Finally, a video of not only talking about how to care for your Canna Lily but actually showing how to cut, where to cut, how to get to, and replant the rhizone. Excellent job. Thank you
I search on internet almost every week finding out how to take care of my plants properly. I buy 2 Cannas for the first time and after saw lots and lots of videos this is the best explanation ever! Not only from Cannas but everything I found out on internet. No one have this demonstration level, most professionals show you some parts and the another ones they told you what you have to do, but actually don't teach you with examples. Congratulations! You made me feel very confident about my Cannas care.
Thank you. Very good explanation!!
That is fantastic feedback, and congratulations because you speak English literally too well for it to be believable as your first language. I kid you not that's how I know that English isn't your first language, it's because you do it too well 😅. If English was your first language you would butcher it 🤣
@@michaelwhittman1956 Thank you! I am just having my breakfast before work and you make me smile! English is not my first language at all, I learned a bit at high school and it's all. Nowadays I don't even remember almost anything about grammar 😅.
Have a nice day!
Best explanations. I am impressed by the knowledge this young man has. A real asset for youe nursery!
Ciertamente!! 👍👌👏
looks like he is going to take over the family business. Great job
He’s clearly very knowledgeable and his presentation is clear and precise. He’s well spoken and confident and makes me believe I can do this 😊
i watched this last month and was scared as heck to cut my canna lily down, but i did it and now it’s sprouting again!!!! thank you so much for this vid!
You can trust us when it comes to Canna Lilies! Keep it up!
I had no idea what this plant is called
You’re such a good gardener young man , i admire the way how you explained, good luck to all the gardeners and think positive
This is the best straight-forward video about Cannas. Thank you!
Agreed
Agree!
Awesome explanation, very detailed and clear. I love seeing how knowledgeable this young man is regarding plants. Thanks so much!
yes, I agree ....he talks love about them... it was a great video!
I Cannot believe you cut a Tropicanna all the way down like that and it grows fully back 😯 plants never cease to amaze me
Mother earth is a survivor!
Yea that did hurt 😞 but 😅 no harm done
Best Canna video on UA-cam BY FAR! So much useful info. Love how you discuss care for both indoor and outdoor so hard to find videos like that!!! Only thing i wish was there was MORE VIDEOS to watch lol. I subbed and turned on notifications! Thanks for amazing content ❤️❤️
My neighbor's sister gifted me with one of her Cannas from her property.
I HOPE mine survives. We've had HORRIBLE blight here, just notth of Washington, DC.
Unfortunately, My Canna gift was blighted when I received it. I've done all I know to do to save it. 😢
I'm So hoping it survives!
Excellent presentation...
VERY INFORMATIVE!
Many thanks, from Maryland!
Thank you. First video out of dozens that actually clearly showed how to trim back the spent rods. 💖
Amazing how you capture everything people need to know about growing and caring Canna in 8 minutes. Plus, you're fun to watch. 👍👍
GREAT video, really appreciate you actually showing each part rather than just talking about it!
Awesome presentation. Very easy to understand and follow along. He was very thorough, from caring, to storing for winter and then replanting in Spring!
I am so excited! I found a whole bunch of these beautiful plants for six dollars at a garden center near me. I just picked them up because I thought the foliage was cool looking and I didn’t even realize they’re going to have these big beautiful flowers. It was already a steal at six dollars, but now for six dollars I can have them here after year! I can’t wait to see them come up every summer! Thanks for this great information! 😍🌺
This kid makes good videos. Great information
Smh
Why “smh”? Lol
Thank you so much! I've had my potted canna for about 2 months now. The pretty orange flower died quickly and the edges of the leaves have turned browned. I definitely wasnt watering it enough (I thought I was over-watering) and I thought maybe it was sun burned. I gasped when you cut it all the way down, lol, but this is the most thorough explanation I've seen yet. Thanks again!
This is so amazing. Exactly what I didn’t know I needed! Thanks Wyatt and Co!
I have enjoyed watching this tutorial on Cannas with Wyatt I like his style!!
I shared this video with my kids. It is so complete. Thank you for the wonderful information and instructions. You rock.
thanks Wyatt for a very thorough and well-explained video! canna lilies are beautiful!
Great insights and guidance, Excelsa Gardens! Thank you for this content. Looking forward to starting my cannas in the greenhouse this year.
Excellent prescription, easy to understand, enough details all the information we need great job young man looking forward for more videos from you
Just got myself the Durban version. This video was great in explaining the care and it was just what I was looking for thank you!
