As someone who works in customer service I have seen and met a lot of people like the ones in this video and I can honestly say those people make my life a living hell. I have had people scream in my face for following simple and basic health and safety instructions, accusing me of things like discrimination, racism and sexism, threaten me, whistling at me to get my attention, tried to get me fired with false information, etc. So seeing Gordon Ramsay and Jean-Philippe talk to customers like that is just so satisfying and i wish I could talk to customers like that.
guarantee you if those ppl work in customer service/hospitality they’ll think twice before acting the way they do
IDK the exact specifics, but the place I work at doesn't allow takeaway. Not in the sense that the customer can't take their meal away, but that the kitchen can't legally give them a container to put the food in because they haven't paid for the license
They chose to do this for two reasons: One; on a really busy day, waiters don't have to run around handing out containers when they could be seeing to customers who actually need help. Two; the pub is based in a small town where nobody actually has anything as takeaway, so it's just wasted money
I have had customers (always tourists) get *very* annoyed with me because I refuse to give them a container for their food
I remember explaining to a dad why I couldn't give him one, and he just stated "I don't want to make this an argument", cutting me off. It was all the more weird because he was sitting with his son who looked like he was slowly dying inside, staring at his plate

Fun fact: these people aren't paying customers, they are people invited by the production crew or random applicants selected by the network. They are _paid_ to eat there, they are served free but limited alcohol along with unlimited cheese and bread, and they are always told that their orders might be mediocre if it was served at all.
They know what they're getting into and seeing Ramsay dunking on them for being too demanding is satisfying to see lmao.

This series is absolutely INSANE 😂 I’ve never Watched a whole episode but this is mental- I have so much respect for people who work in this industry. And I think Gordon’s training style is incredibly helpful. It’s not extreme. These are gonna be the best chefs in the world after this

I normally agree but feel like 6:24 was uncalled for. I'd be a lot less patient than that lady was if I was waiting upwards of 3 hours. "New restaurant/busy night" isn't really an excuse for 3 hours unless that wait time is made clear up front.
