Thank you for all you do to help support and encourage me to keep on turning :)
God bless!!!
Yep. You're not only a craftswoman, but a wood turning artist. Thank you.
I hope you see this on an older video. You are an absolute gem on youtube. I have watched so many of your videos, learned and applied what you have taught me, and had so much fun improving my abilities. Of course youtube is full of videos but I keep coming back to see what your doing and always come away with something I can apply to my turning. I often feel guilty that I owe you something in return for what I have learned. This hobby has been so much fun!
I forgot, thank you SO much!
Super piece of mesquite, nicely turned! Appreciate your words of encouragement to show what we do... Keep turnin’!
Thank You!
I appreciate the notes embedded in your videos, they reveal the tools, the finish, the methods etc,Thank you
Thank you for watching!
another great video. Kim, thanks for being a honest woodturner and not like so many who are simply trying to be a movie star and only care about hit' sponsors and quantity rather than quality. Thank you.
aww thanks, Kim!! I pray I never get a big ol' head. May the Lord keep me humble.
Beautiful bowl Kim. I always enjoy watching your videos. Yeah find your videos to be very calming and peaceful. I hope you and your family are doing well and are safe during this stressful ordeal that we have going through.
Thank you, Scott!
I pray you and yours are well and stay well. 🤗🤗
I have been turning for about two years. Lately I have been discouraged because I don’t feel that I am as far along as I should be. But after watching your video I am encouraged once again. Thank you so much for your videos. Please keep them coming. You are an inspiration.
It is hard not to compare yourself to others and where they are. I obsessed over how "bad" i was compared to others. I had to learn to have joy in the process... we are ALWAYS in the learning process. Someone will ALWAYS be better. Just strive to be better than YOU were yesterday. One step at a time.Your best is good enough!! You WILL get better and better everyday. God bless and keep turning!
Looks good Kim, wasn't paying attention and had to come back for the thumbs up and comment. lol Happy Birthday !!!!!!!!
awwww Thanks, Doug!!! :)
Thanks. I learn so much from your honesty about challenges. I am a new turner.
Mesquite is a beautiful wood and so is the bowl. Keep cutting with authority! I enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, Kent!
Beautiful! A nice, simple shape which shows off the beauty of the wood to its max. I also use coffee grounds in cracks, but as I’m tight I use them first, then dry them for the workshop! They give a lovely smooth finish when they’re soaked in CA and turned...
Thank you!
Bless you back. New to turning myself and this video was awesome for me. I will be watching and following you
Hi Kim Tippin, I love watching your videos, I am a new wood turner and I learn from each one. This bowl turned out great, although I see you turned it over a year ago. Nice job as always.
Beautifully done Kim❤️. You are a very talented turner. 👍🇺🇸
Thank You! 😍🥰😘
That grain and color in the bowl is insane! Awesome turn.
THANK YOU!
Nice words of encouragement Kim. Maybe some day! Another fine project! Have a great weekend!
Thank you for watching, Bryan!
Beautiful bowl, Kim. Love to watch you turn and the advice and tips you give. God Bless
THank you, Pat! God Bless!
Awesome Kim the grain in that wood is magnificent and spectacular what an amazing bowl.
Thank you, Kobie!
Another wonderful looking piece! The grain really stands out! Beautiful
Thank You!
Very pretty wood and nice form. Like you I get too aggressive in my turning some times and don't enjoy the process. What happens some time is I ruin a turning and get a good scare which makes me take my time for a while again and I find it more fun that way.
That is some awesome looking wood. Thank you for sharing your talent, story, and thoughts with us.
God bless
Thank you so much for watching and listening, Lyle!! God bless you too!
Kim you make it

I am greener than this bowl!! I just purchased my first lathe. I have not used a lathe since 8th grade woodshop (1987), lol I live in Arizona and have access to unlimited Mesquite and Ironwood. I am a disabled veteran and have been using art as therapy, and have decided that wood working would be a great hobby to pursue. Thank you for this video, what an amazing message!! New supporter!!
Thank you so much for your service! I am blessed to know my videos are helpful.

