Really a pleasure to watch guys go at it slow and save their vehicles. So many of the fools we have in the states can't keep their foot of the floor board. Great video man.
It's in channels like this where I can see the true off roading potencial of utes, unlike those reviews by office clerks driving in normal roads, complaining about hard plastic interiors and how not premium are the interiors. Want a SUV? Go drive it to the cafe.
I love Ranger more than any bakkie, it has got more than any bakkie has, it has speed, power and comfort...the one i have it's 2001 turbo diesel. I trust God will provide me with the latest, i love it.
The tracka on your channel making me keen to do a Victorian trip with my PX. Im jealous of ya diff lock. My XL didnt get one. So its on list. They so capable for a ute
Adventure Australia1 nothing planned at the moment. Currently in New Zealand for work for a month so unable to do anything at the moment. Will give you a heads up when I plan to come up next
Its been asked a few times before but havn't got any plans just at this stage to do a walk-around. Thanks for asking though and if you want to know anything specific send me a PM
@@michaeltoomer4090 Hey mate, sweet set up, did you go +1 offset for the fuel beast wheels? Other than the beads, any dramas with tire poke? or i guess scrubbing for that matter?
@@willkilleen8943 If it helps, I have fuel shok wheels.. 17x9 +0 offset. Wrapped in 285/70r17 (33" diameter). Spare just fits under the car. Tyre poke is minimal with factory flares (I think they are 40mm wide). Tyres are almost in line with the flares to be honest. Minor rub on the mud flap at full lock on occasion. Note I have a Rhino 3D evolution bar so no rubbing on the front of the guard, not sure what would happen with factory bar. Hope that helps 👍
Hey try a set of gladiator x comps next time. Iv got a set on my ute atm and when aired down they are worth a mention. Big side grips and pretty cheaply priced
vevohoeyo I had a look at Gladiator X Comps but they don’t make em in a 16” tyre size. Only 17” and up. Iv upgraded my wheels since this video. Iv changed to a 16” Wheel and thrown some 305/70r16 Toyo Open Country MTs on. Found some parallel imports of them for under 300 per corner which is pretty cheap for a quality tyre.
xXDEFYETXx it’s the smallest rhino platform in the range on Rhino vortex bars with the quick release feet. Also have shovel mount and modified Maxtrax brackets as well.
Hey mate. Just a 2.5” lift, no body lift. Iv got the Rhino bash plates up front, modified PSR bash plate for sump/Diff then Bushskinz for transmission. The light bar is just a cheap LED bar. It’s bright enough for night driving but not bright enough if you know what I mean. I’d like to add a 50” mounted to the roof
Hi mate, love your rig, my Ranger setup is almost identical 👍 Just wondering if you recommend the Rhino light bar, not much info/reviews about it online. Tossing up between that and the Stedi ST4K 22" light bar.
Zandre Vonk the Hilux has been fitted with aftermarket lockers to front and rear. So no it does not perform better in its stock form. Far from it. Just watch my first vid for proof. The hilux struggled big time
Toyota better reliability and off road , the ford driver is a better driver than the person in the Toyota and the ford has more weight in the back end so its an unfair assessment , plus its bias filming as there is more screen time of the ranger

Ray C. Thanks alot. Appreciate the feedback
That sound of the turbo intercooler in the Hilux😍😍
Aussies know the job when it comes to crawling. Clean and subtle driving. Keep it up.
Congrats from an Hilux driver in Brittany.

Francisco d. S thanks alot, I agree there's not many channels devoted to IFS or dual cab utes. Cheers for watching
Dave Whitla thanks mate. In the dry it’s pretty easy.
I love Ford ranger with all my heart, one day God will provide me with...

My respect to both of the trucks. Track was really challenging. Love the enviroment. Beautiful nature.
The dog supervising 😁
The landscape is a beauty. Offroad therapy for sure.
Great shot from ca. 01:10 - following the Ranger up the track, with well chosen music. That truck is darn good.
Great stuff boys. Keep the vids coming 👍
Cheers EVO 😀. Just means I have to go out wheeling more 😂
Defender90 Orkney I think LROR has copywrited the Wooowwws. Il have to come up with something else 😂
Its not about the looks between the trucks its about the quality and how they perform on and off roads I still prefer hilux
The puppy is the real winner
Really enjoy watching your videos , great camera work , very smooth . Keep up the good work 👍
That’s a lot mate. Appreciate the feedback
Good times offroad, looking like an awesome trail. FORD leading the way. Sharp looking truck
littlefarmer32 thanks mate
Some unforgiving trails, and awesome and capable trucks.
I own the 2019 Ford Ranger and it’s a very tough truck.the USA model.
The tracka on your channel making me keen to do a Victorian trip with my PX.

