I was the Bf 109K-4 teammate in that match. I should’ve not committed to the F8F and got myself in the middle of the chase.
Yeah you should have kept your alt advantage while I was dragging them. It was a tough position though.
The yak 3u, yay. i wanted a skilled pilot to fly this thing from the moment it came out and after Defyn said it sucked i thought it would be the last video on the thing. but then it got a BR decrease and a beautiful pilot gave the beautiful thing a try, thank you adam!!

I love your videos tho i wonder what software shows you you thurst and hp of your engine? :D i would like to use it to inspect how damage of certain engines apears to efect its efitiency of produsing power to keep aircraft in the sky after taking a hit :D.

How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

What is MER?
Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when maneuvering. Different aircraft will lose speed at different rates depending on their power, weight, wing, geometry, etc. I did some tests and made a video explaining it if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/wLA8cspXbbE/v-deo.html

I’ve noticed that you set convergence at 500m. I personally set it up at max range, up to 800m, that way i can shoot from a longer distance when guns are located in the n'ose like many russian planes. You should try this way 😃.
Please do a comparative guide for choosing one of a 8.0 Meteors, probably a Sea one too as it just 0.3 aside (I've chosen G41G middle one for a low cost mods and better turn).
Well obviously the Mk.8 is the best one statistically... the Sea Meteor is not worth comparing to those because it has the rip speed of a mk.3 which is subpar even compared to super props.
I'll consider it! Meteors aren't very popular though.

Hey Adam! Is it possible to do a vid on the me 262 a1 schwalbe? Because I'm starting to like the 30 mils, but I have a hard time getting used to aiming them when I am on someone's six or strafing an enemy plane that is 400-700m away.

Reticle height depends on your convergence, I think. They go below the reticle because of bullet drop mostly.

Your skills behind the stick are among the best. Your trigger discipline is also better than most. You know exactly how to get your guns on target, and when to pull the trigger. Now all you gotta do is work on making the rounds that leave your plane hit the enemy's lmao.

@@AdamTheEnginerd Your ability to get your guns on target and keep theirs off is unmatched, but once you get the guns on target you're supposed to point them at the other plane! 😂 I've learned a lot from you man. There are planes I couldn't fly because they don't fit the meta but now I can make them work. I realize sometimes when I'm in a dogfight that I pull maneuvers I got off you. I've always been a decent pilot, better than all my friends, but watching you has really elevated me to the next level after 3 thousand hours in this awful game lol. I found you recently and you've made a big difference. Keep it up man! I hope to be a rare useful teammate for you some day in the skies haha.

Haha it depends on the types of missions it would to do. Escort, fighter sweep, interception, ground attack. That's why aircraft differ from one another.

Le Yak-3 reste plus beau je trouve :P et j'aime pas trop les prototypes modélisés dans ce genre de jeux car un avions pouvaient sembler bon en vol test et ne dévoiler ses défauts qu'en vrai combat ou après un certains temps sur le champs de bataille. Mais il est vrai que ces problèmes ne sont pas forcément le genre de choses qui sont modélisées dans des jeux comme WT donc pourquoi pas.

8:16 "Nice 3v1." Ouais les joueurs en RB avions sont souvent incroyables. Dès que tu pars en dogfight/combat à basse vitesse ils te suivent instinctivement et font pareil. Faut croire qu'ils ont tous appris à jouer sur des Spitfires :V Pas un seul pour travailler ses passes et son timing et aucune organisation : un ou deux auraient pu te dogfight pendant que le dernier te sweep (extend en grimpant, demi-tour et attaque etc.) et le combat aurait été fini en 2 minutes maximum.
Cependant, bien joué. Même avec des ennemis peu expérimentés, réussir à les mener par le bout du nez n'est pas évident (perso j'ai du mal ^^).

recently i started japanese tree and wanted to get good in hayabusa because of its reputation in history but after some expirience and research on internet i saw that it s not very good plane in general. Can you advise something that will be a good platform to get good in? And whats your opinion on ki43 in war thunder?
It's wonky in WT, but if you get some experience in it it can be pretty good. It's fighting players with less experience in the game that turn with everything, and Ki43 outturns its opposition so it would be easy.

