    Dude, you have changed my view completely on this game. There’s so many moving parts, me playing for the past year I have not caught on naturally to so many things. Controlling waves mostly. My mechanics are generally good so now that I am understanding macro, I have gone from silver to gold in the past two weeks. Just wanna say thanks brother! Your analysis is spectacular.

    Guys for some reason in the rendering process the 1v1 got removed... There was a whole other section showing a 1v1 I played to highlight some of the key points from the video. So confused sorry about that..

      @Coach Curtis would you be able do do a video on rumble? Strengths and weaknesses of the champ? The reverse engineering analogy was pretty interesting, would love to have your take on that champion specifically, as it seems so diverse in terms of role within a team, i play him mid tho, and would like to see your content directed to that position.

    This is exactly what I needed. I''ve been an adc main for 6 seasons, and I've always ended in gold 1, never made it to platinum. I decided to change lane this season, not because I don't like adc but because it's a lane where you have to rely on someone most of the times. I find midlane to be the hardest lane ever due to all the macro game it involves, but it's the one I want to try because I want to learn the gamae properly. Thankks!!!

Can you make a video where you cover all the midlane champions conditions that they are looking for? just something short and sweet as a reference would be awesome to have when playing and laning against said champs. One thing I might suggest, is your videos are obviously aimed at lower ELO players and newer players. I've played for 3 weeks now and am about to start my placements. I feel your videos are going to help with strategy a lot, but when you go into tactics (like defining the syndra matchup) you refer to abilities by Q and E but don't describe what they do. It would be helpful if when you're describing these tactical and individual matchups to, when you're introducing a new ability, briefly describe what it does. I personally haven't played most Midlaners besides Diana so I'm not sure which buttons champion's abilities are.
      Not like a very long rant into a move, just a brief descriptor sentence. Like "Dianas W, the 3 orb shield, is great for early trades..."
      Love your videos and will continue to watch in order to improve.

    • @CoachCurtis

    Something that i allways try to keep in my mind is the pure time based experience. For example if i learn a new champion or a new mechanic and i mess up and fail hard... you could become very angry about it but if you think about it... its totally fine. Did you really expect to pop off with something you re "practicing" right now? Alot of the times you even need to put yourself into bad positions on purpose just to see what you can and cannot do, if you dont do things you could potentially fail with and only do things you re allready able to do... how do you expect on improving. And now lets think back to time based experience. You see this pro player on your champion completly dominating and you simply cannot do it. At this point keep in mind that yes, you might have 100 or 200 games on this champion and maybe like 2000 games total BUT, this pro player probably has more like 1000 games on this champion worth of experience and more like 20000-30000 of total games played over the years... and now you look on your 100/2000 games and ... do you really expect to be able to do what this guy does while he spend like 10 20 30 times the amount of time in game than you did? Thats like expecting you start playing the guitar tomorrow and in a year or so you re just as good as this guy playing it for 20 years... thats just completely delusional. its totally okay to suck, if you realize what you can improve on because solo q is about your journey and your timeline and not a comparison to what a pro players journey looks like. You should more likely start to compare it to the people you actually play with and against. Take cs for example, i suck at csing, but you know what? EVERYONE does in my games. i cant take a pro players perspective as a guideline where every person understands wave management and expect to have 220cs at minute 20. i know there is allways improvement but the most important thing is the correlation to the people in your games. If you only have 120cs in minute 20 in your specific game and elo...but your opponent laner only has 100... thats completly fine, know there is improvement but dont compare stuff that happens in pro play or very high elo to what happens in lets say gold elo. If you would get 220cs in minute 20 every game and people understand wave management and all that... you wouldnt be on your current rating to begin with. Every bit of information is vital but can translate over slightly different to different elo brackets.

    • @CoachCurtis
      @CoachCurtis  4 роки тому +1

      100% people's expectations of their gameplay is so high, it's all about incremental improvements. Exactly like going to the gym, you don't become a body builder over night

    Hey Curtis would you be able to do an annie guide i find there is so many different items and runes you can run on her just trying to figure out whats the best for climbing in low elo

    • @CoachCurtis
      @CoachCurtis  4 роки тому +1

      I probably won't do an annie guide for a while. But to help you out for the short term.
      You have 2 main options
      1) predator for reliable Combos/roams/ ease of access to fights (But at the sacrifice of less damage)
      2)electro/comet for more damage either of these work. Electro is better in extended trades , comet is better for short poke.
      Items I've found protobelt to be really good on annie because it helps you close the gap and adds to your burst.

      @@CoachCurtis do you have any videos on recall timings? and how to sidelane after that 15min mark

    • @CoachCurtis
      @CoachCurtis  4 роки тому +1

      @@LifeWisdomTV I have a video on mid game macro that may help you, it talks a bit about side laning. But most of my videos do cover post 15 mins. Recall timings is very dependent on the champion you are playing and what they are trying to achieve

    Could you do some more off meta champ videos? like nocturne? Found hes really good into bursty mages but would like to know if theres any other matchups hes good into. Also your videos are really helpful so keep up the great work!

      I've done a nocturne vid in the past, but I'm thinking of actually doing Sylas next would that be something that interests you?

    • @truffs-m6d
      @truffs-m6d 4 роки тому

      Coach Curtis Yeah, I'm not great with all in champs like Sylas, I normally play control mages (Like Orianna) and my only counter pick atm is Nocturne, So id love to see how I can get better at Sylas :)

    • @rustyrust9689

      Coach Curtis that nocturne video was actually how I found your channel. There’s not nearly as much content on him as with bread and butter mid laners

    Hey this isn't relevant but I'm trying to pick up azir for my champion pool as I really like his playstyle and I don't mind sinking in the time to get the hang of him is he good for climbing? Or is he more of a cliche pick

    • @CoachCurtis
      @CoachCurtis  4 роки тому

      Azir is more of a competitive/niche pick. He comes in and out of the meta but has never really been too strong in soloq due to his reliance on items and scaling so he can't impact the map too much

    This is where the game gets complicated and you have to think about a lot of things ... wait what ? Wasnt league about getting the jgler or not ?? Great guide as always, but i dont seem to improve , my laning phases are so much better now that i can match an actual smurf and beat him, not even joking but my teams ... always inting, didnt have a winning botlane in a decade ...

    On victor idk if that’s you playing but you seem to never use Q to farm , you missed in a insane amount without using q

    • @CoachCurtis
      @CoachCurtis  4 роки тому

      haha yeah my CSing wasnt too great that game. Although you should very very rarely use Q's to CS, since Viktor already has early game mana problems and you want to be spending your mana on E's on the enemy to proc manaflow, and ration out your mana so you can survive to first hexcore upgrade, and ideally have enough mana to R the wave for a recal if need be.
