Mercedes is such a good sport. She’s a bit too much of a girlie-girl to have truly been excited about this adventure, but was still a trooper. Meanwhile, Sage is having an absolute blast! I LOVE that she took time to enjoy the water. Mark is such a good helper for both of the girls. Looks like a great time, and the property continues to delight.

Absolutely the best fathers day anyone could ask for. Sage was having a ball in all that water. Nature is wonderful with all she has created for us. Once Mercedes got her water legs, she left you guys in the dust LOL. I hope Skippy is recovering well. We have got to get down there to

that was just so beautiful. I can see the limbs gently trimmed and go tubing down it. Just beautiful. Loved hearing Sage laugh and having such a wonderful time. This has been amazing for her.

I moved to NV from KY many years ago and watching this video reminds me of doing this very same thing in the creeks with the kids..one of my most favorite outdoor activities

Such a beautiful place. I was born and raised in NE Alabama and used to run around in the creeks and woods all day long. Of course we didn't have cell phones back then to worry about getting wet. Can't wait to see Thunder Canyon in person.

The water moccasins/cottonmouths have hatched out and aren't usually a problem.
Snapping turtles are, but the issues are leeches in pooled water and Appalachian Timber Rattlers. You do NOT want to come upon them and in this heat and dry, COPPERHEADS NEED WATER, and THEY are very very bloody dangerous.
You know, I'm not sure I can still do it proper, but if you want a REAL tour of your property, I'll be more than happy to show you around. I talked with my brother and he said he'd half it out with me.
Have you found the wild blueberries yet? They won't be ready to pick(blackberries are getting there fast and the green apples
that was FANTASTIC! I've done something similar in Covington near Madisonville, except there were copperhead snakes involved. We stayed in an abandoned cabin....with a family of mice living inside the oven....but the evenings? Oh MAN! The deer and rabbit walked right up to the porch! it was incredible!