A big thanks from the UK! Really impressed with this advice...this chap deserves a promotion!!
I’m so impressed by him. He was so clear and to the point. Excellent presentation.
I was amazed while driving through North Carolina how they used canna's as massive plantings between the interstate lanes... they were absolutely
amazing! The mild winter climate allows them to never have to dig them..... lucky them :)
Waow! this young man just explained everything I need to know about my plants in such a gracefully and eloquent manner. Thanks
I have been growing cannas for three years. I leave them in the ground in fall/winter. I fertilize them and they grow and bloom beautifully. I have five different colors. They all are breathtaking. I use Neem oil to keep Japanese Beetles from destroying the flowers. It works great. When I want to share with family, I carefully dig up a chute/bulb-like in am or dusk and transport it to the new home. Lots of water that first year. I wish I could post pics. I even sent a few chutes to a dear friend through the mail. We now have duel 8ft tall yellow 💛 cannas. So easy to love and grow.
Excellent video, love how you go that extra step of showing and dealing with the Rhizomes 👌🧡
I agree, it’s so much better to see it be done than hearing how it’s done.
I feel more confident when I see what I am supposed to do.
Exactly, I never plant any because it seems complicated, but his instruction makes it seems easy, now I will not hesitate to buy some, good job young man
I was thinking how to treat my canna lily with for now and during the cold season. That was so clear explanation. Thank you young man.
Gopi

No frills and easy to understand! Awesome video.
Awesome video. Instructions are clear. Told me everything I needed to know about caring for my cannas. Thanks!
That was a great demonstration Wyatt, spot on.
I love cannas!❤I plant them every year and store them inside every fall as we have harsh winters here in IN and this is the best info video about cannas by far! Good job young man!👍 Never saw a young man so knowledgeable about cannas before!😊 I wish my kids would be so interested in how to care for plants!🙂
Hands down THE BEST how to video on Canna Lillies I’ve ever watched!! Well done fine sir!
Awesome video!!! Thank you I’m really hoping mine will make it through winter in my basement. This is my first year having them and I’m in love!
you presented the huge amount of information on canna lilies so preceivly and I was able to understand. Well done. Amazing presentation so much useful information
Great and complete explanation, you answered all the questions I had about this plant, thank you.
Best video I've come across for Cannas. Well presented, thank you so much!
I found your video when I searched “ what’s that worm on my canna Lillie’s”? I’m in Florida, so they grow year round and there is no need to dig them up. I appreciated the pruning part of the video. I didn’t know I could cut them back that far. They have been looking sooo much better now. Thank you!
Wow! Great video. I didn’t know anything about Canas. I’ve got few but they just survive somehow themselves. Now I won’t afraid to get more of those and have a better care for them . Thank you!
Thank you. Great job explaining and covering all there's about canas
Love your simple direct instructions. Thank you
Excellent coverage. Thanks!
Great information. Wyatt I’m impressed with your confidence and expertise. You’re darling.
Impressive fella. I just watched another video on the subject and this young man's video is the clear winner!
This is awesome…. you gave details for every step. Thank you for that.
Great video, thanks for such clear explanations and visuals!
Really thorough explanation. Love that!
Great info! This is My first year growing Cannalilies plants. Thank you for the tips on where to place them and watering requirements. I am hoping by August they will be flowering. Thank you again!
Excellent, detailed information with lots of how to-- thank you! I live in Zone 7 with heavy winters, so I keep my canna lilies in a big pot, and take the whole pot down to a dark room in our basement every winter. It comes back like a pro every late spring with very little fuss. I have noted that they like acidic soil, so I occasionally add some coffee grounds when I'm adding fertilizer, but it really doesn't take much to grow these beauties. Thanks to you, I'm going to confidently dig up and separate my cannas this fall because they're beginning to crowd a bit in the pot. Again, well done!
Thanks for the information. I have to cut off all the stalk because all the plants have been damaged from the tornado on Tuesday. Now I feel comfortable cutting them, and hope they are going to bloom again before fall. Great tutorial thanks.
Great video! I now feel confident and now understand how to "overwinter". Your visual demonstration helps. Thank you from Pa.
My mom, who lives down South, gave me a couple of these from her garden. I live in Illinois as was so hoping I could cut them back and leave them in the ground for the winter. I’m so glad I watched this video. Thank you!
