Got Lenin in like early 2020, back when I was still a lobotomized AFK bot, so I didn't realize the value of it, specially the turret layout and the armor it brings when pushing. Now with my brain growing back and I understand the game more, it has already been ruined by CV, subs, and recently, powercreeping secondary battleships. Man it really makes me feel nostalgic about the pre-sub days.

Love my Lenin. I'm not q sub main but I do play them, and I cannot understand these guys playing sonar subs and focusing one target. A good Balao player can harass an entire fucking flank woth his homing torps and sonar pings, dummies shouldnt be going afk and traveling half the map at periscope depth.

The only CV with tactical squads is the independence at t6. (However the bombs don't pen bb's and the rockets are garbage, there is genuinely no reason to play t6 cv's other than Béarn to Speedrun ranked)

really good ship but cursed. I'm quite decent at BB (the Soviets too) but I constantly get shit matches in Lenin. Either the teams die like flies or I get seriously rectal examined by CV and Subs.

Great video, as always. You got me thinking about Benham when I was watching it, because Benham has very similar stats to La Pampa - especially the torps, which are the same, except that La Pampa gets +1 knot speed and slightly better damage. Benham is considered to be such an OP torp boat that you can only find it in Satan Crates and Super Containers these days. It shits the same torps that will never hit anyone moving away from you at 16 per 68 seconds with skill/module (in two sets of 8) and basically the same gun firepower. Assuming you don't give a shit about survivability and dropped +HP captain skill for fill the tubes for your La Pampa captain and are throwing torps on CD, you're spitting out about the same number in La Pampa until you run out of reload booster (15 in 105s, then 15 more in ~5 more seconds, repeat), but with better smoke, a heal, more HP, better conceal, better torpedo tube placement, the ability to do all the torps at once, etc. How sad are torp boats right now that the best most OP torp boat in T9, unavailable to peasants without stacks of money, if moved up a tier, is basically the worst ship in the game?

The fact that Montana was one of the first TX and is still relevant is kind of hilarious considering how power crept so many other TX ships are, especially because for a long time the Montana had a reputation for being the WORST TX ship. Turns out in a very cruiser-heavy and cruiser/DD sided game, being able to nuke cruisers from orbit through sheer weight of shell is pretty useful. Also I find it kind of ironic that like, DDs think the game is catered to Cruisers, Cruisers think the game is catered to BBs, and BBs think the game caters to everyone else. And everyone hates CVs equally, even other CVs. Edit: Also the argument of 'des moines vs Montana 1v1' is kind of farcical on its face. Cruisers aren't MEANT to solo BBs. BBs are SUPPOSED to be able to kill cruisers. Or, well, that was the stated design intent anyway, but who even knows with some of WG's balancing decisions. The game's intended to be played in a team-focused way, though it very rarely is. BBs counter Cruisers, Cruisers counter DDs, DDs counter BBs, that's how it's "supposed" to work. So 'Des Moines(or any other cruiser) loses a 1v1 to a BB' ... yes? That's... how it's supposed to work, on paper, lol.

When you say it has the worst guns, you dont take into account 50% of the shima players, and plenty of others, dont ever fire a gun, compared to zero guns 4 is plenty enough to kill.

La Pampa leaderboard is an NA issue (there is 5 player with +70% wr in the La Pampa leaderboard on EU and one of them has 80% WR) and I don't think that comparing the number of player with at least 70% wr is a good argument. That metric only indicate how popular a ship is (and how many player played it at least 80 battles) and considering how unpopular La Pampa is (less than 2000 player for 36k battle on EU....it's the least popular non-clone T10 DD) it's normal that there aren't many 70% wr player in the leaderboard.

I actually love the La Pampa, to be fair I played it in mostly asymmetric battles and operations. I just use it as a torp dd and use the brisk skill with speed flag helps with the speed problem

La Pampa is awesome, you can double smoke if needed, you vomit double the torps Shima can, low detect, combat instructions give you increased speed, the guns are both front facing making you hard to hit. The heal allows you to gun down other torp boats. Might not be to your liking, but its awesome.
