Disagree with about 99% of this ranking but we all have our own tastes so respect regardless.
Disagree with 100% !
Good to see the living daylights so high one of the most underrated bond films there is so much to enjoy in this one
It's my number one. To me it's the perfect Bond movie. It has all the classic Bond elements, a great Cold War plot, and a fantastic performance from Dalton. It's a damn shame he only did two movies.
@@AaronStark1993 couldn’t agree more
A view to a kill isn’t a guilty pleasure. It’s just a pleasure
Very entertaining video, I'd probably swap "Octopussy" and "The Spy Who Loved Me". Good to see some love for "For Your Eyes Only".
First, I think we should watch DAF when we get together over the holidays...I agree with you on LTK for sure...but Quantum at 20 and lower than AVTAK??? Dang son! Harsh...LOL. Love the list and as always the best entertainment on the web!
Diamonds Are Forever is straight garbage
An edited video of you two watching DAF would be great. Joe hates it, you could discuss how much more he would hate it if Connery wasn't in it.
Very nice to finally see a list with Daylights and FYEO near the top. The former has a criminally underrated actor and score, while the latter has some of the best cinematography of the series - from the action sequences to the way the camera pans from foreground to background in some shots - really creates some next level transitions.
Greatly looking forward to this video! The big question…where will No Time to Die fall? I’ll hazard a guess: at #8.
Such a great and very brave list. Thanks so much Joe! And just as an aside, so glad FYEO gets the recognition it very much deserves.
Agree about FYEO. It was always a top 10 for me and arguably top 5.
@@STONESGAM Great to hear you think so too Derek! FYEO is definitely a minimalist and Fleming gem for me. A great spy story as well (though many don't see it that way). Sometimes in the top five for me, but definitely always in the top ten. I love the story, themes, dialogue, music, and scenery. As with others, I also regard it as a great follow up to OHMSS.
@@theotsalamandris7572 Agree. It has grown on me big time over the years and the film tones down the slapstick comedy here which plays to Moore's strengths but was overdone during most of his era.
Classy Film and the locations were great too with nothing occuring that was that unrealistic or over the top
Thanks for the response. Merry Christmas!
Great list. The only glaring exception for me is Licence to Kill which sits in my Top 10 around the same spot you have No Time To Die, and similar to your justification for No Time To Die, the problems you had with Licence to Kill I can understand but I simply didn’t have those problems when I saw it 10 times in the theater back in 89. Other than that, my list is very similar with the exact same bottom 2.
Good to see Octopussy get some love. One of my top 10 as well.
One of the classic whacky fun entries
Also I noticed you don't have any Brosnan films in the top 10 unlike more "modern" reviewers, I have the same feeling about these films. Brosnan is great but he was saddled with some of the worst written Bond films along with carrying over the bad parts of the Moore era.

No. He has done a comparison video with his rankings with the sorta app rankings and the differences between them though.
Lol how you could ever consider Diamonds nearly on par with Skyfall is just 🤯
Die Another Day is the only one that's actually bad
Octopussy has to be the most underated bond movie ever. On the other end, I would say honestly Skyfall is the most over-rated - Still a good movie but I wouldnt put it in my top 10.
You have ranked Octopussy 3rd in your 007 ranking. Good on you! Seriously underrated. This is a good fun Bond movie!
Octopussy in the Top 3. That's surprising. 😯 good Choice 😉
My boy Joe. Seeing NTTD in the top 10 is crazy but i love the balls here.
Its middle of the road. I must thank you though as many years ago you opened my eyes on Octopussy.
Cheers🍸🍸🍸
Cool, nice to see you ranking them again, really miss you and Scott reviewing the films. Though Scott wound up in car trunks at times. Goldeneye, and Majesties still top for me. Love the films.
Number 3!! You bloody champion Joe. So happy to see my favourite Bond film getting the love it deserves. I was so excited seeing it at Number 3.

Its my favourite actually! Fantastic film!

I saw Diamonds Are Forever three times the summer of 71 as a 12 year old. As years pass I can agree with the Blofeld/Tracy continuity issues, but I still think it's more fun than half of the rest....
What’s funny was that they begged Connery to come back to do it after George Lazanby did OHMSS. Eon Productions wanted him back so bad. He only came back for the money
Diamonds is a guilty pleasure. It's goofy at times and not the best Connory film but man is it a fun movie.

