I'm so glad I came across this channel lol. I remember going flat to it in my ohio in a push and didnt even notice it until it died to my secondaries (obviously with some help) and i promised myself I would never play that line. You have to be a masochist to play this thing, but if youre a guy playing cruisers in solo random queue, you're probably already there huh?
Interestingly, San Martin's overall stats in the game are actually quite good: 6th-highest win-rate, 5th-highest experience/game, 8th-highest kills/deaths. Average damage is very bad, as you say, but maybe just staying alive and chain-radaring are stronger than we suspect? It's played less than Yodo or Plymouth, though!
might also be that poor players usually abandon it when they see themselves do 10k damage before getting one healed because they couldnt farm up the F key
combination of 1) only masochistic cruiser players with above average skill play it and 2) if a bot plays it they can make a mistake many times per game before dying so they grief their team slightly less
I actually enjoy the San Martin - in CBs this thing is a cockroach, absolutely disgusting - in Randoms.. it's a definitely tougher but I've had some hilarious results tbh - very weird ship but I do enjoy it - but yeah I'd rather play radar Mino in Randoms
Love the Pan-Am CL line so far, I'm at Santander and halfway there to the San Martin. Amusing how I find ships that others deem "bad" or "underwhelming" as ships that I actually enjoy playing.
I'm on Allende, and I love this line so far. I seldom break 100k dmg also, but what I do the most dmg to has low hp pools anyways. 50k dmg in a match sucks, unless that dmg was all on subs and dd's. These CL's are an irritation that can't be just ignored, but dealing with them is very difficult. Love it!
@@matthewbond375 yeah I feel like the south American CLs are a very potent nuisance. Death by a thousand cuts + "didn't hear no bell" meme comes to mind. I enjoyed the Iggy Allende and yes I gave her a nickname because I keep the ship in the roster haha. Santander was a little suffering tho. She feels slow compared to the VIII but it's just me I guess. Oh and great AA too.
I don't think I've seen a ship that's more reliant on teammates to actually have hands other than the Tiger 59. By the way, you should definitely do a Tiger 59 review for April fool's day.
@hagostaeldmann Definitely. Though, I think that was WG's intention to make it a cruiser that is dependent on team members. The only problem is that WG cultivated a playerbase that is ignorant, and it shows.
Didn’t feel attracted to San Martin at all so far. Now, as Lisboa is coming, I will get into her again. Two easy to proc talents and improved SE is just too good to ignore.
gdansk but it is less forgiving. problem with ragnar is there's lots of games where you have no ability to win in the end game because you dont have torps and you cannot farm while dark

playing a cruiser at all in 2024 WOWS is pretty masochistic

if it just had mino fuse time/threshold it would be way better and less team mate reliant

Give it Wooster HE but reduce the fire chance by like 4 percent
Also when lushun
Or just buff AP damage, so she will do decent damage even with overpens

It's a shitty version of both worcester and Minotaur but a really meme ship
basically
Which is better, Ragnar or Gdansk?
Uh Gdansk is very difficult to play...Ragnar is very comfortable to play ...

You must be really bad really, this crucier is hard to take out if you play well
Dunning-Kruger troll alert.