They so capable for a ute
AUDOIN XR6 lots of great places in VIC. Let me know if you ever come down. I head out a lot
Nice one Mike, you're mincing these tracks 👌
Cheers mate. Just needs a triton in there to 🤔 💪
Michael Toomer soon hopefully! You planning a Sydney trip sometime soon ?
Adventure Australia1 nothing planned at the moment. Currently in New Zealand for work for a month so unable to do anything at the moment. Will give you a heads up when I plan to come up next
Michael Toomer yeah easy man good luck over there we'll keep in touch
Hi Michael I really like yr videos , just nice 👍
Très belle vidéo
Good driving
kjs cheers mate
GO the rear flex on the Ranga : - )
Yasss. New video.
cloudman18 thanks man!
What front bumper/bull bar are you running on the ranger?
Can you please tell me what brand the side steps and the rear bumper are on the Ford Wildtrak (APL496), they look awesome.
Nice tracks.
MrHiroboman thanks mate
That's one menacing Ford .. awesome..!!
Looks like that you are in Sagada
Great video! Any chance you guys will be able to do a video on the mods done on the ford ranger?
Its been asked a few times before but havn't got any plans just at this stage to do a walk-around. Thanks for asking though and if you want to know anything specific send me a PM
Do you need to change the ring and pinion, or regear to run 33s on hilux my friend?
Nice drive.
Tiro Oth cheers mate thanks for watching
waaaaaaauuuu ford is the that i like mostttr
Nice Ford
Brabo
Nice video mate. Thank you 👍👍
What wheels did you have on the ranger? They look great!!
These are fuel Beast wheels. Iv since changed them to a 16x8 wheel. Wasn’t happy with these. Suffered to many tyres de beading with this combination

Wicked track, great video bro
Phil Burns thanks mate, glad you like it.
In my opinion, toybota look more rigid in climbing
Rigid is bad? You want it to flex lol
Dry road no problem
Mad vid👍🏾, what exhaust is on the hilux?
Ando its a 3” turbo back straight through exhaust which dumps at the Diff.
Michael Toomer
No muffler / cat converter?
y jk I’m not to sure to be honest. It’s my mates Hilux. I’d have to ask him and get back to you
Con neumáticos normales seria más difícil escalar por ahí sin lodo??
Did the 2012 Hilux come with front lockers? I didn't know that.
Modified
Hei, where is this place?
What rear bar is that ?
El perro supervisionando 🐕🐕🐕
Both do it easy, but Ranger looks like go much more comfortelly for driver.
I assume the ranger also has a lift?
Andrew Rowe it’s got a 2.5” lift. Thanks for watching
are you running a tune or not and what tires u got
Luc Laubscher no tune. Iv got Dick Cepek Extreme Country but Iv since changed them to Toyo Open Country MTs. I wanted a wider more agggressive rubber

Michael what's the offset on the new 16's?
chris blatherwick the new 16s are a 0 offset. Old ones were -12. The new tyres are wider so the poke is pretty much the same as before
Michael Toomer Thanks bud can you show them off a bit in the next vid would like to see the stance and how they flex of course 😂
Hi, what Bullbar are you running?
Hey mate, Its a Rhino Evolution bar
Hi, what Rockslider are you running?
What racks on the rear of the Ranger?
xXDEFYETXx it’s the smallest rhino platform in the range on Rhino vortex bars with the quick release feet. Also have shovel mount and modified Maxtrax brackets as well.
Ford 👍
The ford ranger was 3200 and auto ?
Marios Tzimas yes 3.2L Auto.
automat or mechanikal?
Ярл Григ ford Ranger is Automatic, Hilux is manual
Ford e Ford , não tem prá no ninguém
Vinicius Henrique solo Ford papa
That lux looks as if it's more rigid and uses less effort in the tough stuff.
Rigid isn't a good thing? You want flex
I would take the ford all day
Your mechanic agrees. He likes making money repairing broken cars.
@@JohnSmith-er5ys LOL
Are you using an Osmo or similar for filming?
Bruce Muir I’m using a smooth Q gimble with a Firefly 8s 90 degree action cam.
Michael toomer do you have a 2 inch body lift
Also are you using the rhino bash plates and are you using the rhino light bar as well
What is the brand of light bar and how well does it work at night
Hey mate. Just a 2.5” lift, no body lift.

Mike Lunt cheers mate. It’s on my future mod list. I keep telling my missus after each accessory that Its done 😂
I thought the hilux only comes with rear diff locker
Hilux came with no diff locker. They were installed aftermarket. The new Hilux’s come with rear only
Michael Toomer nice mate are front lockers expensive to buy and install
Hi mate, love your rig, my Ranger setup is almost identical 👍

Hangia
I like that ford but daymmmm that old horse Toyota just walk through that hill like nothing 😍😍
Front and rear lockers with less weight
13018
Not flooring just let it crawl not like russian and thailand/malaysian always flooring.
Ford Ranger is the best!
a lot of toyota fangirl crybabies over this comment section
Always the Hilux!
Lol is it just me or does a bottomrange 2012 hilux perform better than a top of the range 2017 ranger wildtrack
Zandre Vonk the Hilux has been fitted with aftermarket lockers to front and rear. So no it does not perform better in its stock form. Far from it. Just watch my first vid for proof. The hilux struggled big time
Michael Toomer oooh ok when are you going to upgrade your ranger
Zandre Vonk probably next year due to the cost 👍. Need to look forward to something 😂
Haha yeh well I wish you the best
@@michaeltoomer4090 Your Ford will break soon if you keep doing that!

I know right. this UA-camr in the comment section in just bias towards the ranger.
Toyota Hilux es mejor
