I just watched your video. Nicely done. I had always cut the leaves on my plants before drying the corms so leaving them on was a new idea for me. I will try that this year. What planting zone are you in? I’m in zone 7 so winter isn’t too harsh but it can be cold.
Help!!! 😮 My son bought me a beautiful purple-like colored calla lily plant for mother's day. It is in a pot and had about 8 flowers blooming. The flowers are now dead so I watched a video that showed me how to prune them... But I'm nervous. Should I leave it in the same pot after pruning? How do I know if the pot is too small? I live in Arizona so I think planting it outside would be a bad idea but several videos show people putting them in gardens. How do I know if I should change the soil? How do I know if I'm watering her too much (I named her Iris). It's super dry here so I've been giving her like 1/4 to 1 /2 cup a day to every other day but longer and I think the soil feels too dry. Is that right? I really want to see Iris bloom again so I apologize for all the questions. Calls lilies have always been my favorite flower. My mom pitched a fit when she paid $12/flower for my wedding and I had 8 white long stems and each of my 8 bridesmaids had 5 along with 2 huge arrangements, lol. It was beautiful. They were the best part of my decorations. Anyway, this plant means a lot to me. I'd always said to The Husband and sons to never give me flowers since they'll just die but for our 15th anniversary I woke up to a beautiful calla lily arrangement and I've been in love with fresh flowers since then. Can someone, anyone help me learn to care for my plant? I have a black thumb, but I'm really trying. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Maryland 7b, perennials here & bloom in July, have never fertilized
I don’t water regularly, I don’t fertilize, sometimes I go weeks without watering and my lilies thrive. They grow tall and bushy with big blooms
