Oh my gosh, he is using a Stormtrooper pencil. That's commitment to your bit.
All he needs now is "The Death Star was an inside job!" sticker on his armor.
InstaBlaster...
This has got to be one of the best DIY's I have seen not only for how good it looks but for the fact you took your time and actually explained it rather then doing the million mile an hour time laps that turns into the person just showing off.
I know it is a lot to ask but do you think you will ever do a star wars trooper armor build? I can't find a single one that takes their time to show how each piece is made.
Hello, thank your for watching, and for the nice comment. Unfortunately, I do not have the equipment or know-how to cast armor. If you are interested in Stormtrooper armor, I suggest checking out whitearmor.net or anovos.com Almost all of us Stormtroopers purchase armor kits from vendors on whitearmor.net or anovos.com Hope this helps :-) Whitearmor.net is the authority on Stormtrooper armor. If you are interested, join the forums, look around, and ask questions. That is where we all start our path down the dark side.
Sadly too expensive. I was hoping there was a way to do it by heating and shaping white plastic. I thank you for your help though. Still great video's.
Will you do more of the gun props out of wood in the future?
I'm working on Boba Fett's Empire Strikes Back EE-3 blaster now. It will have some wood components, and PVC. It won't be an economy priced model, I am going for realism on this one :-)
A simple way to make armour is to heat an eva foam floor mat (About $5 at a home store) with a heat gun, and bend it into shape. EVA foam takes to spray paint very well, and the correct paint can give it a plastic look while retaining the flexibility of foam. Hope this helped.
Bakari wolf Try Walts Trooper Factory. They make good quality, movie accurate armor kits for much less. They're kits are also 501st certified.
I looked everywhere to find a DLT-19 build. Here it is. HappyTrooper, your amazing I love your star wars builds
Just search Mashinengewehr-34 star wars
“Palpatine’s buzzsaw”
Buzzsaw was the nickname given to the Mg 42 not tge mg 34
William Naughton yeah but there is no blaster based on the mg-42 in Star Wars
Jason Armstrong the valken-38x
World War 2 Instinct yeah but that was only a sniper rifle
Jason Armstrong alright, you’re probably right
I don't know why but this channel is really helpful for Star Wars props
You earned yourself my subscription. Your creative, and artistic work deserves 5 million subscribers! Can u make a A280C blaster or a DH17
Excellent alternative to $1200 airsoft MG-34. shame most of the parts are unavailable or overpriced up here in Canada :(
Mad Cow Rebel I was looking online for something cheap and I found a Spanish website that sold this blaster for about $200, but it is made of foam. I prefer HappyTroopers version
I've come to feel that building something, weather it be a prop or a house, is always better than buying if done right. Much better to have a conversation about something you built by hand and know the ins-and-outs of, every screw and contour than to say: here's this thing I bought
Found a MG-34 replica for $126, US Dollars. Still has plenty of room for modifications and building. home.wowway.com/~cushmanpaintball/197.html
Yeah everything’s expensive in Canada
Oof
The closeups had me thinking this was all metal. Very well done.
I would be interested in seeing your take on building the A280c blaster rifle
Which one? The one seen in Star Wars Battlefront (2016) or in the movies?
(The A280 is based off of an M4 platform and the A280c is based off the Sturmgewehr 44. DICE named the A280c (STG) from their "Star Wars: Battlefront" the A280. They almost had it correct but were off by one letter.)
(Also, the A280c is very similar to its counterpart, the A295. (Same base weapon, the STG 44.))
@@generalgrievous6735 I was gonna tell you to "go back to wherever you crawled out of", but I think your name has the answer.
He doesn’t make rebel blasters only imperial, bounty hunter, Jawa and smugglers blasters
This is the best build Ive seen for this. I have looked at Astyanax's version of this build but I like this one better because it uses items that you can get at the local hardware store. Good job on this one as you include a comprehensive parts and tools list.
I'm building a Cassian Andor blaster, and I layered wood cut pieces out with a dremel cutting router attachment just like that, and went back in with the sanding bit to grind it down to the lines. I'm glad other people have had success with that technique as well!
This is one of the best models I have ever seen and I watch this stuff all the time good job
this is probably one of my favorite builds
this is also an mg34 tutorial. TWO IN ONE!!!!
