Hi Reto, thank you so much for playing our game! As a fan of yours, it's extra fun for me :)
About the campaign, you're right that everything unlocks very quickly in the prologue. You'll unlock all the units by the time the prologue is done. There are 10 levels in the prologue, so you're about half-way through. After the prologue, the campaign has 75 levels, each with a unique set of challenges / boons and some have specific starting squads. For instance, there's a level where you start with 5 holy cows (a very rare unit), and another where you keep having zombies added to your militia. The first level of the campaign is the "vanilla" mode, which is what you played before in Early Access, so it just gets crazier from there.
Clarification on Aegis: the wording is a little funky right now. Basically it only gets the buff when it protects something that WOULD have been destroyed. For instance, it would have been great in your alchemist build because it would protect the gold, keeping the gold around for longer and getting extra buffs from protecting them.
Clarification on damage: Upgrades to base damage are always permanent. Bonus damage and damage multipliers are temporary. They apply like this: (Base + Bonus) * Multiplier = Total
Thank you again! I hope you have a great day.
@@natanoj16 Thank you for the kind words, enjoy!
Why not say “gains permanent +1 when protecting a unit” or something like that?
I absolutely love this! I'm going to go pick it up right now. You did an amazing job!
@@calebwooley5187 That's a good idea! It was something like that and we changed the wording to try to shorten it but we went a little overboard. We'll definitely change it back to something like what you suggested soon!
@@heckzotica Thanks so much, enjoy!
I hope to see a mini series on this. It is such a fun game to watch.
Agreed
Would love to see a mini-series on this as well. It scratches a similar itch to games he's played in the past.
Agreed this was a shock out of the recents. Instant like
I agree, would definitely watch it!
It's a great game to play a quick run or two, lots of interesting synergies
Would love to see more!
I absolutely LOVED this
Those side and back spots ARE usable spots, but they can only be used by very specific units that have the power to be there. It's a kind of 'bonus space'!
Holy shit they are pendulum monsters
@@TheGrimbler holy hell
Would love to see a series or miniseries on this game!
Hope to see more
More please!
I enjoyed this would like to see more
This was really fun. I'd like to see more of this game.
I might be wrong but would be funnier if instead of humans to attack monsters, you used monsters to attack public buildings, like the final boss being the IRS.
Fun one to watch!
Do series
Also would love to see a series
Great to see you coming back to this. I bought it after watching your last video.
I hope I see more of this campaign as it was really cool to see
This game seems really fun.
I cant even begin to comprehend what this games codebase looks like...there is so very much..i dig it
Oh man, I don't think I even would have heard of this game without this video, but after watching this I instantly sunk thirty hours into it. What a weird little gem, it feels like something from the 90s that would have come on a CD attached to a magazine.
I really really hope you play more of this Reto! This was such an interesting game and it absolutely scratches that Endgame of Devil itch. This would definitely be a fun miniseries
Side note: in my head cannon, you are Simon from Alvin and the chipmunks but red hoodie.
Reminds me a little of Endgame of Devil. How did I miss this jem?
Looks really interesting! Hope to see a bit more of this!
Oh they improved the game
did i miss something? the alchemist seems to forget that he is supposed to turn gold into scrap again
I'm guessing the gold marks itself for destruction before the alchemist can transform it so you would need an aegis to save the gold before they can turn it into scrap.
@@xriban4363 yes, that is probably it, seems counterintuitive or like a bug to me though, the order of operation should be that the alchemist goes first since the tooltip says he turns gold to scrap and nowhere it states that the gold has to be unmarked first
It is the fact that good marks itself for destruction on deployment while the alchemists transforms at the end of the turn after the destruction goes off, if they transformed first then the deck will get full very fast with alchemists duplicating transformed items, it also makes is so it has an end to the loop eventually
@@dragonlord4881 the bloat would have been a very funny drawback, it is like you just can't spam alchemists so they all scale, eventually the board would be full of not-alchemists and you have to actually plan for removal
