In this video, you'll learn how to install the highly acclaimed Oxford Heaterz Premium Adventure Heated Grips on your Yamaha Tenere 700 motorcycle. I've installed these grips on all of my adventure bikes over the years, and I truly believe they are some of the best heated grips on the market. In this video, I provide step-by-step instructions that show how I installed these heated grips on my Yamaha Tenere 700 and now enjoy the comfort and warmth they provide during chilly rides. The overall installation process is straightforward and easy, which should only take a couple of hours.
Additionally, this video explains how you can easily utilize the factory accessory power socket to power the Oxford Heaterz grips, making the installation process even simpler. Yamaha provides a 10 AMP OEM connection to bike power (switched with the key) under the right side fairing panel. The connector is a Sumitomo 3-PIN MT-090 connector. You can pick these up at Cycle Terminal (or other motorcycle electronics store). You can also cut off the factory connector and wire in a more generic waterproof connector. Or, bypass the factory wiring all-together and wire up direct to the battery (note: direct battery connections are not switched, and while the Oxford grips have a low voltage shut-off - I don't know if I would completely trust it with my bike battery's well-being).
