If Being James Bond showcases what being James Bond was like for Daniel Craig, then I think Being James Bond will end up liking Being James Bond… sorry I couldn’t resist trying to fit as many “Being James Bond”s as possible into a comment, it was too tempting 😂 genuinely excited to see the review!!

I was really disappointed as I was so looking forward to seeing a documentary about the history of Head of Section and the real Being James Bond. I do believe you've been Being James Bond longer than Daniel Craig. ;) Good review Joe. Got a kick out of Calvin's review too where he started off mentioning you. :D

I'll never forget how excited I was when I walked out of the theater in 2006 after seeing "Casino Royale." I was so optimistic for what the next decade would bring and even though Craig's films haven't always gone in the direction I would have liked, this documentary got me very nostalgic for Craig's time as Bond and very excited for "No Time To Die." I also found it interesting that Barbara Broccoli said she couldn't imagine anyone else taking over the role. Not the kind of thing you'd expect the producer to say and makes me wonder what the future holds. Always great to hear your take, Joe!

What a shame your t-shirt store was shut down. If the documentary had been given a more appropriate title, say “Not Being James Bond”, maybe you would have been OK. Re Craig’s emotion, don’t forget he’s an actor, after all.
Craig will always be miscast for me. I always thought Bond should be someone very handsome and someone "you wish you could look like" i.e Connery in his prime. Craig quite frankly looked like the type of guy who would be checking the tire pressure at your local garage or be doing manual labor somewhere. Just an ordinary Joe. Of course, they countered his face by jacking up his body but for me Craig's face, even his voice, did not fit the James Bond I got from the books or would expect to see on the screen. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy his films, but to me his Bond is just a Bourne Identity type agent, he is nothing like the Bond I know. And lets not forget that Ian Fleming had a low opinion of Connery and called him "an over developed stuntman". What would he have thought of the very average looking Craig with his over developed body crammed into a tight fitting suit? I dread to think.

when will your t shirt shop be open, will it ever, but i guess craig is not coming back, thank god, because i just dont want him to do another movie, to me hes not that handsome in later years, so someone new and fresh is key, darlington did you ask craig in a convention about being james bond, i wonder if they used that in the doc, they couldnt use becoming bond since lazenby doc which was one of the best doc, i dont know if they will do more docs in the future, cause i just dont know why we get it for craig but not for the other bonds, i would love to get docs for the other bonds, maybe one day if EON decides to show the tape the from rissia with love tape that everyone has to do, that would be fascinating, hopefully we get more bond docs in the future.

Really good documentary! The 'broken leg' story during Spectre filming does not explain away that movie's problems. Spectre is OK ....but jettison the 'brother' storyline and put a decent action set piece on the end to rival the scale of the opening and you'd have a great movie.
I wish we got to SEE them talking about everything not just a commentary over footage most of us have seen a million times. It was good but could have been much better.

The Craig era was a great step forward for the Bond franchise. He put together a very good body of work for the most part. With that being said, the template Ion Production used for the rebooted series was the best action thriller out there, the Bourne series and more specifically "The Bourne Identity". If you look at many of the action scenes, they used identical film technique. The fight scenes are identical. Especially the staircase fight scene in "Casino Royale". As Pierce Brosnan said, "The Bourne series changed everything". Ion had to become introspective and look at their film style. Great reboot.
