I think the Blue Yeti isn’t a bad mic, but some tips for using it include getting a wind screen or pop filter, and addressing it at a bit of an angle as opposed to speaking right at it. Doing this will help with it’s very sensitive gain, and will also help with plosives, making your recording sound better.

Agreed. There are definitely some good uses for it. But like I said in the review - if you're buying one now, there are better mics for podcasters at the same price point.
A pop filter is a must if you're sticking with it though - great call out.

Would this mic be good for streaming live bands?

I think its criminal that the price of the yeti hasnt dropped officially yet the only mic it outdo is the new logitech mic that is trying and failing to replace it

As someone who lives in New york and used the yeti as their first gaming and podcast mic and the mic is the worst one to use for both in an untreated room its because it picks up noise from a 6 mile radius

I would absolutely stay away from Blue yeti microphones or logi as they are called today.
They simply don't support the microphones they are not repairable by Logitech. So if you want something that holds up I would go with another brand like Shure, Rode, or Mackie.
Go with a company that repairs their own microphones.

Oh wow I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely confirms my conclusion. There are better mics at the price point.
