A psychedelic roguelike that blurs the line between real-time action and turn-based tactics. Play as misfit aliens, craft wild combinations between hundreds of weapons, items and abilities, and disable uncharted chronospheres: Colossal structures that consume time and distort reality.

Hey, thanks for playing!
You're spot on with your feedback (and in fact we've got some big systems for weapon and item power progression coming very soon).
Glad you enjoyed the early build!
(For the record dodge roll / enfilade is one of my favourite combos too. It's *filthy* with the double barrel shotgun 😎👍)
Do the cows have drops or an achievement for not killing them? Or is it just some cows?
I feel like actions shouldn't be turn based if you are not in combat to save time.
If it's anything like other simultaneous-turn-based games, you can just hold down the move to keep taking your move turns, and then the game is essentially going in real time.
right. probably that's why Baldurs gate and divinity is so goated
That was exactly the thought I had - if there's no enemies on screen, allow real-time movement.
Like fallout 1 and 2
Yoooo! I used to play this game when it came out back on itch io and was a really fun 2d roguelike, it's so cool that the game got such a huge and major update, turning a 2d game into a 3d one, adding abilities and so much stuff, I'm really happy that the old version is still there cause that game had no balance at all, I'll definitely check out the new version soon
Thank you Mr. UnknownMM13-c1j
I don't know what your thanking me for? But your welcome sir styxrakash4639
@@UnknownMM13-c1j i'm mildly sure that's a bot
@aronseptianto8142 oh.... that's dumb, thanks for letting me know, UA-cam really needs to fix this bot problem tho
The "delayed fire" effect on your rifle spawns the projectile in front of you but does not move it in the same action, unlike the regular fire.
Man this game mechanics reminds me so much of an old Flash game called Frozen Synapse. It's just a lot less strategy and more focused on tactics.
If only i could run that game without crashing 😞
If you didn't notice, your Surveyor's drill projectiles go through walls
The delayed shot just seems to be a shot that doesn't travel very far initially. I.e, standard shot travels the standard distance per turn in the turn you shoot it, the delayed quickdraw travels only a short distance when you shoot it, then travels the standard distance per turn after.
Please do another series on Have a Nice Death, they updated it so much and I think you'll love it (though you'll make it look like it's way too easy and I'm a chump for taking so many attempts to win a run) They even added an NG+ system!
this games looks so much FUN!
really would love u to return to this at one point
great vid
this looks amazing! Wishlisted.
Love your vids keep it up
This is very much my kind of deal! So much so that I want to wait to watch the full video until the game becomes available. Cus it's gonna make me really wanna play it! Definitely likin' and commenting on it because it's exciting! Hope there is a public demo or early access coming soon!
Imagine you get draft into WW3.
you are all alone hidden behind a corner.
you hear ''Good morning'' in a sped up pace. its Retromation's voice.
you turn around just to get blast point blank with a long range rifle.
this is the last episode you will ever see, because you are in it.
dies.
And you hear the same voice saying "Good night" as you bleed to death.
To solve the done getting stronger issue, I suggest making it so that anything you drop goes into an upgrade pool. So if I drop a Ricochet Rifle to use a different weapon, it upgrades Richochet Rifles for the rest of the run to Richochet Rifle+1.
Maybe for the pacing issue: You get tot click on the item pointer to go there/equip immediately. That way you do have to fight the enemies to get the thing you want, you don't have to fight the enemies you might want to avoid and you don't have to do these little steps all the time.
I can't remember the name but I'm sure there was a turn based game where you have free real-time movement once the floor is clear. Regarding the aiming, it would be nice if there was a line projecting the angle, in Steamworld Heist and Peggle you could even get a line showing more bounces.
Not sure if this is unique to Pathos (prob not) but it's a turn based dungeon crawler and if you click on the map, it will auto move you to the location UNLESS you come across loot or you aggro an enemy. I haven't played it in forever, so that may be a little off, but I think a movement mechanic like that would benefit this game a lot. Either way, it looks fun as hell!
This reminds me of a tile based Roguelike i played a while ago, i can't remember the name of it, but it was turn based based, and had a look similar to Adventure Time, it reminds me a lot of that game for reason, except a bit fairer in terms of difficulty!
ALMOST the turne based system i want in a game
cool cool
went to find it on the store. it was not there!!! :( SAD! looks like I have to wait till it comes out to try it.
This game is sick, I’d like to see the other characters if you are going to stick with it
I'm surprised how much reto reacted when getting a chest while having a full kit, i mean its a random loot table, what if you have items you dont need for your build, don't like, or don't use.
Then anything you get to replace it is still half an item because you aren't gaining a full upgrade, only the difference between what you had and what you got. There is just a large percentage of the game that will be spent with no more strength gained making builds quite stagnant unless you force yourself to take down/side grades just to get variety.
In Isaac terms for someone with an Isaac avatar, what if every single character was forced to be Tainted Isaac without any of the benefits he brings? There is a time and a place for it, but usually the genre is about building up a run.
Thats superhot gungeon 😍
did i hear gungeon. sold
i dunno why, but for some reason the movement giving me crypt of the necrodancer vibes
Top-down Super-Hot? 🔥 :)
I see you have no reason to do something at last floors, because you already have all guns and items.
Game seems great?
The answer to the movement issue is to draw the path in multiple steps like an OSU track showing where you're going to be at the end of each turn to get to where your mouse is, and then send you along that path, interrupting your movement if you see something new while you move, such as a revealed item, bullet, enemy, etc. The same should happen for weapon effects, especially the ricochets, just extend the targeting line and bounce it exactly as the bullet would.
first?
Too many games. Just. So many.
is good no?
@@markopopovic9874 It's a good problem to have, I just can't play them all.
