Thank you very much for that great commentary video Joe! It was really fantastic to collect these results & comments from all the fans who participated. It was really a good overview of what's going on in our minds. I will certainly do more surveys in the future
Looks like the theaters will be closed all year, maybe "No Time to Die" should come out on Netflix before Daniel Craig goes to the old age home. The elites do not want the lockdown to ever end.
Two measures of Gin, one of Vodka, topped by a sprinkling of Pfizer vaccine over ice.....you will be shaking, not stirred.
My local Alamo theater closed for 8-10 weeks, tops. We’ve been there watching movies since August 2020.
Looks like u were wrong
Thanks for the nice mention.
Congratulations with that well deserved high spot on that list, Joe! And amazing that your channel is already a teenager, that's a long time for creating great content.
Love the Top 3 Bond fan contributors. David, Calvin and Joe.
If anything, the stuff put out during lockdown was a saviour . .
instablaster.
Good job. But I wonder if Joseph Darlington is a fictional character as well, cus he really looks like that Danny guy in Kings of Queens ; )
Shhhh. Don't tell.
Speaking of the "Bond Fandon Is Too Old" point.... I would say that the Bond Fandome is mature.
Great content Joe.
What I’ve always been hopeful for is you and Scott doing another live stream. I really enjoyed the handful you two did in 2020. Especially the one where another childhood friend joined the conversation. I’m in New York and it’s nice to hear guys talking about places I’m familiar with back East.
Scott reminds me of myself, a real movie buff, home theater enthusiast and a guy who appreciates good cinema. If you two got together to chat once a month or even every few weeks that would be great. The conversation doesn’t have to be just about James Bond. I have enjoyed your previous discussions about film in general and what’s going on in the world today. Just a thought. Love your videos and the site revamp. Keep up the great work. Stay safe.
Great job Head of Section being at the top of the list with David and Calvin! Curious, interesting and surprised that Dutch Bond Fan wasn't on the list. The guy has 31.6K subscribers and some of his videos have almost 500K views. He and Calvin were the first ones I found way back when.
Very well deserved👍
I choose the 80s too!
81 - For Your Eyes Only
83 - Octopussy
85 - A View to a Kill
87 - The Living Daylights
89 - License to Kill
Cmon that line up is just too good
It's Licence.
The only decade monopolised by a single director (excluding NSNA helmed by Irvin Kershner) - though even then the calibre of the films varied. Still, because of the (rather consequential) 'snafu' with YOLT and OHMSS I would have chosen the 1980s over the 1960s (had I known about the vote) 🎬📽
On podcast - how can you keep it up after 4 years since the last film
Leave it to the Germans !
Your reviews with Scott are great 👍
Female fans and podcasters? Where there any questions or results about this?
Glad that I took part in this survey.
Cut a long story story short, Bond should go back to basics after the Craig era.
Also voted for you Joe! Your reviews with Scott were awesome!
How you was able to take the survey?
Congratulations! Well deserved! I love your content and you're certainly in esteemed company!
EON should embrace a Pottermore type platform, and welcome in the content creators and new ideas.
Modern Bond it seems it having big trouble and major problems keeping up with all the other big budget franchises which manage to release a movie once every year or two.
The recently released movie Godzilla Vs Kong instantly comes to mind. Four movies since 2014 to Bond's one, despite not one of the MonsterVerse movies making a Billion Dollars and each receiving mixed reviews at best, they still manage to get them released every two year. Simply not good enough EON.
Agreed. Sad, tho
Does it say modern Bond isn't bringing in new fans, just disappointing old ones?
The survey didn't show Dutch Bond Fan - he was my 2nd Bond-related subscription. (Calvin was 1st, Joe you were 3rd!).
I am considering doing a Bond channel myself.
I think the points are valid, but I hope your content production remains (creepily, a la Colonel Klebb) a "real labor of love".
I like that for the most part Bond fandom starts around 30 when you’re an adult. Let marvel appeal to the young generation and then they grow up and learn life more they can appreciate a better type of entertainment rather than chase fake worlds for some rocks
Bond fandom is dying. Marvel and other film genres are more attractive to younger generation
The Bond franchise needs a dedicated showrunner who is dedicated and fixated on Bond and Bond only. No side projects to distract them.
New plot idea - Bond discovers that Hitler was his long lost brother. Blofeld, Bond, and Adolf were triplets, so World War II was really Bond's fault for getting all dad's attention. Madelaine Swan is Eva Braun's daughter and needs to soak her head in bleach to look blonde.
What Bond needs is a young James Bond who can commit to doing 7 films, 1 every other year for the next decade+. They also need to not worry about politics or being politically correct and just make good action films.
