The sell one like this changed everything. I do it on mobile, take the pic right there, and post. Doesn’t take but a minute.
For sure. Definitely an easy way to list! Thanks for watching!
and if you have 1500 cards to list?
Bro… this video just saved my sanity 😅 SOOOO much time being saved, hated how tedious the process was, but the sell one like this feature is exactly what the dr ordered! Appreciate ya
Awesome! Glad it helped, good luck!
Nice process. Thx for sharing.
With so many listings do you notice you have a lot of listings with zero views?
I do unfortunately but it varies. eBay started showing views for the last 30 days only…sometimes an item gets 0 views, sometimes more…this is where the volatile part of the business comes in. I know some sellers who take down their listings if they don’t get any sales or views after a while. I thought about doing this sometimes, but then I randomly sell a base card or insert that previously had no views… so sometimes you just never know. Plus, as your store grows, there’s higher potential for more views on certain cards and players as you gain a better following. I’m at about 1500 listings now. As I get closer to the next store subscription on eBay, which is at 10,000 listings, I think, I would probably be more selective about taking down listings that aren’t selling if I didn’t wanna move to the next priced tier. But ultimately, I’d say, don’t let the fact that you have no views scare you. What doesn’t sell today can always sell tomorrow in this market. Thanks for watching!
@@CardZooSportsCards thanks for the info video. Do you think it will be wise for those cards that are not selling for a long time just change them to a bid starting at .99 cents ?
@@creyesjr1975 That's where it can get a little tricky. Recently I've had some cards listed at a starting bid of $0.85 and I've had to relist a few times before some eventually sold (some still haven't). I've kind of shifted my strategy lately to list 15-20 cards per month as an auction-style listing (i'm listing others at buy it now as well), and probably 90% of those are at a starting bid of $0.85. BUT, most are cards I know people will buy. Unfortunately, $0.99 with free shipping won't even sell less sought after cards sometimes. It's a mix of a good pricing strategy and knowing what cards to sell at a low price and when (and why...just to unload inventory? Increase store traffic?). Good luck!
Great common sense approach. I am following the same process as you and used Kronocard before. CDP is not available for Canadians. Like CDP, Kronocard is not fully automatic and requires many manual steps. The only reason I would use Kronocard is if the scan was 100% captured, but that's not the case as you said with CDP. Especially for hockey, there are variables with Kronocard from perhaps only just the name being captured to some lines being 80% completed. Then you still have to search pricing but Kronocard has a great drop down to search all the marketplaces individually like eBay - which does bring up a new browser to search it. With your method, you're already there at eBay to see the list of cards you chose to copy from.
Lastly, is there is a program (perhaps Google Lens?) that can read the card image text, I could save a few seconds by pasting it into the eBay card search? Thanks for your video!
For sure. Thanks for watching. I could see myself trying Kronocard at some point but it’s so expensive..I’d have to really be increasing volume if I was gonna do it. Will stick with the eBay method for now. You could try chatGPT for getting the text from the image. Did a video on how to use it for sourcing ua-cam.com/video/9_mjONeqWgQ/v-deo.htmlsi=-63XTrMiVRC8_KZZ Not sure it would be quicker though because you’d still have to upload the file and copy the text. Thanks for the comment!
@@CardZooSportsCards Thanks for your reply, and video link. I got the Epson ES-400 II yesterday. Top loaders work, but only one or two at a time, and I have to manually feed them and hold the button down. Penny sleeves run smoothly but occasionally double up. Using your method, I'm down to 3 minutes per card just using my Brother scanner and Kronocard free software to auto crop the cards. I used to do 20 cards (10-15 min per card) in many hours, but now I'm down to one hour. However, with the new scanner it looks like it'll be just over 2 minutes per card, which will be a 500% listing improvement. Thanks again!
Mobile is easy now. If I have like items I prefer a template and change just a few things. Now under $20 I do 1.25 shipping over or slabs is 5.25 s&h
Nice. Yeah it’s cool on mobile..as long as you have the pics you can list from anywhere! Happy collecting!
That's a great idea ! I do something similar plus I use the AI for description, it saves a lot of time !
Nice! Haven’t used that yet but I should give it a try. Thanks for watching.
Same way we do it for our store as well. Great way.
@@The_Main_Collector that’s good to know. I’ve tried card dealer pro multiple times, both for testing/research purposes and to see if it could actually work, and every time I land on getting so frustrated with it because half the cards don’t match, they don’t match correctly when they do, etc. if you don’t mind me asking, how much volume do you do via listings using the method I described in my video?
New sub. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the sub!
I have inherited a collection of baseball cards from the 70's, 80's & 90's. Plan on opening a store, and liquidating the collection 1 card at a time. This could add to my retirement LOL
Nice. Have fun with it and good luck!