What a gorgeous little bowl. To have bark, sap wood and heart wood all in the same piece just makes it a bit special.
Thank you!
Hi Kim I have a hard time with sharpening chisels. I need some advice please
Beautiful bowl Kim.
Thank You!
Yes beautiful firewood I can do that. You turn out some beautiful bowls
Thank you, Phillip! You are not alone in that for sure :)
That mesquite turns out absolutely gorgeous and you know just how to make shine in all it's glory.
Thank you!
Love the color pattern!
Thank you!!
And a pretty good job of it too Kim!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
Enjoyed the talk as much as the turn. You get green cherry and mesquite- that wood is so expensive here that it is not used a lot. We get ash and maple, which are beautiful in their own way. I think the learning to be patient and work on finishing cuts is very common- You could have been talking about me
lol Thanks, Scott! Thank you for sharing that with me. Sometimes I feel like the only one that struggles with those things. I am happy and not happy to know I am not the only one. lol
I am blessed with friends an family that keep me in mind when it comes to wood. I never knew half these trees even grew in our area until I started turning. I thought all we had in Florida was Oak, Pine and Palm trees lol amazing how much you learn turning ;)
Hi Kim, beautiful piece. Keep the videos coming. Blessings
That has some really great coloring. Beautiful work!
GREAT VIDEO LOVELY BOWL
Thank you!
Pretty bowl, great commentary
Thank you, Dennis!
Kim, keep a piece of beeswax by your lathe and scrap a little on the screw chuck before you mount a piece of wood. Helps when taking the piece off.
Thank you for the tip!! I will start doing that!
Thank you for the video, I enjoy every one do.
Thank you!
Great piece. Love the natural wood
High quality skills it's awesome. Cheers Kim
Thank you, Sony!
Hey Kim that is a beautiful bowl but what's more beautiful is What the verse on your lathe did for Dennis Beamish. That is a PERFECT example of witnessing for the Lord and what it will do for another soul. The Holy Spirit will do the rest. You are the BEST!!!! ThankQ!!!
Thank you!! Yes, My heart is so full :) Praising Him for it!!
Another Masterpiece Kim,😉
Thank you, Earl!
Very nice work Kim
Thank you, James!
Very nice bowl... Happy Birthday!
Thank you!! :)
Your finished pieces are beautiful. I can only imagine how pretty your firewood is. 🤣
That is such a gorgeous bowl. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the encouragement you give to new turners like myself. I've been turning for 3 months and haven't tried a bowl yet. I'm still struggling with fear of catches since getting a couple of whoppers. I'll get there though in time. Thanks again.
Thank you, Terry! Yes you will get there! When I first got my bowl gouge, I got a catch 1st thing. i put it away for 2 weeks before I would pick it up again. I was determined to figure it out. I watched how other turners held their gouge and watched what part was doing the cutting. After hours of watching, i picked up that gouge and went back at it. The catches were less and less as I learned what I was doing to get them and as I "felt" the tool cut. keep on going and you will get this!! YOU CAN DO IT! :)
Gorgeous awesome job take care my friend god bless
God Bless, Donald! Thank you!
I’m so glad your on! I sure enjoy watching u create and your skill! Once my wife and I get moved to the southwest I plan on delving Into this medium...I paint with oils, I write novels, short stories, scripts, etc. and I’m a musician...guitar musician so art is in my blood 🩸 now I think I will not get my blood out of this but into it. As I said I just love watching u. Be safe...beautiful project with a beautiful outcome.
Thank you so much, Mike!
A nice piece, Well done
Thank you, Colin 🤗

Thank you!
Your narrative throughout this video goes WAY BEYOND turning! I felt so much guidance and insight coming from you. You are a phenomenal lady! So glad to have found this channel and your soul’s beauty. 🙏🏻♥️
Thank you so much 🤗🤗🤗
My husband loves turning mesquite.
The wood has such beautiful character .
Yes, it does! Thank you for watching!
Happy Birthday Kim 🎂
Thank you so much Steve!!!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words for us newbies, Kim! I fell in love with the grain of the mesquite - I love that contrast! I don't know that I will ever work up as much 'authority' as you, but I am closer to it today than I was yesterday! God bless you, Kim!
Thank you, Fonda!!
That is all that matters! Keep them shavings flying! God bless you too!
Another great video. Maybe you could have a video on how you sharpen negative rake scrapers, etc.
Maybe one day soon I will do that. I have negative rake already so buying a new one to show how it is done, start to finish, may have to wait till I need a new scraper.
Beautiful work, great technique. You are good
Thank you so much, Eddie! You are amazing! I appreciate the kind words and support! Thank you, Thank you!! We are lifting you up!🤗☝️😇
“Cutting with authority”. Good description, I actually laughed out loud.
Another stunning bowl Kim.
Keep up the good work.
😁😁😁 Thank you!!
Such a beautiful bowl, lots going on with the grain. I learn something new from every one of your great vids. Love the coffee grounds. Amazing tool control - you make it look so easy. Thank you for your encouraging, upbeat, inspirational commentary! You make turning fun. Blessings.
Thank You! God bless!
Kim, I really appreciate your work. Have a blessed weekend!
Fantastic piece..love it
Thank you, Al!
Nice bowl KIm,cheers Colin.
Beautiful bowl, Kim. The simple shape really highlights the grain of that wood. Great philosophy, too. Thanks.
Thank you, William!
Hi Kim, he did a wonderful job is beautiful, but don't take wood for granted. Remember, they were living things one time and we should appreciate the fact that. We kill a lot of trees. A lot more than we should. This world needs those things. We need those things for things other than we've been growing, but we need them growing too. So it's not just would hun. I'm sorry don't mean to. God gave us those for more than just growing I know but we should appreciate the fact that they're living things to Anyways Please take care and God bless. Can't wait to see her next project.
On the worm screw scrape some candle wax on the screw before you screw it on. It will be easier to get off. Great job 👍
Beautiful!
Thank you , Stuart!
I learned how to turn bowls from youtube also. Mesquite is a great hard wood to work with , and it finishes out nicely.
I got my lathe less than a week ago so my knowledge can fit in a thimble. I appreciate your videos and encouragement
Awesome!! Thank you for watching!! Have FUN!!
Another masterpiece you make it all look easy. I would live to try it but sadly I don't have room for a lathe.
Thank you ! I am sorry :(
Awesome stuff!
Thank you!!
That's so pretty love it
Great looking bowl Kim
Nice project and even better advice...TY