@@LittenMandrake Why? That's the best film in the franchise in terms of cinematic qualities.
@@ricardocantoral7672 in your opinion (which is fine) but you do not speak for everyone. I started watching the series for the 1st time from Dr No onward in order without reading any spoilers/reviews so was completely unbiased and OHMSS was so bad that I literally gave up on James Bond. I thought he (Lazenby) had taken over the series after Connery and if someone hadn't told me a year later that he was just a once off, I wouldn't have seen anything else post-Connery. Have revisted it multiple times and it is just as excruciating. Lazenby is not convincing for a single frame, the hyped romance with Tracy is incredibly forced/downright creepy at times, the plot is one of the worst of the series (DAF level), Blofeld is completely rewritten, and worst of all it is just flat out BORING. Crap movie, will never waste my time on it again.
Finally some love for octopussy (big surprise but I take it) and justice to timothy dalton for his performance in the living daylights and fyeo. 2 big shockers......... goldeneye (15 ? really ? ) and goldfinger omg. I think we can all agree on number 25 and 24 lol

Appreciate your ranking, but really? LTK @21, really do NOT agree with you with this. LTK is very close to lan Flemings, bond Timothy Dalton is the best actor to have taken on bond, I know it's different but at the time that was a good thing.
Bond was fantastic, bond girl was good, the villain was amazing, the story was good, and the action was top quality 👌.
But the rest of your ranking was pretty good.
One of the best bond channels out there.
BeingJamesBond will return ….. soon???
You better believe it! Thanks for the kind words!
The list was well thought out, and although there were differences to my personal list, I could understand your perspective…..and then you put Goldeneye at 15. Man Joe…you tested my faith in you lol. Great video as always, fantastic list, and always enjoy debating this with you and the community.
Like sex and pizza…when bad, it’s still pretty good. Can’t help but love the Bond franchise. Have a Merry Christmas! 🍸
Dalton IS Bond!
No, but he was better than Roger Moore.
We need a rant video about the Fleming books being rewritten/censored/edited by “sensitivity readers”. :) Not a rant, but a good discussion would be interesting.
He talked about it on his "Being James Bond" Podcast
Where are you man ? what happened ? ..no more videos ......
When it comes to a choice of watching any Bond, I d always pick a Roger Moore one. Probably out of nostalgia and find them all to be rewatchable. Time To Die would be bottom of my list and in my opinion it has ruined the franchise.
Thanks for ranking spectre so low- such a disappointing follow up to skyfall

Spectre over Skyfall??
@@MrWafflelova
😂Ah the most controversial point on the list! So I’ll answer as fully as I can.
The truth in my heart is that they’re ranked in joint place but this is how the tie breaks for me. Skyfall is unquestionably the better _film_ with clearer stakes, stronger villain, and some of the best dialogue in the entire franchise. However I maintain that Spectre is the better _Bond film_ , checking most of the boxes I want ticked while Skyfall vexes me in some very key ways.
For every fan that takes issue with Blofeld as Bond’s brother, I actually find M as Bond’s mother far more weird and distracting. I just always prefer Bond and M as headbutting colleagues which Brosnan/Dench and Craig/Fiennes do tremendously well. And so not being invested in that means the killer emotional punch in Skyfall never really works for me.
Spectre also has an actual Bond Girl in it all the way through treated with a relatively large degree of respect, whereas Skyfall’s pump/dump/kill/joke approach to Severine - who was a child sex slave - is the most distasteful element in Craig’s entire tenure. It’s noteworthy how Paris Carver is mentioned again and Madeleine Swann has a whole second film devoted to her while Severine is just discarded callously by the filmmakers. (M sort of does double duty as the female lead in Skyfall but making Judi Dench a terrible shot in her swansong leaves a bad taste in my mouth - they should have given her a killer aim like Helen Mirren in RED in my opinion.)
On top of that, it doesn’t help that it would take until “Backfire” and “Snow Plane” till I get to action cues that I enjoy from Thomas Newman because most of his material is too underpowered. I’d go further and say that the strength of his “Tennyson” cue reaffirms how Skyfall’s drama peaks too early at the end of the second act. This puts me in a minority but I find I enjoy Spectre more as it goes on - everything up to the train has this casual, meandering Moore-like pacing - but then it really takes off after the train fight when Craig is allowed to get beaten and emotionally rattled.
