Exo-MCD

The Fraunhofer IVV has developed an intelligent, modular cleaning robot for the automated cleaning of hygiene-critical plants and production environments. The »Mobile Cleaning Device« (MCD) is designed in two application-specific versions. The self-driven »Exo-MCD« enables cleaning of external surfaces. The cleaning process is performed by an innovative Adaptive Jet Cleaner (AJC), which rotates around three axes. Featuring highly integrated contamination sensor technology, the »MCD« detects the degree of contamination fully automatically and allows the cleaning process to be documented.