Hello Adam! Can you explain to me what it makes sense to fly to TAS? All aircraft characteristics in the game are in accordance with IAS.
TAS gives your actual speed, which gives the correct information for aim lead purposes, and how high you can zoom up to someone for the shot.

Mixture? Mixture isn't really modeled on most planes (P47s are 1 exception). Just leave it at 60%.

They are really similar, so probably not.
I find the Yak-3U funny, doesn't resemble a Yak as much as the others lol. Its like the russian engineers went "you know what, let's just slap a radial M-82 engine on the Yak because why not :D"
If you have a good engine at your disposal and it fits in a smaller plane, might as well do it.

@@sungyunkim7450 The 50mm isn't very good at plane matches, because rate of fire and ammo count of that cannon is just too low. but in ground RB it will be priority target for AA or plane.

It's a Yak3 airframe with an La7 engine. Similar to Yak3VK.

It is not poor - it's one of the best turners in that BR cause it has full functioning flaps - that's a main weapon

Props to Gajin with "balancing" the Skyshark - the only a bit realistic chance to kill them is to fight them with a Ta 152 H1 or a I 225 at very high altitudes and hoping you can kill them before they dive away... I really don't know what else to do against them in a thier 4 Match (Maybe Spitfire Mk 22,24 work against them but this is just speculating) - this plane should be a 7.0 ground attacker and not encountering WW2 warbirds...
Giving them an airspawn was a mistake.

You need to use Manual Engine Controls (MEC) to keep radiators open.

Does this thing has a supercharger it seems to stop loosing power at 4k?
It does, but every plane except for turbocharged aircraft will lose power with altitude when they switch gears. Some just lose power earlier than others, and a second supercharger gear delays the power loss.
7:35 : why it is so important to dodge F8F for the first 2 passes ?
The plane that is joining the dogfight (F8F) has more energy and will be the one that is the most likely to get close to a shot on you in the short term. As time goes on and he makes a few passes, the energies will equalize. In this case it took around 2 passes for the F8F to get to the same energy state as the rest of us.

How does the Yak 3U compare with the VK 107?
Turns and climbs slightly better at low altitude and overheats less, slightly slower, worse at high altitude.
what does MER mean? Why were you happy that they started to loop with you? Is the Yak-3U more nimble than it's opponents in that particular 3v1?

When outnumbered, you want them to follow you in the same maneuvers, that way it's almost as if you're only fighting 1 opponent. If 1 follows your maneuvers and the others extend and them come back, you'll have to constantly dodge and you'll eventually die.

Different, both have good climb though. Use speed to retreat to friendlies if you don't have the energy advantage, and BnZ if you have the energy advantage.

Yes, though if you load 30 min, it can become a close dogfight.
What nation and planes do you recommend to train in realistic battle
I recommend progressing in all nations at relatively the same pace. The ones I recommend are the ones I speak well about in my videos.
@@AdamTheEnginerd i rushed the french tree but it's kinda bad. Only the saber dog is really good compared to the others. I mean french jets are not that bad they are pretty average the problem is the BR system like the md452 should not face 9.0 md450 should be 7.3

Great climb and accel, good turn, but low fuel. You can't afford to chase stuff around. Knowing how to fly at an efficient speed and gliding is going to be useful.

Should be really close in a race to 2km. Race to 1km Yak3U wins, race to 3km P51H wins.

tbh, you weren't that unlucky. You had 2 Spitfire Mk 24 Griffons, but the players were the difference maker I would say. Adam, what do you think is better the Griffon Mk 24 or the A2D?
A2D that attackers enemy planes is more useful, mostly due to its airspawn.
