You are right Joe, that moment in the DB5 is actually pretty Fleming! I hadnt really thought of it in that light, but its almost like Bond is ready to give up and then decides to choose for survival. Very cool actually! Concerning the Being James Bond thing, I hadnt even thought things could indeed have been worse. I thought getting those tshirts out of sale was already pretty harsh before, but I guess you are right. On the bright side though: have your website hits increased since this thing was announced?

One of the questions Calvin has previously debated is whether an outstanding NTTD, which now clearly means to stake it all on weaving a loose pentalogy out of Craig’s Bond films, can rehabilitate the reputations of QOS and Spectre, by making them better films in the context of NTTD. I can’t recall if there’s actually a filmic precedent for such a reassessment of a prior movie’s merits, based on the plot developments of a subsequent film, but I can’t wait to find out.
I find it amazing that a movie with a plot that seems to involve a cataclysmic bio-weapon was impacted by an actual global pandemic. COVID may, ironically, end up being the best unintended marketing bonanza NTTD could’ve ever imagined. Of course, the opposite could also happen - that general audiences (not Bond fans) get turned off by it. I guess we’ll see how it all plays out in a month.
110 percent behind you on that real highlight from the US trailer with the Aston Martin in the square. the action looks absolutely electric. Performances are superb. Primo seems like a great henchman. I love how he stands towering over the car just relentlessly firing away, gives me old school terminator vibes, In just that scene it seems like this time around they are facing a threat that will be psychical & emotional.
This is seriously going to be a phenomenal film. Cannot wait for this! 😁

It would be nice if the Producers called Jo Darlington (and David Zaritsky and Calvin Dyson) and arranged to put an interview with the group on the special features of NTTD DVD. For the sake of half an hour or so the publicity and insight would be great to see/hear from both sides.

At this stage anything gets us excited about NTTD … in Australia it’s being delayed again and we’re not seeing it until November 11 (Armistice day).
I agree with you 100% about that scene in the car, Bond just sitting there thinking, all those thugs shooting at the car and Madeline's plea "James!" Just awesome.

I could not agree more with you Joe that the international trailer was better than the US. The US felt like a DVD/Blu-Ray promo ad to buy while the international was focused on the film. Also the international trailer had music that may be coming from the soundtrack which increases the enthusiasm to go out and buy it. As always keep up the great work.

I would love to say that I'm hyped for No Time To Die but I'm not. In October when I am watching No Time To Die in the theater, that will be the only time I'm going to hyped up to see it. I'm sick and tired of waiting for this movie already MGM. Let me see this already.

I'm so happy that this movie will finally premieres after so many delays. Finally it´s the end of Daniel Craig as this grim and grotesque James Bond who looks like Schrek. Gosh, the world must be crazy to accept this guy as James Bond.
It must be stressed that the retrospective mosaic from the previous Craig/Bond outings aren’t just meant as fan service reminiscence or reminders for short-term memory Americans. The filmmakers appear to be doubling down on the notion of all the Craig storylines being part of a grand, organic whole. That’s daring - and risky. But, the emotional payoff from this bet has the potential to be truly spectacular.

This is Nomi's film, they're just trying to hide it now after the disastrous test screenings. She is 007. That's why Bond is referred to as "James Bond, license to kill". Bond will be physically dominated, verbally humiliated, and schooled by her throughout as they set her up to take over as 007. Degrading, destroying, and vandalizing the creations of white men is a cornerstone of woke IP handoffs. It has happened with star wars, Ghostbusters, he-man, now Bond, and next up is Indiana Jones, also desecrated by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. But make no mistake. This is Nomi's film. Nomi is 007. The producers are lying about their future intent for the franchise.
Am I the only one who grows more sceptical with every trailer. They seem to be desperate to keep up the hype. After Spectre and all the rumors I am rather cautious. I would really like to see a good Bond movie again.
You’ve certainly used “Being James Bond” long enough to where I don’t think they actually have much of an argument. You never plagiarized anything or pretended to be an official rep of Eon in the book. Ridiculous they (owners of franchise) couldn’t actually pick a different name themselves!