Yeah mostly some parts will need to be changed but it’s mostly an mg34
Thank you for sharing, that's the perfect guide for me to build my own rifle. Cheers for you trooper!
Awesome build! My son and I have been enjoying trying some of your builds during quarantine!
Thank you for this awesome tutorial. It gave me some good ideas for making other blasters that I wasn't sure how to go about making before.
Really happy I found this. I was thinking about making a mandalorian heavy armor, and I thought this weapon looked perfect for my design.
That is amazing...I cant wait to see what you come up next.
Been looking around for someone to make a blaster rifle and finally someone has!
this is actually very well done, lots of time and effort
HappyTrooper! Just finished my DTL-19. Thanks
Superb build. Definitely doing this. Thanks.
Hey! I am loving your videos/tutorials! Please do more I'd love to see you do the Dc-15 rifle and DC-15s the clone pistol. :) keep up the great amazing work!!!
Can confirm, a 1/2 inch forstner bit works great for making the barrel holes. Made pilot holes with a small drill bit first and then hit it with the forstner bit. The leftover bits can easily be scraped away with an exacto blade.
This was MAGNIFICENT! I loved how all of the screws were identified by number, measurements and types of hardware and building materials were precisely listed, etc.! And the results are AWESOME!
I had to laugh at the mouthwash cap; I often look at objects in the trash and recycling and contemplate how they could be "repurposed" (the psychological term for that characteristic is apparently called "low latent inhibition")! ;-)
Fantastic work!
In the process of building.
Lot of compliments from my Garrison
That was an impressive build.
Wow, what a great job !!!
I'm an older retired guy, ( I got married the year the first Star Wars came out 1977) and am just starting to build some props.
Just started tonight!!! Thanks for the template!!!!
that is the coolest video i have seen in a long time! well done, good sir.
That looks awesome. Nice work man
I have been waiting this moment for a long time
Luke Skywalker u should've said "I've been looking forward to this"
Your are awesome man! Im going to try do this! Thanks for the video!
Happy trooper, your videos are great, I've built a few of these and a few EE-3's using your videos and a bit of my own imagination. I usually change a few of the procedures and materials to make them more personal to me. Thanks again and keep it up!!! Star Wars!!!!.
Amazing video. Thank you for the write up.
Awesome vid I, always enjoy watching you make this stuff
With a bit of work, this could easily become a DLT-19X sniper blaster. Excellent tutorial!
Absolutely fantastic
Great tutorial and nice work. Thanks for posting the video.
Awesome video, and great detail!
Love your DIY, helped me make a lightsaber for my child. I would love to see your take on the droid E-5 or the clone DC-15 blasters . Keep up the good work 👌🏻
This is awesome! Well done, thanks for sharing!
This was awesome. Well done, and thank you.
This was a good build. This looks like the Stouker Concussion Rifle used
By the Trandoshan Bounty Hunter known as Bosskk. Only, the Concussion
Rifle had a stock more like a Shotgun Stock, but it had a Blaster Barrel like
the one you built.
The patience you must have to do this it's a skill
You are the man!!! I know what I am doing this weekend!!!!
I watched this great video and went away and built my own DLT-19 , added "T" tracks and a few other little mods to make it mine... Thanks for a great vid .
Hey Sean, thanks for posting up a comment, I'm glad that you were able to complete the project! May I ask what you used for "T" tracks? If you have any photos posted online, I'd love to see them. Thanks again for writing in & MTFBWY

As soon as I gain access, I would like to post your photos on my blog with credit to you of course. Thank you for watching and providing those T-Track links.
I'll message you later today
IM SO EXCITED!!!! I HAVE STARTED THE CONSTRUCTION OF MY DLT-19!!!! I am slowly starting my mission to join the 501st legion as a sandtrooper.
Fantastic work! Could you make a video on the Shoretrooper blaster rifle?
BUILD THE DC-15A BLASTER FROM ATTACK OF THE CLONES PLEASE!!!
Hey Happy trooper, I just finished my own DLT-19 using your tutorial and it turned out amazing! Thanks so much. I can show you pics if you're on any of the 501st forums.