I do concede that the enemies-to-lovers arc for Madeleine and Bond is not given nearly enough time to breathe in Spectre, but this only really stays problematic when the movie is viewed as one big series anticlimax. As a penultimate episode before No Time to Die fully commits to their story (and Seydoux is allowed to act her socks off in that film) Spectre works even better than it does on its initial release.
There you go! At least you can understand my thought process even if your feelings on it are vastly different from mine!
This rank is ridicolous in many ways : Goldfinger at 11 means most people dont consider ( as probably they were not born those times when released ) the impact that movie had on entire world and this is the movie billions people seen and recognize 007 , so well about spectre, probably the best script in the craig ‘S era . And so on .
Skyfall is my favorite and a top 20 movie of all time for me. Casino Royale is my second and also is
Excited for this and just excited for any BJB content!
I’m a big fan of Licence to Kill and you’re entitled to your opinion. But honestly I don’t understand why Quantum is above Licence to Kill. Quantum has so many problems with it’s editing and has quite possibly the most boring villain ever to grace a bond film. At least Licence to Kill has great action scenes that you can follow and a great Bond villain.
[Edited for spelling] I love hearing everyone's rankings and commentary, though I never 100% agree. I never agree with myself from week to week, either. But there are some that always are on top, and some always near the bottom. That being said, here's my current standing:
25. No Time To Die- a bloated mess, forced, disastrous plot, and Bond doesn't finish the mission. Smacks of a Daniel Craig vanity project rather than a respectful interpretation. Case study #1 why Bond movies shouldn't be serialized. Non-sensical retconning. Too many sins committed for me to rank higher than last, fantastic cinematography and acting notwithstanding. The only Bond film I actively dislike.
24. Diamonds Are Forever- the closest an Eon Bond film ever came to an outright slapstick comedy. Really cheap feeling, terrible acting (even for a Bond film), glamorless settings. Sort of fun in a terrible way, though.
23. A View To A Kill- it's been said before, Roger Moore was way too old. As an American, to me Bond films that predominantly take place in the US never seem exotic enough. A dusty, boring Bond film that could've been punched up with a younger Bond and better action scenes. Excellent villain though, Walken steals the show.
22. Live And Let Die- See the above comment about US locations. Moore hadn't figured out the role yet. Another excellent villain with Kotto. Not bad, I just get bored with it easily. My least-watched Bond film.
21. On Her Majesty's Secret Service- Lazenby was not the right choice. Time has been kinder to him over the years, I just can't do it. Wonderful Bond girl and excellent cinematography aside, a bad Bond equals a bad Bond movie. The second act at Blofeld's allergy institute might be the most boring in franchise history, but the bookended acts are pretty good, and the one redeeming thing is the fantastic, heartbreaking cliffhanger ending, due in no small part to Lazenby's performance, ironically.
20. Die Another Day- from here on out, I thoroughly enjoy the rest on my list. That said, this is still a goofy but fun Bond movie. Easily Brosnan's worst (though Brosnan himself is always good), and the vomit-inducing CGI... yuck. Bond for the cyberpunk post-The Matrix world. I'd much rather watch a bad, fun Bond film like this than a not fun Bond film like NTTD, any day.
19. The Man With The Golden Gun- used to rank lower, I actually quite like this one. Good locations, excellent villain, obnoxious Bond girl, an unnecessary return of Sheriff Pepper. A truly mixed bag. Though enjoyable, I usually only watch it when bingeing all the Moore Bond films.
18. Moonraker- BOND IN SPAAAACE... a fun adventure, but another mixed bag. By this time Moore had hit his stride in the role. This film's biggest downfall is being bookended by superior Bond films.
17. Licence To Kill- I truly, genuinely, love Dalton as Bond. Davi as a villain is fantastic. But the budgetary restrictions lead to a cheap-looking film. Almost made-for-TV quality. The acting by the supporting cast is horrendous. A fun adventure, but not overly glamorous. Not as "Bond" as I'd like, but I don't fault Dalton for that.
16. Octopussy- exotic, bombastic, outlandish, suspenseful, humorous. This movie gets unfairly targeted as one of the worst. I find it wildly fun, Moore is aging but fantastic. The clown suit was a bit much, admittedly. A thoroughly complete Bond adventure that I enjoy more with every rewatch.
15. The World Is Not Enough- absolute comfort food. As a kid, Brosnan was my first exposure to Bond as a cinematic character, so nostalgia hits for me here. I don't even mind Denise Richards. Robbie Coltrane is always perfect. Bond girl-turned villain is an excellent twist.
