of fishman island at 10km as the seafloor average---a hole would have to have a diameter of 254.8km to increase the water level by 1 meter. Which sounds like a lot of you could just about get Cyprus in there, so it's not impossible. And since landmasses like the red line exist, the hole would have to be smaller. So yeah, I think they just punched a hole into the ocean and the water needed to go *somewhere*
I agree with your point of the episode. Also felt that the goofy faces that luffy did went to fast like if they were extended more it would have been better. I do have a question on how Ennies Lobby is there after the mother flame. Like did a fomer user of the magma fruit create a land there? Or was it that the weapon used in the past wasn’t as strong?
Pluton. Is. NOT. down. there. Oda has left way more than enouigh hints that MOMONOSUKE IS PLUTON. There are certain things that don't need to be said so if you can see in the panel that the weapon used in Lulusia is the same as Enies Lobby because of the aftermath then it should also be pretty obvious that Momo is Pluton because of all the hints: 1) the only most important hint, he can COMMAND A GIANT ANCIENT ANIMAL JUST LIKE SHIRAHOSHI 2) both Wano and Fishmen Island are allies of the Ancient Kingdom 3) both are ROYALTY 4) both countries have that oddly identitical DRAGON statue It's been hinted that the Ancient Kingdom was atop the Red Line so anything below that is the "UNDERworld" and that was the obvious theme of the ancient "weapons" (not weapons, because they are living BEINGS who can command giant ancient creatures) which is SEA, LAND, SKY 1) Poseidon god of the SEA, and the wielder of the POWER TO COMMAND is a mermaid 2) Pluton god of the LAND BELOW aka the UNDERWORLD aka the LAND, and the wielder is a normal human 3) Uranus god of the SKY will be a WINGED human, likely a Lunarian who were also said to live atop the Red Line The ancient AVATARS with the power to command are SEPARATE from the technology used back then that was replicated by Vegapunk, the avatars commanding creatures are akin to using magic.
I think the significance of the Gorosei keeping Bonney alive is actually about her DF. The Gorosei may have achieved immortality, but they are stuck in their older, weaker forms. Perhaps their interest in Bonney, is the fact her DF could bring them back to their physical prime?
The last part of the episode bad incredible animation. But i hated how fast it was going. Impact frames are good n all. But i want to be able to experience it without needing to stop every frame. So many great frame just passes by. Let the animation breathe.
I wonder how the rise in sea level and whatnot will impact fishman island? If Oda applies the actual laws of refraction, changing the height but maintaining the same angle of incidence (since it's the same medium) would mean that the light form the Eve Tree might not hit fishman island directly anymore This could give them further incentive to want to relocate
Steven Paul did get confirmation that it is motherflame. He said on the one piece podcast he confirmed that he had multiple sources including the man himself.
1071 was incredibly mid, jarring, and sloppy. Hoping edit: 1072 is high quality. As it stands, Naruto 4TCM v Pain is currently out-toon-forcing and out pacing Luffy G5 v Kaido.
11:40 i saw a "theory" that the fact Catherina Dvon and a Gorosei are going to Egghead if she manages to shapeshift into him thats gonna be a huuuuge bonus for Blackbeard Catherina could pretty much order anything while being a Gorosei to benefit Blackbeard or herself
The reveal and showcase of gear 5 was awesome. Though there was some ugly cgi, repeated clips, flashback scenes from an episode prior were very noticeable, pacing was a bit weird but the actual gear 5 stuff deserves much much praise.
I really like that theory about Nami. I agree it’s always seemed as though she would end up being far more important overall by the finale, and with these current events (no pun intended) it seems more and more likely. Very interesting to see what how that will unravel.

I respect how you make your videos for your audience and not the algorithm. It embodies the motto of the website. "Broadcast yourself ".
You always surprise us with good theories!
Good analyses mister sawyer the onepiece geographie its awesome and worth studied.
Another possible hint of this theory is in the song: Ocean Guide - commonly sung as requiem for Marines that have died in battle. It's from Film Z but still has the very ominous start:
"The ocean sees the beginning of the world, and the ocean knows the end of the world."
love ur videos sawyer!!
great vid sawyer
My thoughts on why the see level rose, as a physicist, is that the weapon breached the mantle and evaporated the magma causing a decrease in the amount of magma inside the planet. With that, the crust would collapse a little and the sea would rise. That´s just how I would explain what happened based on the assumption that the weapon is that powerful. Also, is Kaido dead? Is Kaido Luffy´s official first kill? Him and Big Mom got put inside magma like a person gets stuck under the ice after falling in. You know what I mean? Unless they were that huge volcanic eruption that happened after the fight.
This is why I’m subscribed to you. You’re a realist, just say it how it is. I agree with your gear 5 take
my theory on the water level increase is simple water replacement.
Half of the funny face shots were relegated to smear frames haha, just one frame of animation.
So you telling me Kobe got more of a Haki Bloom than Kid? The Kid fans punching the air right now 😂
I remember when this G would make Naruto manga videos. The good ol days
Couldn’t agree more about the hiyori scene I was thinking the same thing while watching it so I skipped it
Pluton. Is. NOT. down. there.