WHOA, nice job Sillyrunner! I love the scope, great idea, very nice touch. I have added your photo and credited you on my blog: happytrooper.com/?p=5594 Thank you for watching and sharing your photo. MTFBWY
Finally!!!!!!! I've waited so long. I told myself I would subscribe if this happened.
Really well thought out how to tutorial !
Good stuff! Well done! Love it!
Very well made video. Great stuff!!!
Happened across this vid while doing some research for a Jin-Roh costume. I love me some Star Wars, but it never occurred to me the MG-42 makes an appearance in both the universes!
Would you do a DLT19x built??? Or do you think I could modify this one to have a scope to take off and on??
hi having trouble printing in poster. do you know how far apart the holes on the barrel are, great video thanks
Hi, I would like to Know that it was used as the bipod for the mg34 and where you bought it, thanks
How to make original trilogy props:
Take WW2 or Cold War weapons, remove ammunition, duct-tape on a scope, give it some kind of crazy gibberish name.
(seriously, most of the blasters were just real vintage weapons they slightly modified, some of them weren't even modified like the rifle the Jawas used, it was just a cut-down SMLE with a grenade launcher, something you just as easily could have seen in the trenches of WW1.)
Nice creation man good work 10/10 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎
Yes
Hi there, awesome build! My issue is with printing the templates as described. I’ve bought 1 & 1/4 pvc pipe 32mm, but the barrel template is printing too big, the holes don’t line up and that’s printing via pdf in poster actual size? Taped together, the outer barrel template is 19 inch long which I think is right? My confusion increases as the printed greeblies showing sizes in mm are actually printing exactly to size, but the circular end template is about 50mm dia instead of about 32mm and that’s on the same sheet? Any advice would be appreciated.
Absolutely BLYATIFULL
great work bro !!!
What if you want to be able to use the bipod
hi mate do you know anywhere i can
get the barrel printout i dont have a printer
hi there Happy... I started on making this but the outer barrel template (with the holes) don't match up when I wrap it around the 1.25" pipe. I printed in poster option... any thoughts, or am I missing something?.. Edit: I just tried a piece of 1.5" pipe and it's almost a perfect fit.. could the diameter of the pipe be wrong?
Edit:
ok, I may have sorted it. I reprinted in Poster Option but made the Tile Scale 83% instead of 100%.. this is now perfect for the 1.25" pipe.
Excellent work on this thing. I was wondering if there's any chance you might be doing an E-22 at some point (the shoretrooper blaster)?
Hi, how heavy is the final product? I'm going to an event and the weight restriction for a prop gun is 5kg.
You are a real hero
You're a very clever man.
This is pretty awesome
GREAT looking build as always. I'd love to see a build like this for a normal BlasTech E-11 built this way (with wood and PVC) rather than based of the Rubies prop. The plastic conversions just never feel right to me.
Nice job
how do you guys find out what to use for all of these builds, also im assuming these are whats used mostly for the 501st right?
Keep up the good work!
Can u make a part 2 to this to make dlt-19x
So is there a way you can do this in metric? Because imperial is archaic.
How do I make an A280C Blaster Rifle
YES!!!!!!
STG 44
Music/Anime/Nerd 7567
Buy a cheap stg 44 airsoft gun and modify it
Wilson well the a280c is actually a m4 platform while the a295 is a sturmgawehr 44 (stg 44)
Jacob Grant Yeah he propably got his information from battlefront
that was the coolest tutorial I have ever seen could you do Jango fetts blaster?
Needs a trigger. But using the cone bit as a countersink on PVC is brilliant.
This is awesome! Can you make a build like this for the E-11? I know you already made one, but I mean from scratch the DLT-19
You are a master of your craft. Ever thought of doing an EE-3 rifle?
Is there a way to make the bi-pod movable?
Why do you not have more subs?! This is great for beginners.
Aren’t the t-rails in the barrel shroud missing?
That intro was really epic
can u make a T-14 build aka lewis gun for a sandie
I cant find the templates, please help.
Has one of these actually been approved for use in the 501st?
could u do a T-21 or T-21B build i need one for a mandalorian build
*Most* impressive!
How heavy is? As needing to make one for a short film I'm working on but don't want it to be to heavy for my actor
Dude! This is so awesome thank you!
if been waiting for this for a long time
ive been waiting a long time for this moment my little green friend
Great video lovely fininshing
