  • I introduced my first five accessories and upgrades for my new Yamaha Tenere 700 in a previous video that provided a brief overview of each item. In this epsiode, I go through selection and installation details for my new handguard kit for the T7 from Tusk.

I read a lot of positive reviews about the Tusk D-Flex Pro Handguards on the Yamaha Tenere 700 and so decided to make the purchase. Other handguards from some major brands (like Barkbuster) are apparently not as robust and folks in the forums did not have a good time with them. So I headed over to Rocky Mountain ATV & MC and picked up the Tusk Kit. It came with everything I needed and install was straightforward. Just requiring a little bit of bending to customize the aluminum handguard bars to the Tenere 700 handlebar configuration.
Overall I am very happy with how the handguards look and feel and think they will prove quite robust when I inevitably lay this bike down.
    Thanks for watching!

    Great video!
Super helpful for selecting handguards for my Tenere! I have a unique speedo offset plate, so I will need to modify the handguards in the same way you did to give myself a little extra clearance!
    D-Flex Pros ordered!

Did you find any difference in riding the bike with weights off?

@@AdventureTomek Only a very minor increase in vibration on the highway at certain speeds, but nothing that would cause any numbness or issues over long days. Stability is still very good, and the feel is about the same with the D-Flex Pros.
