- Calla lily is a magnificent flower with a very unique shape. In zones 9 and 10, they act like a perennial, you plant them once and they keep blooming year after year. In colder zones, you need to plant them every year.

❤ I love calla lilies. Yours are beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
I have so many callas in my garden. They will bloom on March. They grow very well here. I leave the bulbs in the ground. I also take some out to put in different areas.
Wonderful. They are old faithful for me.
They are green now . Enjoying the sun...
@Irit Liberman mine are green too, enjoying the rains
We had some rain yesterday. I wish I could send you some pictures of my garden. I like this time of the year.
@@iritliberman8499 that would have been great
Great advice thank you!!!!!
Awesome
Love Callas, and the whites grow well in my backyard, but I have never had success growing the colored ones for more than one season. Any special tips on how to get those to come back every year? I live in Northern California
Do they not bloom? Mine purple ones bloom every year but they don't multiply that fast
@@EasyPeasyGardening they have not come back - maybe I should buy some and try again.
@@GreenLove1 so either the bulbs rotted away or gophers ate them. In either case, if they don't even get the foliage, you may want to buy new bulbs.
In north country you must take them out of soil and dry and replant in spring, you can awake them early-ish in the pot.
@@ritaalaga3718 yes, if the ground freezes in winters, you must dig up the bulbs
I grow them in zone 7a (Czechia, near Prague) very hardy.
Awesome!
Would you think of collecting seeds from the blooms, please?
No. Lilies take many years to bloom if started from seeds. It's best to divide the bulbs and they multiply fast
hello maam can i leave my calla lily in the soil without digging up the bulb ?
Depends on your zone
I enjoyed your video. I have Calla lilies, and they are starting to die back now at the beginning of July. I live in zone nine in Northern California. I am wondering if I should chop them down now that they are all flat or should I wait until all the leaves have died completely and turned brown before I remove them?
Once the leaves turn yellow, you can prune them
Im in zone 10, how long should bloom last before turning brown? My leaves are still green.maybe too much sun?
Each bloom lasts about 2 weeks. May be transplant them in partial sun this summer
If I keep them indoors, will it survive all year without dying ???
It can, near a bright window
What do you do when the are very tall and dying back? Ism in zone9
Wait till they are almost yellow and then prune them to the ground. They will sprout back in fall
Can they be in full sun?
Since they bloom in late winters, they can be in full sun because sun is not that harsh and for less duration
We don't have zones in Uk
So how do people find out what they can grow and what not
No they not coming in different colours, that in colour is different name. Pleas don't give falsh information 😮
Let me research. I see all different colors sold in the market with the same name.
Lots of colours available ❤x
