Good morning! Nice to see a video from Kim this fine day. Great tips for resin molds. The, 'Made With Love,' replacement handle will be a treasure for your Mom. Thumbs up.
It’s Extra Special to make something for your Mother! 🙏
Please keep on commenting as you turn. You have a soothing voice and listening to you, keeps all of us grounded also. Thank You & GBY
Now you have opened the floodgates - every time a friend or family member breaks a handle, you will have a video to make. Cool handle, Kim, and it's REALLY cool that it meets with your Mom's approval!
I like the talking. All of us have started turning and something happens. Severe cracks, neck too thin on a vase so we make it a hollow form. Thinking aloud helps everyone from new turners to competent learn to deal with situations. So keep on talking.
Thank you 😊 I can't help but explain my thoughts. I am female so there is that.... lol 😉
You made me laugh at loud when you said you didn’t have the patience to work that blank out. I hope you are doing alright with your kidney stone issues. Prayers for your quick and complete recovery. God bless.
I totally do the same thing for my mom! It's so nice to be able to renew your mom's favorite things and make them better than they ever were before! And she's always reminded about how much you care for her every time she uses it, too. :D
Btw, you can contact these woodworking companies and see if you can work out a deal with them to take their scrap wood. It can make it easier to pick it up that way. Many companies have to pay to have their reject product hauled away, so taking it off their hands for free and reusing it can look really good to a company. My step-dad had worked for a marble products company and they were thrilled when he asked to take some of their scrap off their hands! We got a whole marble patio out of the deal for FREE. That's probably like a 2k+ value!
Really nice whisk, btw. I prefer shiny finishes myself, so semi to high gloss or it just doesn't look really good to me. But I'll bet your mom was over the moon for this!
Great job Kim, what a good daughter you are and hopefully your mum whisked you up something yummy 😋 you can’t go past a mum’s cooking. All the best to you.
Regards Jim
Thank you so much 🤗 So true!
Very beautiful Kim and I am sure your mum loves it. I love the contrast of wood and epoxy and the shape is a simple but very effective one I just think this is a fantastic project 👍👍👍
Thanks Kim for sharing in such a busy time Hopefully you and your family are well
Very nice Kim, nice to see you back at the lathe.. Don't worry about all the talking, most of us men have learned how to smile & nod when a woman gets wound up.. Blessings...
LOL Smart man!! Thank you so much!
Most women have to do the same and sometimes close their ears.
You are a lucky young lady to have a mother to turn for. And she is lucky to have a daughter who will turn for...
I gave my little green HF lathe to a coworker that wanted to take up wood turning and he’s doing wonderfully with it I’m happy it found a good home.
😁🤗
Nice too have you back. Very nice looking handle. Sure she's mighty proud of it.

It was good to see you turning anything. Always enjoy you pieces, they are so useful. I have a Jet 1221 if you need something a little larger. you can just use it.
An entire year we have to wait until your dream house will be finished and the 'real wood shop and lathe' will be available again?
That's very, very long, Artista!
Well done. Good to see you back on the lathe. Looking forward to seeing more

Glad to see you turning. Nice handle.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Florida Woodturning Symposium.
Nice handle. That whisk looks really well used!
I have some whisks that could use handles…. Beautiful work!! Good to see you back!
Wonderful job, I'm sure your mom loves it. Good to see you back.
BTW
You didn't talk too much in the intro.
Amazing work as always. And everytime I watch Avengers endgame it reminds me of the iloveyou3000 lamp you made
Thanks for the pro tip about having a soap dish mold for excess resin!
Nice color blend with the resin and wood.
Very nice job Kim Prayers your way
Thank you so much, Woodden 🤗
Copper and brass heat up incredibly fast! I've learned the hard way when making guards and bolsters for knives. I'm working on making some coffee scoops from copper plumbing caps, mild steel for a handles and rivets to hold it all together. Now you've got me wondering how it would look with a wood/resin handle. Great work and nice safe for Mom! God bless.
That is a great idea! Wood handles would be beautiful!! I actually bought some copper measuring spoons today at hobby lobby , on salenof course. I am going to make wooden handles for them.
@@KimTippin I look forward to seeing how that comes out!
Like that idea for the handle it looks great Kim
Awesome and very practical for your mom. Love it...
That ought to work, Kim. I'm sure she loves it!
Good to see a new video. Great project! God Bless
Excellent gift ideas Thanks
Very beautiful Kim I love it I hope you and your family are doing well and God bless
Well done Kim. Im alsoLooking forward to your getting the Logana back in a year
Nice project. Miss you. 🙂
Hey Kim, You may want to try the harbor freight router speed control dial to slow that lathe below mach 5. Also try checking the underside of the lathe for goo. When my tools wouldn't lock down, I found several layers if undetermined ick under there. Great to see you back in the shop as well.
You may also do as I had to do on mine and turn the plate on the bottom of the lock handle 1/4 turn at a time to shorten the distance of the space. Love all your work.
Welcome back. Excellent work as always!
Fantastic!!! I love the way it turned out!❤
Hey kim nice to see you again nice job on the whisk I love that handle
Beautiful handle ♥️
Thank you so much, Maddie 🤗
I love this! God bless you and yours!
Beautiful handle Kim.
Nicely done. Expected nothing less.
I really liked how you figured the heat build up might not be a good thing and you still grabbed it! Nice to know I’m not the only one to do something like that. Still a nice job though.
lol Yeah, I know but don't listen... apparently. lol It happens... Thank you!
Nice to see you Kim 👍 💯
I enjoy hearing you explain the process of your projects. It's especially now that you're using a smaller lathe. Some day soon I hope to be able to get a lathe so all the tips and pointers in your videos will be a big help when I get started.
This was a great idea! I love it! Hope things are going well for you. 💜
Very nice. I bet mom loved it
That is so cool 😎 😍 it looks antique
Nice work Kim. 👍
So very nice! I need you to come make some handles for me.
That came out beautifully!
To try and fix your other lathe problem take the tailback off and sand your contact surfaces on the rails and the tailstock usually build-up of glue or your shine juice will cause it not to lock down.
Looked at those lathes before getting my Jet 1221vs they are pretty nice very heavy-duty. The handle turned out beautiful Kim!
Glad 2 watch anything u post
Hi Kim. Try clay at the bottom to prevent leaks.
That’s a nice handle. 👍👍
That's really nice, Kim. It's great that you can do something like this for your mom. Stay safe and we'll see you next video.
Bill
Thank you so much, Bill 🤗
Great Video!!! 👍👍
Thank you, Charity!
So glad to see you're video
A old treadmill motor with the speed controller works great for that
A year can go pretty fast! It’s been a year since I was burned out of my home of seven years and I’m now living with my brother in northeastern California. The fire was very traumatic for me but at least I have a new place to call home.
That turned out really nice Kim!👌 Sure glad to see you turning something! Heck we love to hear you talk! 😊 Thank you for sharing and God bless! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much!! God Bless!