14. Tomorrow Never Dies- more comfort food. The leanest of Brosnan's Bonds, a straightforward adventure, Yeoh is great, outlandish villain and classic Bond plot. Edges out TWINE for me, but just.
13. Quantum Of Solace- I know this is high, but I watch it as a two-fer with Casino Royale, and it's like adding vanilla bean ice cream to hot brownies. I really like the Bourne films, so I don't mind the editing. Compact and trim, in and out. Where the Vesper arc should've ended.
12. Goldfinger- I know this is the archetype. The classic. The best Bond villain ever. But... I don't know, I find this one front-loaded. The whole third act is a bit boring... sue me. No way this will ever rank out of the top half for me, though--I'm not daft. Connery is too cool, just wish he didn't spend half the movie imprisoned.
11. Spectre- stupid Austin Powers plot aside, I love this movie. I don't care if nothing makes sense, this is pure escapist fantasy. Exotic, romantic, violent, sexy. Only docked ranking by dragging up the Vesper plot, retconning Skyfall, and retroactively made worse by NTTD.
10. The Spy Who Loved Me- objectively Moore's best Bond, just not according to me. Fantastic all around, one of the best pre-credit sequences ever. The interplay between Moore and Bach is superb. Middling villain, weaker final act. Hardly enough to detract from the experience, though.
9. Thunderball- visually one of the most striking. This one again scratches the escapist fantasy itch. A few too many characters to keep track of, underwater scenes drag a bit, silly villain death. But a classic to be sure.
8. You Only Live Twice- this one aged like milk. But I don't care. Beautiful scenery, lovely Bond girls, fantastic supporting cast. Connery is a bit disinterested, but to me it is an affect of coolness. One of the best villain lair climaxes ever.
7. For Your Eyes Only- a more down to Earth Bond (literally). A villain-turned-ally, ally-turned villain, gorgeous Bond girl. Excellent lifestyle details, like ordering food and wine, with such class. A fantastically dark film. This is peak Roger Moore, easily my favorite of his Bonds.
6. The Living Daylights- as mentioned, I love Dalton. And I like the darker Bond films. Might be the highest I've ever ranked this, but I absolutely love this one, from the locations to the late-Cold War tension throughout. Its flaws don't even register for me.
5. Dr. No- the alpha. Genesis. No frills Bond adventure that still values spycraft. Exotic locales, classic Bond girl, just enough fantasy to not be distracting. Always been one of my favorites.
4. Skyfall- the plot is silly. But I'm not concerned with that. Beautiful, beautiful film. Everything about this one works for me. Quite possibly the best Bond villain ever. I love the sequences, the locales, every character. Nothing but love for this film.
3. From Russia With Love- easily my favorite Connery Bond. Everything here hits: spycraft, romance, danger, scenery, plot. A film where I discover something new with every rewatch. The train sequence is legendary.
2. GoldenEye- nearly perfect in every way. Brosnan was 100% the correct choice to helm the franchise after Dalton bowed out. I'm always in the mood to watch this one. Perfect combination of humor and darkness, superbly acted and produced, compelling characters, delicate at times, but tough and violent. Outlandish, but believable plot. Fantastically done, top to bottom.
1. Casino Royale- my number one was never going to be anything else. My favorite plot, my favorite Bond girl ever, my favorite franchise director (Campbell), my favorite Craig performance, an exquisite Dame Judi Dench as M, an evil, twisted villain, exotic locations, spycraft, humor, tragedy, redemption, betrayal... quite possibly the best spy thriller of all time, Bond or otherwise. The Bond film I've seen more times than any other, and the first I saw in theaters.
If you made it this far, kudos to you. Thanks for reading.
Agree on Brosnans better films. Mid-tier and not top 5 material
I feel like you and I, as Bond fans, would agree on very, very little based on how the list had gone by minute 10 of the video 😂 We would not see eye to eye on… anything 🤣
Goldfinger, from Russia, Spy who loved me and Skyfall are the top 4 Bond-movies. In my book.
the one that jumps out to me is The Man with the Golden Gun. i regard it as the artistic bottom of the series and also budget. At least with Moonraker you can see the budget on the screen and there are some genuinely good sequences. I've watched TMWTGG fewer than any other....besides Specte and NTTD
My husband loves Man With The Golden Gun but I agree…it’s my very least favorite Bond film
Joe, I know you talked plenty about No Time to Die, but can you do one more with Scott, I would love to hear his thoughts.