Does this scanner ever leave lines on the cards? Have seen people complain about other scanners doing that? Do you need to make any adjustments to the scanner like removing track wheels, etc? Awesome video as always...thanks!
It definitely can. I've scanned with and without the penny sleeves and it can leave lines in some cases. I did a video on how you can avoid this to some extent ua-cam.com/video/giHTKip8oEE/v-deo.html. I'm not sure about other scanners...once I'm ready to upgrade this one will probably look into a Ricoh...but thats a couple years away. JMac Sports Cards did a video on how to setup the Epson and remove the one wheel piece ua-cam.com/video/P7fvqTtR3_k/v-deo.html. Haven't done my own video yet because his was so good. Overall, I wouldn't let the lines deter you from purchase, but checking a few other options wouldn't hurt. At the end of the day, these scanners weren't built to have parts removed and still work as intended...so some issues are expected. Despite the need for consistent cleaning/rescans sometimes, it works great and the photo quality is exceptional. If you go a different route than the Epson let me know! Good luck.
Wow great content just subbed! How did I not know this SMH! I pretty much only use the eBay app on my phone. Will this method work from there using the “Have one to sell” method? Thanks so much
Hey thanks for the sub! Unfortunately, I'm not seeing the option to do this method from the mobile phone unfortunately. Maybe it will be added in an update in the future:). Good luck!
@@CardZooSportsCards thanks for checking I did not see it either. I find it easier to add pics from phone. But I think once I have a draft on PC I can then access it from eBay app. Stay well !
I use this same method for one offs but prefer CDP for my day-day. I list 50 per day so it’s easier for me to do the same task repeatedly before moving to the next one (ie: All titles, then pricing).
Nice! Do you find many errors in the matches when uploading to CDP? That was one of the things that happened when i used it…didn’t check every match manually and it matched some cards to the wrong player. Good luck!
Can this scanner scan multiple cards at once? And I missed in the video if it does both front and back at same time. Also best computer operating system…… currently working off of a Chromebook that I have to email my photos to self then download 🤦♀️
Hey thanks for the question. Do you mean like a flatbed scanner? If so, no, it can only scan one card at a time...but you can load multiple cards in the feeder and press the scan button and it will scan through each card with one press of the scan button if that's what you are asking. It does do both sides as well. I'm not familiar with what capabilities a Chromebook has but I would make sure to check the compatibility before you buy any scanner to make sure it's compatible with your laptop. Hope this helps!
Interesting so you prefer to scan, that is a huge time saver. I subscribed and will go back and watch your videos.
Thanks for the view and sub!
I saw one of my listings come up 😆
Ha! Nice
My biggest problem is what to do with all my base cards, I usually throw them away
I’d say most people probably do. I take a bunch of cards to goodwill every now and then. Sometimes I’ll list the base cards as a variation listing but unless you do that shortly after product release, you miss the prime selling time for those when people are set building. Some people group them with lots that they sell. But for the most part, they aren’t worth much depending on the player.
This is way longer dude
Just take a pic on your phone
@@kempersportscards8341 I used to use the phone and a lightbox. The scanner has much better quality photos than phone pics. Better photo = better chance of selling.
Thank you. I just bought a scanner and agree with all you said.
Nice, good luck!
I do a combination of manual and CDP. I pretty much know what cards I want to sell at one price and will bulk list those, but I will manually list more expensive cards or things like Star Wars.
Nice. I've changed up my listing methods a bit the past few weeks while trying some new things. There seems to be a general consensus for sellers trying to "scale" that use a tool like CDP for as much as they can, and manual for the rest. Thanks for watching!
I like to scan first then go back and list.
@@jmsportscards1046 nice. I do that a lot too. My office is upstairs and sometimes at night I like to chill downstairs and watch tv so I’ll scan a bunch in in my office so I can list with just my laptop since my scanners in the office.
What scanner do you use?
I use the Epson ES 400-II. You can get it on Amazon. It’s a good little scanner. After decent use, you might have white lines in some of the photos, but you can usually negate with some regular cleaning and turning cards around to scan a different way.
Dude amazing vid. Subbed! I'm sitting on tons of cards and new to selling. Thanks for info.
Glad the info helped! Good luck on the selling journey! Hit me with any questions along the way.
Thanks so much!! Can you scan cards in top loaders with the Epson ES 400 II?
You’re welcome! As long as you remove the little wheel inside then yes you can! One thing I’ve noticed though is that I feel like the mirrors/wheels inside get more scratches on them with the more top loaders that I scan… Probably because it is a tighter fit and because they are a tougher material than just the card and penny sleeve, but yes, it will work! Thanks for watching!
