I remember the following from my personal experience: 1. cold sores from the braces rubbing 2. not drinking anything with color for 2 years 3. No chewing gum 4. For some reason, I went from 3 minutes of teeth brushing to 15 minutes 5. Taking the food that get stucks in the braces out with a toothpick 6. Having to get my braces adjusted every 2 weeks or every month (can't remember) 7. Having to cut apples into slices 8. After braces get taken out, it's at least 1 year of retainers. 9. Helpful tip: If your doctor tells you to pick a color, then you can actually say "Same color as braces", if you're more into colors matching. 10. They later make you wear braces that connect 2 of the top braces with 2 of the bottom braces, if you have an overbite.

@@elyssaberry9148 I’ve watched so many videos of braces being put on and some tips, it seems simple, but the hard part is making sure you do everything you need to do with the rubber bands, flossing, not eating foods you’re not supposed to eat and just trying your best. Also I would recommend taking pain medication an hour or so before because I’ve heard there might be soreness and uncomfortableness after putting them on, but it differs from person to person but I don’t see the harm in taking it just in case
Depends on treatment plan, age etc. Not that unusual to put them only on the top 6 for now just depends on what your treatment plan is. If you ever aren't sure ask your Orthodontist and I'm sure there's a good explanation!

For the record, braces don't cause cold sores. Cold sores are from a herpes simplex virus. 🦠 Look it up!

Yes it's best because if you don't then you may have severe issues later such as mobile teeth