Thank you young man . You know your stuff!😃
I bought my first Canna 2 months ago and it has 4 separate root shoots, most of the blooms are gone, I live in sw ohio, and it is wonderful to see fast growth and easy to care for...thanks for the video
Been watching buch of videos about cannas and by far your video is one of the best! I just couldn't believe how you chopped down that canna to the root😱I was terrified 😱but watched it over and over like a horror movie 🤣 thanks for the detailed explanation and demonstration. Was very helpful. Hopefully I've learned enough to care for my new cannas.😁
Thank you very thorough in explaining the care of and storage for canas- I appreciate it as a beginner.
Here in zone 6 Pennsylvania, I have had good luck with container-grown cannas. When nighttime temps approach 50 degrees, i cut my cannas back to a few inches above soil level and bring the whole container into the basement, where the whole pot sits until nighttime temps are consistently around 50 degrees outside. I water them very lightly during their rest and send them out again when nighttime temps are consistently at 50 or above, water and fertilize and Boom! off they go. Same with dahlias, except I let Jack Frost knock them down a bit and then follow the canna storage protocol. Works well for me.
I'm in Ohio and I do same minus watering the container over winter!
Wonderful video. So informative and straightforward! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the video! It was extremedly well presented, easy for someone like me to learn and follow. Thank you!!!
Wonderful Wyatt thanks so much
The best video I've found on Canna care. Thank you!
I'm glad to see this video. Glad to know they can planted in the pots
Wow. Excellent! Thank you from Minnesota ☺️
Great job. This is the best video with useful information for growing canna.
I do just what was shown on your video....but I start my in early February in pots inside the house....then after the last frost is over...around Mother's Day here in Columbus Ohio...I put them in big clay pots and place around my backyard garden...and theey grow and flower like mad.. love your video.....
Donald , how big are you pots please
Excellent video...very informative....I like the hands on demonstrations
I'm watching from the countryside near Paris, France. This video is very helpful and timely. This year since early Spring we've had numerous heat waves and droughts and despite loving care our gardens have suffered tremendously. My cannas have been real troopers and have bloomed beautifully but I can see that they've already done their best and it's not even the end of August. It's too soon to bring them in so your video on how to cut back the spent rods is very helpful. I'll be able to enjoy their folliage until early November. I'll follow yr excellent and explicite instructions for overWintering them.
I've just subbed
Excellent explanation, myself simply love it. Keep up with the good work. You nailed!
Thank you for the demonstration. Very informative.
Thank you very much Sir. Great info that I will be utilizing for years to come.
I don't want to repeat what everyone else has been saying but truth it truth, this is the best video on the internet about this subject and you are a sharp and very helpful young man.
The best video ever! So much information! Thank you!
Very nice Wyatt. thks for your video
Great video on canna care. Great tropical plant for northern landscapes.
Very clear instructions - a charming young man!
Awesome 🤩 thank you 🤩 one of the best vids out there on how to look after canna’s in pots. Choice ! :)
I loved the video btw. I learned and shared it with my daughter. Great teacher.
Thank you ❤️ for this information.
I have those orange... actually the yellow and orange Canna Lillies growing in a tight space brick garden bed. I can see that they really do need space so I decided to move them I've been digging into the ground around my front yard to plant them there so they can grow properly and have the space and fresh ground dirt.
Totally impressed by this young man.
Exactly what I needed! Thanks Wyatt!
LOVE this video. Very well presented.
Awesome video. Learned a lot from this young man.
Great job explaining 👍🏾
Thank you, I love my canna lily and this is such a great tutorial!

Great tips how to grow plants. Thanks for sharing your videos. Keep safe always. Greetings from Vancouver.
Much appreciation for your helpful video. I planed my African Canna in memory of father who passed 4 months ago. I had zero experience in gardening. She was tiny. Now she's huge with lillies. Every neighbor and their mama ask me about it and throw compliments. Embarrassing cuz I have zero experience and didn't know the name of it.😂 Your video gave me all the confidence esp fall and cold weather are approaching. So big thank you chief!
Thank you!! Simple and easy I have my canna looking beautiful and blooming all the time..!! in TX..
Good explanation thank you Wyatt!
Thank you for the real wonderful information delivered beautifully. How I wish your place was close by so that I could have bought many plants.
on-line you can find a lovely purveyor of an incredible assortment of cannas and also brugmansia. i won't name it here. alice is wonderful and will carefully pack and mail them. trust me, they will thrive. i think it might not be too late in the season for this year, but contact her and ask. i recommend you call her as the mail link has experienced problems.
Excellent video!
Straight to the point. Awesome 👌
He gave a Great explanation video , very pleasant voice i can listen to him for hours too bad there are no more videos by him. I Learned a lot .
