This is the first time I've ever seen gordon so calm and the way he stopped her hand was SO SMOOOTH.
I have so much respect for this man, for many reasons..and now this. He could have justifiably become very angry..but he picks his battles. No use trying to reason with someone who is over tired and unreasonable.
Never argue with a Karen. And the justification would have come in using his black belt skills to anchor her to the floor when she tried to physically attack him. He had every right. But did he use it? No. He had ample right but he took the low road and won just as eaily. By staying calm and protecting yourself the way he did, he not only proved that he can protect himself, but that he also doesn't want to have to hurt you. He is doing this for YOUR own good. he is really calm he makes alot of shows with his family or people in other jobs and he is really polite. its just a act to be this over the top
shaun beare actually he's strict. very strict and depending on the show he adapts his expectations. for Masterchef he stays relatively calm, i dont recall seeing him get pissed off unless they were working in his restaurant. in Kitchen Nightmares he expects quality and cleanliness which are both very important. in Hells Kitchen he expects as much as he does in his restaurants which is also understandable. his anger does bring a slice of drama to the picture but it is genuine. as for in person Gordon is a fantastic person. ive been fortunate to have a quick chat with him in the past and he's just a regular guy. i even looked up a documentary on him and his history is quite impressive, his father wasnt really a part of his life. or not one he wanted him to be a part of at least. but the relationship with his mom is perfect.

Just a little thing - notice in his vids that whenever he feels a confrontation may escalate he keeps his hands/arms up near his chin/jaw. It doesn't look confrontational (instead almost interested in what the other person is saying) but lets him react to/reach a shot faster and also be prepared to cross that line mentally rather than be surprised. Imagine trying to react to and stop that sudden slap with your hands down by your waist. Gordon knows how to handle himself.