Yes! Joe and Scott never reconvened for a NTTD review. Thanks for pointing that out.
My favourite film 🎥🎥is Casino Royale
Nearly dropped my martini on the floor and shot myself with a Walther PPK when you mentioned Goldeneye so low. Shaken not stirred would be an understatement 🤯
Once again I'll never ever understand why people dislike Diamonds so much. Even with explanations I will never understand!
I think it's one of the most simple and fun Bond films around, not confusing, not filled with horrible humor, and not trying to be something it's not.
Just a neat little afternoon Bond adventure
That film is garbage, that's why.
@@greatwuta tell me your james bond films ranking.
@@bouya642 look around this comment section because I posted it here in day one
It is boring, silly, weak villain, Connery sleepwalks through it, long stretches of no action, and when action happens it’s not convincing, henchman disappear until the very end. It’s more of a showcase of a dated Vegas with bad comedic elements than a spy thriller

I really respect your boldness when it came to this list. (Like Goldeneye at 15 is BOLD, but I don't entirely disagree honestly) As for my opinion, I think the three best ones are License to Kill, Casino Royale, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
@AirSoft123 IMO the best James Bond films are From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Goldfinger, Thunderball, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, The Living Daylights, License To Kill, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall and No Time To Die. My favourites are From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Thunderball, Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me
Nothing is worse than Spectre. That shit was absolutely unforgivable. So bad it made me want to watch Die Another Day again to wash the bad taste out of my mouth.
A View to a Kill is totally underrated
No it's not. That film is bad

Oh my goodness, in my opinion, the list is way off. lol. Moore in the top 5? Really? Your list would be completely different if you experienced Bond films at its inception. I cannot explain how mind boggling growing up during the Bond phenomenon was from the beginning. Seeing/witnessing every movie in the massive art deco theatres during the original release, the sold out crowds, the applause, the marketing, the products, all the toys, Barry’s score, etc. 6 times for you seeing Casino Royale in the theatre, I saw Thunderball around 8 times alone in 1965. A lot safer for kids going to movies back then. Then there was the multiple re-releases in 1968, then 1971 double bill with YOLT, and even more RR’s. My dad took me to the drive-ins so I could record the movies on audio. That pic next to this comment, that’s me dressed/posing like Connery in the YOLT poster. I respect your list, ( I agree with you on OHMSS & CR at the top). My #1 is Thunderball! The 1st true CinemaScope wide screen Bond. Back then, the screens were basically all IMAX size. Its nice to be a part of a community that share the love of this character and films. Thank you and others for your videos.
My top 10
1) Casino Royale
2) On Her Majesty's Secret Service
3) Goldfinger
4) Skyfall
5) GoldenEye
6) The Spy Who Loved Me
7) From Russia With Love
8) No Time To Die
9) Licence to Kill
10) The Living Daylights
Great list, I agree with most of it, but would have had TSWLM higher and Goldeneye too. Also NSNA is not an official bond film, but if it was, where would it land on your list?
Actually, Sean Connery was sooooooo much better in NSNA(1983) than in DAF(1971)! NSNA: not a bad movie at all! 1983: What a unique year! 2 James Bond films! "Octopussy": 6 June 1983. "NSNA": 7 October 1983. ***** And what is today's reality??? Since 2015 we wait about 6 years for each new movie....................
Very Nice List ... I would have put No Time to Die further down the list ... Yes it was a Beautiful looking film. For me ... Craig's performance was Not James Bond and So glad his Tenure is over ... Story was Rubbish 🗑 in many ways.
Ive been on a Bond movie kick for a couple weeks. Just rewatching them and thinking of them critically. Along with watching a few I'd never seen. While watching you, Calvin, and the Bond experience, I've noticed something I just don’t understand. So I just watched both Thunderball and License to Kill for the first time the other day, and I'm blown away from the common consensus. I thought LtK was fantastic, maybe in my top 5 Bond films and Thunderball was a boring slog that doesn't hold up at all......Am I just crazy? I want to talk more about this, but my first comment is long enough for now lol
Couldn’t agree more I’ve always found Thunderball a slog to get through. Licence to Kill on the other hand is one of the best bond movies.
