We're at Thunder Canyon Campground right now and it's everything John and Mercedes have said it is and more. We have a beautiful site, it has been so relaxing to be here. Everyone has been so friendly (and helpful when the AC went out on our rental Class C in 98 degree weather!). We'll definitely be back. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality! :)

Howdy gang. I first want to say, that my time at Thunder Canyon last week was great. Nugget and I had fun and we met some really nice folks both in the camp ground and also in Ider. I was there during the Preparation H event and have to say I was in tears watching this vid. Best of luck moving forward and hope Skippy heals fast. I WILL be returning to Thunder Canyon. I agree with John, this should be a State Park.

I have been watching your channel for over a year now, your humor, love & Emotion is uplifting/ I lost a ton weight in mid 2020. We finalized our divorce after a decade on St. Patricks day of 2021. ( the Judge thought it would funny, but it was my lucky day for reaI ). We are both at peace & still cordial, I had 3 surgeries in 2021 which has made me healthier. My last child graduated 2 weeks ago & I decided I'm going to buy a truck & a nice fifth wheel and start some new adventurous journeys while I still have lots of energy to get started.

turning Thunder Canyon around from what it was to what it is now definitely required someone with contractor experience and knowledge of many of the same skills needed for commercial/home building. Maintaining the campground is important too but can be done at a slower pace. Looking forward to your next Campground renewal project starting.

Your story is beautiful and inspiring. I think a lot of people could learn a lot from it about humility, forgiveness, selflessness, and teamwork. And most importantly, how much God truly does love us and cares about our concerns and needs. No matter what comes, He's there lifting us, carrying us, comforting us, strengthening us, blessing us to get through it all.

I would love to see some vegetable garden boxes. This is perfect to grow there and to help folks learn to grow their own vegetables. With the world changing people need to go back to the core and learn what it is like to hunt, grow and forage for their food.

Love, love, love! So wish we could afford the gas to get to Thunder Canyon! Last year I was so excited to become part of this wonderful venture, but diesel between CO and AL at 2022 prices is impossible for us, at least for now. But I will continue to support with my prayers and continue to pray that, if God wills, He will open the door for our family to participate. Love you guys so much!

In many cases replacing the thermocouple (cheap) on old gas appliances will bring them back to life. Older mechanical equipment was built to last almost forever. The new mass-produced devices....appliances, cars, electronics....5 to 10 years max life.
The electronic circuit boards that go into every device will often fail within a few years due to latent material defects and low quality standards in "country of origin" production facilities such as those in China.
We just did our first breakfast this morning and the griddle struggled….we need more help
Laura in Georgia is no long in Georgia... We've moved to Iowa to be closer to the grandkids. (& Currently living in the RV!) I'm praying you guys find a place close to here. I really want to spend some time camping at one of the campgrounds.

Wow, this has been a great journey for me. I started off a year and a half ago just wanteding to know how to set up a travel trailer because my dad had one 26 years ago he passed away and I never got to ask him how To buy one or set it up. he just did and I just ran to the beach. So I watch you guys all the way learning getting educated we had some unfortunate events or we could not purchase our travel trailer I was looking at a 37 foot one, but seem to get back on track family comes first. But all the life lessons that you have taught us John and Mercedes we do appreciate it, watching Sage grow up was a blessing in front of our eyes really puts family into perspective we will continue to watch and learn congratulations on all your success and start as many Family Boy Scout base campgrounds as you can, coming from a former Boy Scout. so there’s a place for our rig when we get it going 2023!! thanks for all the time you guys put into editing and doing this.

Have watched you from the beginning. Love to see how you have grown through this project. Looking forward to see the adventures to come. We are home for the summer due to the great hail storm on May 1, 2022 in Amarillo Tx repairing things. 5th wheel goes in mid August for a new roof. Looking forward to some travel in the fall.

Congratulations. It's amazing what hard work and good people to help can accomplish. Some folks tend to put Alabama down but you're not going to find better, nicer, more genuine people anywhere. I can't come this 4th but will work on a date we can visit later.
