Internal Affairs Officer was what you were looking for regarding removal. It was a lot of words to say you had 3 deployments of either saving a unit or destroying it. (It’s one of the few if not the only units that gives you a direct choice for removal thus far - at least it was for the demo)
I think Zombie would have worked as well. It would have slowly turned all the humans to Zombies and Zombies auto-remove after 3 turns. At least that's how I read it.
I wish bosses had some gimmic to them. Like "your board now have +5 titles" (or -5), or "your max dmg cant be higher than X", or "boss deals 1,5 dmg instead of 1", or "[subtype] deals 5 less damage", etc
Darrr is probably the Beastmaster. From that tv show
I can never get enough of these types of games. Loved Luck be a Landlord, Endgame of Devil and Rally: Endless Conquest. Another one will fit right in! Thanks. :D
I think the pacifist could've made the soldiers infintely loop between civilians and soldiers. Question would've been if they kept their bonus damage.
I love the concept of this game. Hope they add the Jersey Devil.
you should try a loop between soldiers and passifist. giving chances to not get hit and chances that your soldiers are next to civilians to gains permanent dmg
My favorite lower 48th state, Quebec.
Was fun to watch and my first encounter with this type of genre
I wouldn't mind to see a series on this after the Endgame of Devil series is finished.
Cool looking game and just cheeky enough to make me smile. Did you check if transformed units keep any buffs they had? If they did Pacifist, Soldier and Civilian has some scaling ability.
It’s been a bit since I’ve played the demo, but I believe they do. The soldier/pacifist combo was a decent one I used in the demo (and now soldiers have a new scaling ability that makes it even better). It would have been redundant for this videos build, but it had saved some games where my build was scaling poorly.
Damn that Diabeet though xD
getting a bunch of game devs early on will spiral out of countroll real fast. Game Dev effect: every base dam 0 gets his base damage as bonus damage. Whenever that happens add +1 Base Damage to game dev. My Pacifist dealt well over 300 damage against the final (well difficulty +1, so number 13) boss EACH, and i had 5 of them... also the only other not base damage 0 'unit' i had was the engineer, aside my 4 gamedevs ...damage round past 5k was bonkers. could probably dealt even more damage if i had almost exclusively human 0 damage and altars
Looks great!
The bosses just being the same hp sponges together with no easy removal options make this a skip for me. The ui for seeing how much your units are doing is also pretty tedious. But interesting game.
I would like to see more tho!
you deal 58k damage on the griffon boss, 78k damage for another boss wouldnt be that har to do
Interesting game.
I like these types of game's but the art style kind of bothers me.
commeenntt
too much reading
I almost liked this game. It’s a shame they couldn’t keep politics out of it.
What is political about it, the fact that they made a pun out of the name of a politician? It is on nobody's side lol.
Boo, seeing the words NPR and burny sanders upset me /s my only concern with these references is they won't make sense in 15-20 years. Well the burny one anyhow.
@@Retromation The end credits also has stuff about how you've "saved the country" from Burny Sander's "scalding politics" as well as "diversity DEMON" implying diversity is bad/evil. I guess you could also count the NPR boss as another thing you need to "free the country" from.
It's not enough to do more than make me roll my eyes personally, but this is was relatively short demo, yet even in this short run there were several political jabs for no reason.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say these are a pretty big stretch. I genuinely don't believe the game is trying to say literally anything negative (or anything at all really) about either of those three mentioned. I truly think the dev just likes wordplay. The game can't be taken seriously enough for me to think anything in it is an actual political stance.
@@Retromation I was unbothered until the credits. “Save our country” is the same inflammatory type of rhetoric causing division and misinformation politics and minimizing your opponents views lead to demonizing people and justification for acts of violence. You have the right to think it’s a stretch, but in my opinion it’s important not to platform disinformation in any form. The dev might think it’s cute, but won’t have my support. Bottom line.
Retor, I love your chanell but Luck be a Landlord is _not_ a genre, dude. you can't keep titleing videos like this. I have no idea what's happening.
The problem is that these types of games do not really have a genre. They are a mix of gambling simulator (similar to a slot machine), an auto-battler and finally they are either roguelites or -likes. It's hard to give them a description without mentioning the first of its kind, which was Luck be a Landlord.
As long as people know what he means when he says 'luck be a landlord genre', it isn't really a problem imo.
"Drafting Roguelike" is the genre, and I say it every time. Nobody knows that genre name yet so I say "Luck be a Landlord Style game" in _addition_ because you know exactly what that means.
@@Retromation I know what you mean when you say 'Luck be a landlord style' It's your videos i'm having trouble telling apart, not the content of the games. :)
wait i guess that's not what my first comment said.