I think Licence To Kill is far too low on this list but I also think it doesn't deserve the veneration it gets. The film basically feels like high-end, Cannon Films knock off of a Bond film. Even the title sounds like a pedestrian James Bond wannabe. Yet on other hand, I will say the scenes in Isthmus City are actually well done and the tanker chase sequence is still the best chase scene in the franchise's history.
Great stuff, as always. I've listened to all the podcasts and several times here you brought me straight back to your early episodes (some of your best!). I really enjoyed how you talked about these films through the different themes of what you love about Bond: locations, gadgets, villains, etc. Again, straight from the early days of the podcast. Really enjoyed this one!
This is a very original top 25. I really like your perspectives and explanations. Very pleased to see For Your Eyes Only so high up. I think it’s often overlooked. It’s such a fantastic movie, with Roger Moore on perfect form.
Well done. I disagree on several - very much - but you explain your choices admirably.
I do agree Casino Royale is the best.
Great video!
Nice to see one of the "big boys" of the community putting No Time To Die so high on their list. The movie definitely has problems but there's so much great stuff there, I adore it and it ranks at 8th place for me as well.
And I agree about Octopussy being one of the most underrated Bond movies out there.
The Terence Young films, Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Thunderball literally cured my insomnia.

@calvindyson talk some sense into this ol' git! LOL!
Joseph Darlington -- I appreciate your channel and all the effort you put into it, but some of your ratings just mystify me. CASINO ROYALE was a misreading of Ian Fleming's novel. Yes, the story is there, but the interpretation of the story is wrong. Not just wrong, but twisted wrong. Not just twisted wrong, but disingenuous and insincere. You really need to take a deeper look. James Bond is deconstructed in this film. I find it disheartening. I can't relate to rating the Daniel Clueless films above Dr. No, From Russia With Love and OHMSS.
I’m gonna go ahead and mark you down as ‘undecided’.
The originating team who created the Bond films -- Terence Young, Peter Hunt, Richard Maibaum and Sean Connery -- made the best Bond films. Their stylization is James Bond:
1.Dr. No
2. From Russia With Love
3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
4. Thunderball
I wish Terence Young had directed Goldfinger, it would be a tighter, not so ponderous film.
5. Goldfinger
John Glen's films are problematic, in part because Michael G. Wilson kept interfering with Maibaum's scripts, but also because he directed like a sledgehammer. No dramatic intelligence:
6. The Living Daylights
7. Licence to Kill
8. For Your Eyes Only
9. GoldenEye
10. Tomorrow Never Dies
11. The World Is Not Enough
12. The Man With the Golden Gun
13. You Only Live Twice
14- Live and Let Die
15. Diamonds are Forever
16. The Spy Who Loved Me
17. Moonraker
18. Octopussy
19. Die Another Day
20. A View to a Kill
I reject Barbara Broccoli's anti-Bond agenda and Craig's psychotic interpretation. These are Bond films in name only. Internally they are something else, something ugly that does not come from Fleming.
21. Quantum of Solace
22. Skyfall
23 Spectre
24- Casino Royale tied with No Time to Die@@Beingjamesbond
Joseph, now that Ian Fleming's novels are sliding into public domain, how do you think that will effect future James Bond films? Casino Royale is in public domain now, Live and Let Die will be in pd end of the year, Moonraker next year, etc. Are independent low-budget Bond films coming to challenge EON ? Will an empowered filmmaker like Christopher Nolan move in and take over?
37:02 Calum Dyson enters the chat. Seriously though, I do agree from russia with love is a classic.
However, I feel like Tomorrow never dies, the movie would have been ever better, if they didnt reveal the the villans plot or that Spectre is behind everything at the begining of the movie. It would have been a great mysyey if for most of the movie, you were not sure who Red Grant is and why he is following bond for example.

nice list. You are the first reviewer to point out that Goldeneye is a massively overrated film. It is a paint by numbers affair.
Whenever people make fun of the over the top campiness of "view to a kill", and praise "goldeneye" i really wonder if they have actually watched "goldeneye".
In the pretitle sequence, Bond drives a motorcycle off a cliff, makes himself fly faster than an airplane (which was gunning itself towards the ground), actually catch the plane, go inside and pull it out of a dead dive. It is the cheeziest action scene in any bond film ever.
When I saw Goldeneye in the cinema, the whole place was laughing at the absurdity of that scene. And it continues on from there
😮 Ranked "A View to a Kill" above "Quantum of Solace" and "Spectre"????? NOOOOOOOOO