Oda has left way more than enouigh hints that MOMONOSUKE IS PLUTON.
There are certain things that don't need to be said so if you can see in the panel that the weapon used in Lulusia is the same as Enies Lobby because of the aftermath then it should also be pretty obvious that Momo is Pluton because of all the hints:
1) the only most important hint, he can COMMAND A GIANT ANCIENT ANIMAL JUST LIKE SHIRAHOSHI
2) both Wano and Fishmen Island are allies of the Ancient Kingdom
3) both are ROYALTY
4) both countries have that oddly identitical DRAGON statue
It's been hinted that the Ancient Kingdom was atop the Red Line so anything below that is the "UNDERworld" and that was the obvious theme of the ancient "weapons" (not weapons, because they are living BEINGS who can command giant ancient creatures) which is SEA, LAND, SKY
1) Poseidon god of the SEA, and the wielder of the POWER TO COMMAND is a mermaid
2) Pluton god of the LAND BELOW aka the UNDERWORLD aka the LAND, and the wielder is a normal human
3) Uranus god of the SKY will be a WINGED human, likely a Lunarian who were also said to live atop the Red Line
The ancient AVATARS with the power to command are SEPARATE from the technology used back then that was replicated by Vegapunk, the avatars commanding creatures are akin to using magic.
At first I wasn't gonna read all of this but this is actually a good ass theory 👏 interesting.
1st comment, you da goat man. my experience in the community is genuinely better because of you.
I really love how they remixed a bit of the Overtaken song for parts of the Drums of liberation. So good.
I think the significance of the Gorosei keeping Bonney alive is actually about her DF. The Gorosei may have achieved immortality, but they are stuck in their older, weaker forms. Perhaps their interest in Bonney, is the fact her DF could bring them back to their physical prime?
Early upload from the regular 2pm!
Enies lobby being where gods valley used to be makes a lot of sense. Of course the valley of the gods would always be sunny
Excellent video!
The last part of the episode bad incredible animation. But i hated how fast it was going. Impact frames are good n all. But i want to be able to experience it without needing to stop every frame. So many great frame just passes by. Let the animation breathe.
The whole thing felt like they were trying to do a high quality art piece but ended up as a sloppy mess of blurry action.
Kinda reminded me of one of the Black Clover fights in a way
I wonder how the rise in sea level and whatnot will impact fishman island? If Oda applies the actual laws of refraction, changing the height but maintaining the same angle of incidence (since it's the same medium) would mean that the light form the Eve Tree might not hit fishman island directly anymore
This could give them further incentive to want to relocate
You said some crazy shit in this video with no change of expression brother.
Steven Paul did get confirmation that it is motherflame. He said on the one piece podcast he confirmed that he had multiple sources including the man himself.
You've already mentioned this but it's looking likely that God's Valley may have sat where Enies Lobby currently stands.
Shit pacing , top tier gear 5 animation
6:55 is eerily similar to the one piece logo
Saturn was out here eating a celestial sausage 😂 gorosei privilegdes
Sigue con tus resenas. Eres el mejor. Me gusta la manera que conetas todo
14:20 - 14:23 lmo How did you even catch that XDDD 14:50 Yooo, that's literally Luffy
Who let him cook , what am i hearing blud is a baby and ur annoyed at him liking the person that they raised in their hometown like what
1071 was incredibly mid, jarring, and sloppy. Hoping edit: 1072 is high quality. As it stands, Naruto 4TCM v Pain is currently out-toon-forcing and out pacing Luffy G5 v Kaido.
This was the sloppiest reveal I think they could of possibly done for gear 5.
@@Jamhatproductions Seemed like they were going for max edginess.
11:40 i saw a "theory" that the fact Catherina Dvon and a Gorosei are going to Egghead if she manages to shapeshift into him thats gonna be a huuuuge bonus for Blackbeard
Catherina could pretty much order anything while being a Gorosei to benefit Blackbeard or herself
I think Caribou called the BB Pirates. BB is the man he’ll tell about the ancient weapons.
Finally someone has the balls to say the truth about 13:36 toward it was bad
Pegasus would've been proud of Luffy's Gear 5th.
that OldBoy used his Gomu power to permanently elongate Zunesha's legs to keep his friend from perishing in the last great flood seems so Oda.
Thank you Sawyer for being real about the gear 5 episode . The dickriding was to real
Robin being absent.
And York getting a "I want to live moment!"
Typical Oda things...
I'm just sad that One Piece isn't that big in the UK hopefully the live action can change things
One piece is lame.
The reveal and showcase of gear 5 was awesome. Though there was some ugly cgi, repeated clips, flashback scenes from an episode prior were very noticeable, pacing was a bit weird but the actual gear 5 stuff deserves much much praise.
my favorite youtuber lets goooo
A baby laughing at luffy is your criticism? seriously?
Basically trying to make York into Oppenheimer.
I really like that theory about Nami. I agree it’s always seemed as though she would end up being far more important overall by the finale, and with these current events (no pun intended) it seems more and more likely. Very interesting to see what how that will unravel.
